Bovio Rubino Service - Detailed planning for all our jobs, so that they're done correctly

Bovio Rubino Service

I called Bovio to help my in-laws fix a old P-trap plumbing that used old copper pipe with a…read moresleeve. The first visit was to assess the problem and the return visit by Tom fix the problem right away. This was not a easy job since he had to cut into the dry wall working under and Inside the small single sink cabinet. Bovio will text you ahead prior to the appointment with photo of the technician who will show up at your door on time. Very professional service and highly recommended to call them for help to fix any of your HVAC and plumbing problem. By the way, your can get $30 by allowing them to put a lawn sign at your house.

This project cost over $15,000! We have a water/mold issue with our bathroom ceiling and since this is a health and safety matter, I expected that the company would send someone out to verify that this issue is not being caused from their previous work. I was told someone would come out after their A/C emergency calls were finished. When nobody called to schedule, I called back two days later and was told they would not send anyone out. They told me they no longer work on bathroom ventilation and gave me the name of another company that could come out to look. I left a voicemail with Angela Rubino Hines, the president of the company, and still have not heard back from her after several days. I never leave reviews but felt it was important to warn others about how they treat their clients. I have been in the Gold Maintenance plan with their company for years, and this is how they treat a serious health and safety issue. I'd hate to see how they treat their regular or potential customers. From their own website: "Our talented team of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home performance professionals takes our company to the next level by providing the highest level of workmanship and customer service possible." This does not match up with their current actions. I will update this review if I ever hear back from Angela Rubino Hines or this company.

After doing a lot of research, we upgraded to a Tyent water ionizer and we couldn't be happier. I initially purchased a Tyent because I wasn't feeling as energized as I used to be, and I suffered from inflammation as well. Plus, I had really bad eczema. After using Tyent, I have a lot more energy and my inflammation has gone away. The biggest thing that surprised me was that my eczema has totally cleared up too. I suffered from it for years, and I'm still shocked at how clear and soft my skin is now. It's unbelievable! The Tyent filters are the best, and they filter out everything from my tap water - including 100% of lead and chlorine. My wife and I both love how the Tyent water ionizer looks in our kitchen now! It's easy to use, and plus it can be personalized to our specific type of tap water. I also like that Tyent has numerous options with the levels from acid to alkaline. You can clean your vegetables and fruits from the dangerous chemicals and pesticides for a healthier life. Tyent's customer service is the best. Do you want to live a healthier life? Dom L.

After getting the right ones I hired a plumber to hook it up, and he found a defective solenoid. After the replacement was installed it worked for about two weeks then began beeping all the time, randomly choosing settings and dispensing water on its own. The control panel no longer responds. I'm going to have to fix it myself.

Ken Morton & Sons - New roof, so happy!

Ken Morton & Sons

Had some water spots and streaks appear out of nowhere in my 2nd-floor ceiling. Called Emmons and…read moreanother local roofing company, Ken Morton & Sons. Josh from Emmons came out while I was away and told my wife that he found the leak. He also said that our dimensional shingle roof was not installed properly 18 years ago when the house was built, which was why the roof was leaking, and that a new roof would cost $4K. Upon returning from my business trip, I called Josh and asked him to come back out, which he did. I asked him to explain how the roof wasn't initially installed correctly and he went on to say that because they didn't cut any of the shingles, the edges of the shingles were causing a channel every other row for water to flow. He continued, stating that Emmons starts the first row with a full shingle, the second with a 2/3 shingle and the third with a 1/3 shingle and repeat that pattern. If this is the case, then they'd be creating more channels for water to flow, but I digress. What a bunch of BS. Then Josh said it would cost $4K to replace only the front slope of the roof over the main structure - not the main structure's rear slope or both slopes over the garage. I asked why he would suggest replacing only a portion of the roof when it was not properly installed in the first place and also questioned what the aesthetics would look like. He (amazingly) agreed and said he would measure/remeasure all roofing surfaces and provide another price, which came to $16K. BTW, while on the roof he was stomping around like an elephant because I could easily hear him from the first floor. Was he trying to damage it? Ken Morton & Sons also came out while I was away. They inspected the attic but couldn't find a leak. What they did find was flexible ductwork that appeared to be leaking condensation, so they told my wife they quickly repositioned and adjusted it to stop the leak. However, I was not convinced that that was the cause after speaking with Josh at Emmons so I asked Ken to come out and inspect my roof from above. One of his guys came out, inspected the roof and said there was no indication of any leaking. Ken called me afterwards and said that he'd love to replace my roof but the ductwork was the cause of my ceiling stains - not the roof. Since then, which has been ~6 months, and after more than one gale force windy and rainy storms no additional stains have appeared in our ceiling. In summary, Josh from Emmons is the owner's daughter's boyfriend who looked and sounded like he never stepped foot on a roof before his future father-in-law give him the job. He just tried baffling me with his BS and, worse, he lied about finding a leak and tried to sell us, first, a partial roof replacement and then a full roof replacement - both of which we didn't need. Josh just wanted to make a sale. He obviously thinks he smarter than John Q. Public and has no interest in wanting to help people. Therefore, please consider Ken Morton & Sons if you have a roofing need.
