Not a bad place to go to if you're looking for a walk in. But as a PCP provider specifically the…read morefemale doctor, I have not found her very personable and to have great bedside manners or make you feel comfortable. She's rather awkwardly quiet from a time she gets in there she does not give good greetings or even look you in the eye hardly. The most she looks at you and speaks to you is at the very ending of the appointment. So for like 10 to 20 minutes it can be come quite uncomfortable when you're in the room with her and she's just focused on her computer and barely looking at you or talking to you. Hopefully in the near future they can improve their quality of performance when it comes to communicating and being personable with their patients.

Hence-Ashley who is one of the office clerks; pulled a 360 degree turn from her use to be professionalism to her lack of professionalism and disrespected me out loud without any restraints; due to my making an inquiry of the wait time on my scheduled appointment! I was merely concerned because my last scheduled appointment went into a hour waiting period and I was not able to see the physician; I truly wanted to know what the status was at that time on that day; for that particular appointment. Moreover-Ashely yelled at me and told me if I didn't have the time to wait-to go somewhere else! this gesture was shocking and uncalled for-seeing as Ashley had called me the evening before asking me if I could come in at an earlier time; in hopes of helping other clients with their appointments, I did not hesitate to comply with her request. Furthermore-once I did get called for the appointment; the nurse who's name I didn't get; was in a rage and resorted to trying to treat me like a child by her statements to me of how sometimes appointments can take up to an hour or longer; and that's just the way it is, I can accept that or go somewhere else! Hence-like I mentioned I've been a client of this organization for 6 months; and was treated nicely until the day of July 9, 2024. I will continue to receive treatment from my physician who has always been more than professional; but I just wanted to let the public and other clients know of the nasty behavior I had to endured just because of my making an inquiry of the wait time-since there has been a change of ownership; and certain staff is not wanting to play out the transition as a learning curve for all. I deeply regret having to write this review-but I care about my community and want the conditions of the sometime long waiting periods at Rolla Urgent Care can become frustrating-without hurting anyone's feelings.

After a disastrous experience at another clinic I decided to switch to the BJC clinic in Cuba, MO…read more I live locally, but if you're coming from out of town, take Exit #208 from Highway 44. The clinic is located just East of the Walmart parking lot. There is ample parking with disabled parking spots right in front of the door. COVID procedures: The clinic asks that everyone wears a mask upon entering. Some seats are blocked off with tape to encourage social distancing. Staff will talk to you through a glass partition and all paperwork is contactless. As far as I know you need to have a recent negative Covid test in order to be accepted as a new patient, but please call them and double check this policy. GENDER POLICY: There is a spot on the initial paperwork to enter your legal name/gender, preferred name/gender. Staff will address patients by preferred name/gender. The clinic is open Mo-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm. It is staffed by a doctor, an OB-GYN and a nurse practitioner. Appointments are easy to get and they will work with your schedule. Since January of this year I have visited five times and have received services from the Nurse Practioner (she functions as my main health care provider), the OB-GYN and the doctor. All three are professional, explaing procedures and best practices ahead of time and making sure I am comfortable. Tests like sleep studies, X-rays, etc. are referred to BJC Hospital in Sullivan (17 miles away) and appointments there are also easy to get. This clinic as well as the entire BJC Healthcare system offers "My Chart" as an online portal. That makes sending a message to my health care provider super easy and she usually responds within 24 hours. I had a major health issue and messaged the Nurse Practioner asking for an appointment. Within 4 hours I received a call from the Nurse asking that I come in immediately to deal with the problem. Test results are usually available at the online portal within 24 - 72 hours (I get an e-mail alert when they are available), but staff will also contact me by phone. I had to take a test at the Hospital for a recent health scare on Thursday morning and was called on Friday morning to let me know that my test results were negative even though the actual test results were not available on the online portal until Saturday afternoon. That saved me from having to worry about this over the weekend. Prescription renewals are also easy to get. However, this clinic will not prescribe narcotics as a rule and will refer you to a pain clinic within their system if that is what you need. I haven't had to take advantage of this yet, but I assume that this too is very professional. I can't say enough good things about this clinic. Cuba is a very small town and to have top-notch health care just minutes from home is a great relief.

Dr. McIntosh has been my primary care doctor for over a decade. He is very personable and has an excellent bedside manner. He has seen me through quite a few health issues and always pops through when I've been admitted to the hospital. We don't have all the answers for my health problems but I can't say he doesn't LISTEN to every single one of them. He orders tests and refers me to specialists when needed. I've never felt misunderstood or dismissed which is not something I can say for many many specialists I've seen. To be fair, Auto Immune diseases are notoriously difficult to diagnose but I can confidently say Dr. McIntosh is doing everything he can to help me get answers. I would send anyone I know to see him without reservation. *Read up on Celiac Disease, doc! The amount of misinformation from medical professionals on this is criminal and a huge disservice to those who have it. Effects from celiac damage can spill over into almost every other part of your body. Celiac is for life and a negative blood test/scope (after a positive one) means you're doing well GF. it does NOT mean Celiac went away and you can eat what you wish! Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk (which I shockingly have to give to almost every doctor I've seen.)

I was sold after my first appointment. If you live in the St. Peters/O'Fallon area, this is your guy. If you live downtown, this is still your guy. I swear he's worth the drive. I've never had a doctor pay more attention to what I'm telling him and genuinely care about what it is that I'm saying... and that's priceless. He's also a pretty funny guy who tries to be "hip" to what's going on in the world and strikes up the funniest conversations! Dr. McIntosh is thorough and knowledgeable, and he'll get you back up and running in no time. I've seen him for typical stuff such as allergies and colds, and he makes great recommendations and always gives me tips that help me feel ten times better. I even had to call the after-hours line once with a bad sinus infection (sure he appreciated that one) and he was still as caring and attentive even though I was bugging him late at night. What puts him above all others is how he follows up and doesn't give up until you've fixed whatever the problem is. For myself, the allergy queen, he prescribed a medicine and a nose spray and had me check in with him 7 days later via the phone, and we spoke that often until he had me on a plan that was working wonders. Looks like I'll be driving that 45 minutes next time I need him!
