I couldn't disagree more! Mathew & Fields has always been a "top notch" business. Yes, you sometimes have to put up with a few "quirks" when dealing with a small, hometown business. Several years ago I was remodeling my front entryway and needed some 8' MDF trim cut to 6'. I remember the gentleman described by Harry G. A little rough around the edges? Yes, but overall a good guy. Complaining because the guy is black and "scared" poor ole' Harry? Give me a break. Thank God we still have lumber yards like Mathew and Fields. The big box stores have put so many of these "little guys" out of business.

When it was delivered, it was a 32" door. When he called about it, he was told that they would order us a 30" door for half price delivered. BUT...no take backs and no credit for their mistake. Take your chances...make sure they get your order right or you will eat it! Oh, and then I called and left Mr. Matthews a message but no return call.

They didn't bother to plumb the trusses when installed, and all of the purlins are crooked so all of the fastener lines are crooked and look like garbage and they won't fix them. Brian delayed multiple times the start date of the Barn after almost one year of delays I decided to write a letter to Art Santelli the owner. I got a reply from Marc Santelli claiming he is the president of the Company. Via email he decided to alter the original contract and made a large price increase and removed all the interior work that was to be done in the Pole barn per the original contract . He would only build my Pole barn if I signed his new revised contract with the large price increase and the original interior work eliminated. That is a Breach of Contract, so I filed A complaint with Better Contractors Bureau. BCB was able to get my deposit returned to me. For any business to do what they did to me speaks volumes of the type of people you are dealing with. Stay clear of this Company they are bad news.

Also the hours are a lot different than those mass retailer stores as well. But you have to remember that you are in the heart of a tiny town called Naples. So, this is what you get. There is a bright red sign that says, "Welcome to your neighborhood do it yourself center". I stood there for a bit until a man behind the counter asked if I needed help. I declined as I was snapping photos and then off to join my father-in-law pick out some nails for some flooring. A nice woman there let us open the package and test them in a transition strip to make sure they were the right size. I thought that was a nice personal touch and overall great customer service. They have a private parking lot, but you have to be careful pulling out. Traffic coming from the left can often move fast. Also, this place is next store to Joseph's Wayside Market so on weekend I suspect a lot of their customer park here.

Everyone, from Kurt, the Manager , to Morgan the delivery person, aim to please. I've struggled with coordinating the delivery times with folks from the Big Box stores but never at Wilcox. I ask them to deliver at a certain time and place and the material is always on site as requested. Kurt has been very helpful with pricing and the quality of the materials is excellent. I believe in supporting the local business establishments and sometimes that means paying a little more. But not with Wilcox, the pricing is very competitive and the service is superior, Tom Curtin

Bargain outlet is exactly that. A lot of items are cheaper, but, their might not be an abundance…read moreof them. Seems like they are "buy-out" items (similar to that of Ollies etc, but on a Home Depot/Lowes kinda level). It does have that "home improvement" store feel... you know... concrete floors, high ceilings, and very cold etc. I would defiantly look at their kitchen cabinet handles, door handles and locks, as well as sink and toilet fixtures etc. They all seemed like decent prices with a decent quality. I cannot comment on how their kitchen remodeling department really flows. But, it looked well organized.
