The childcare hours are extremely limited and it's frequently closed without warning due to "understaffing" or general disorganization. There have been multiple days when parents show up ready to work out, only to find the child watch unexpectedly closed. After making the effort to pack up the kids and travel to the gym, we're forced to turn around and go home. No notice. No accountability. Just wasted time. For the price we're paying, this level of inconsistency is unacceptable. If childcare is advertised as part of the membership, then it should be staffed and dependable--period. Until they fix this, it's just not worth it.

I rode on FAFSA here as a low income student and never had an issue with the financial aid office. That's basically one of the few compliments I can give this school. The cafeteria food doesn't offer much variety and is at the same value as secondary school lunches, which doesn't say much. I only had one arts professor (Denise Evans) who I actually learned a lot from. She has a reputation for giving a hefty work load. She's the meticulous type which is likely why I got so much out of her class. She's definitely killing many forests with all the handouts, but each handout is very easy to read and helpful. Otherwise, not much other professors have made a good impression on me, if any impression at all. Good luck If you're dealing with bullying or discrimination here because here is where my story gets rocky. I had a professor named Brian Overman my first semester for my architecture courses. He was definitely not liked by quite a bit of students because he would come across as arrogant sometimes. I overlooked this after a while because I'm not that judgmental unless a person just seems downright awful. I used to talk to him once in a while even after I switched my majors but still remained having classes in the same building (ATC). I lost any respect for this person after a situation during my last year. I gifted him architecture mugs near the holidays because I thought of him when I saw them and simply thought it was a nice gift for an architect. Man, did he make me regret that. He did the total opposite of a considerate "I appreciate the offer but I cannot accept this". Rumors spread to some of the students in the building accusing me of having feelings for him. If you're familiar with the ATC, it's not that big and many students mingle since they have the arts and classes in common. Yes, he did approach me at some point earlier on, but he placed me on a pedestal when doing so. He stated that he was worried I thought there was something more than "friendship". I denied having feelings for him but he carried on mocking me and didn't believe me. I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable. I actually went home crying to my best friend on the phone. The days got worse after that because of students harassing me in halls and classes. Certain teachers didn't even care if students were talking about it because everyone who heard the rumors believed them. The bullying got to a point that I relapsed into depression and was legitimately afraid for my safety on campus. Not a single person would hear me out though and needless to say I was bitter for it. Apparently, this professor is still employed here but retired from full time. Sharing this may sound petty to some people, but I hope this gets across since the lies still carry out to this day. It's disgusting when schools claim they are against bullying but doesn't actually take action when a student is in trouble. Anyone should be fired for having no remorse over provoking someone to have a mental illness or relapse in this case. This school not only doesn't care about it's students, but it's just going downhill period. It used to be known for it's nursing program, but there have been nursing students complaining about how much the curriculum has changed. It's probably only worth going here if you're seeking a general education degree only to transfer and save money.

With being open for only 4 hours just isn't enough time. I will be going with another friend on Saturday to pick another project as a gift... I won't finish todays project until I go back with my one girlfriend. I seem to like to pick ceramics that you can put a tea light candle in, so it gives it an extra effect. The kids can take out the toys, but there aren't many options for the small black top yard. The lack of kitchen is another thing. All the food is microwaved and there are no fresh meals except peanut butter sandwiches sometimes. The staff are rude to the children and talk bad about them constantly in front of other children. Some of them play favorites and it shows. Some of the staff are also lazy. Miss Martha would leave an autistic child strapped into a high chair for hours on end just so she didn't have to keep him out of trouble. She would leave him in a soiled diaper all day long, not changing it unless absolutely needed. Then would also send him back to the toddler room so she didn't have to watch him. The toddler room teacher let this boy roam free and just kept an extra close eye on him, which he needed. Another one of the teachers would complete her school work while she was supposed to be monitoring the children. They constantly over ratio the students and the lack of toys and books is disgusting. The toys are kept out of reach of the children and they are not allowed to play with them unless the teacher says. They only have a slim selection of toys as the owner does not want to keep buying them after the kids break them, a typical expense of running a daycare. The books are nonexistent for the same reason. If a child's play breaks anything, she doesn't replace it and leaves no resources for the kids to engage with, constantly getting them in trouble with the teachers for misbehaving due to boredom. And don't even get me started on the lack of care. I witnessed illegal issues and brough it up to the owner only to be ignored after providing the documentation requested. The owner's sister is a joke. She only cooks and never helps with the kids properly. When she does, she's short and rude. Her daughter is also a huge bully to the other students and she tantrums when they don't what she wants to do. The teachers were instructed not to make copies of resources to teach the children. We were told to only print when needed but were expected to keep the children educated and entertained with no resources, educational videos, or worksheets/activities. Some of the staff were very friendly and loved the children like their own, Azra, Pashtoon, and Badriya in particular, but the rest of the staff were short, rude, and cared for only the money.
