Smallest Y that I have ever been to... Closed Sundays, abbreviated hours (only open until 1pm on Saturday), reservations are needed for classes (which has not been done at other Ys since Covid precautions were lifted). The staff have been very nice. read more

Give credit where credit is due: The YMCA opened the pool and it appears to be in service this summer. Progress! But frankly I can't figure out why they need 2 to 3 lifeguards for a pool the size of a tennis court? Seems like it would cost a fortune and they look, at a minimum, to be very bored. Since all members sign all their rights away when becoming a member, why not just add a condition to cover the swimming at your own risk part? Minors need parents present, etc but the rest of us are totally capable of handling it on our own and making the place more affordable for all! read more

Mom tried to attend classes here and had to quit due to no enforcement of masks during the Covid pandemic, including INSTRUCTORS teaching group classes. I can't think of a more dangerous way to conduct classes. read more

I would normally not feel led to write anything about our local YMCA , but sadly as we have been members off and on for years. Only canceling due to family members moving out, or covid, etc. We have noticed the lack of classes offered, pool closed more and the YMCA doesn't match what their app says, so if you go there expecting a class or to swim... you can't. So make sure you call first. We haven't used the facility for almost 5 months since we re-joined. So this review is more regarding the managements decision not to reimburse us for our last payment when we called to cancel our membership 2 weeks in advance of our pay date....and were told by a staff to call back or come in on the "day of" your due date. We were later told by the manager, unfortunately the staff person who told us to come later was a "new hire" and gave us wrong information, so the draft from our bank account already went through and we can't change it. (Certainly false) Why don't they take the money from the "new hire's" paycheck and give us our $68.00 back??? Quite disappointed since we have been very loyal local members for so many years. We practically raised our kids there. Sad and truly surprised at this managers disregard. read more

Very run down this YMCA must be rated the most dumpy in the nation. Many other YMCA's have indoor pools, kids clubs, racquetball courts and plenty to do. Our Y looks like a FEMA trailer. Very sad. The staff is amazing the building should reflect them. read more

Terrible Y. I was willing to look past how filthy this facility is given the generally friendly and accommodating service. My patience, however, has run out given my latest experience. After being told via email that the basketball league I regularly enter a team into was an 'open age' league. I had a young man on my team physically removed from the court mid game, after he was already signed up and paid. The excuse from the Y staff members was that the young man (15 years of age) was too young. This, after being told the age was open and this, after having competed multiple times against other mid to late teens in this very league. The situation was handled disgracefully. When I challenged the staffs position and behavior with evidence I was dismissed and told this particular young man couldn't play. They suddenly change their story, singling out one person for no good reason creating a terrible service experience for both he and I. This is against the very mission of the YMCA. Given this disgrace and the regular cleanliness issues I will never again be a member of this facility or enter a team in any of the leagues. Steer clear! read more

Really enjoyed working out at the St. Augustine YMCA. Nice free weight area which included 100 lbs. dumbbells. Great assortment of benches, cable machines and racks I was pleasantly surprised. Pricing was great for a vacation spot at $25.00 a week. Nice environment. read more

Old equipment and always dirty. Parking lot is sand and filled with random holes. This is the gas station fast food of YMCA's.

Love this ymca. The only downside to me is the pool hours. They are almost never open.

Okay so I don't even know where to start but here you go. I'm 16 years old I been apart of the YMCA for the last 4 years and I have nothing good to say. The employees are all jerks and don't know how to handle anything they only care about the old people even thought the YMCA means " Young Men's Christian Association" I get kicked out of the gym every time for the 70+ year old pickle ball players and one employee even threatening to beat me up because of something that happened outside the gym. And it's crazy that the more money you make the more you have to pay to go there. If your moving into town and are looking for a good gym this is not the place honestly for I could I would give it a 0 star . Bad place don't go read more

I love the Y. It's clean, it's all over the country and in Canada. It's a place where meathead shenanigans are not encouraged. Kids have plenty to do that's not in the way of the more dangerous equipment. There is a pool, group fitness room, cardio room, weight room, cycling room, basketball courts and they sell popicles in the summer! And the location is really pretty, tucked away in the brush like that. Go there if you have a family and earn enough money for their fee (which is worth it). read more

My membership to this YMCA did not last long. I placed my two boys (2&3) in the Kid Zone last night and went to do a quick 45 minute work out. I let the staff know that my youngest had separation anxiety and please do not hesitate to call over to the gym if he needs me...well, apparently they were more interested in their own conversation that what I had to say. I returned to the Kid Zone 50 mins later and my youngest was lying across the front doorway screaming and completely soiled to his lower thighs. It was heart wrenching. I asked if he had been crying for awhile and the worker responded "well...yeah." Bottom line: I cleaned my son, made a complaint to the supervisor (who acknowledged a policy had been broken) and cancelled my membership. read more

My girls love coming here for swim lessons. The instructors are patient and wonderful with the kids.

Oh my! This place has so many issues. I have sent my kids here to camp for the past several years. Every year it is some sort of unnecessary major ordeal which requires me to have to place multiple calls and visits to rectify the problem. Carol (Director-I think) is the only one there with any people/customer service skills. She is great. I am constantly disappointed at what should be a huge asset to the community is so mis-managed...year after year. read more
