Recommended by the insurance adjuster and without any due diligence done or references checked, is…read moreit any wonder that my experience with Champion is one of frustration and disappointment? But let's start on a very positive note on what they did very well: They came out to my parent's house to remove fire and water- soaked drywall, carpet, etc after a small fire in the living room. The setup fans, and an air scrubber which helped with the smell and certainly helped dry things out. That was on 1/3/20. The scope of work (sheetrock, painting, light electrical and plumbing and carpet) really should have taken no more than four working weeks max. There was a necessary gap for a gas insert fireplace to be installed, and the timing of that, alas, was right when Covid exploded. Fireplace was installed on 3/18. Fast forward to late May I check in with John to see if he can get a crew over to knock it out and it was just excuse after excuse: Other jobs he was working on, personnel issues, supply chain issues which frosted me because by all rights we should have been his first job once things opened up. We just weren't high on the priority list. He finally got things going again in mid-July. As for the quality of the workmanship, I'd say use them for their cleaning and smoke remediation services and take a pass if there is ANY construction that has to be done--take a look at the attached pictures. Sloppy hack work cutting outlet openings in the drywall (had to go and buy oversize plates to cover the gaps). The upstairs room was painted well, but paint oozed down between some crack and dripped down over the dark wood in the living room. Two of the electrical outlets they installed did not work--they never even tested them...no covers also on those and light switches. Asked John to ask his guy where they might be and was ghosted. Electrician came out and $500 later we're back in business. They did plumbing work also and I hate to think how that will hold up. I asked John and gave him the old mantle above to fireplace and asked for him to replicate it. He said he could do that, but then his man just gets some cheap ass molding from Home Depot at does his own thing! Yeah, it's functional, but it just looks like hack work. And lastly the carpet: John subbed this out and the guys who did the work were not anywhere near the professional level of John's guys. Discussions of a friend getting out on parole was one snippet of conversation I caught--not cool. There were spots of glue they left on the carpet that I had to clean up and they had no vacuum to clean up the mess when they were done--really? It's just all so disappointing. If you do choose to hire these guys you need to be there 100% of the time and be prepared to say NO when the corners start getting cut. I was a fool and extended an enormous amount of trust--never again.

Rainy day tracked all kinds of debris as they were in and out. Needed several fans in attic to dry it out. After several days one guy came back to get the fans but needed help. Should have had help. My insurance company set me up with Sure Kleen but then ended up paying me out so I could hire anyone I wanted. They came out in October to give me an estimate and I had to keep rescheduling them for months until the plumbing was resolved. I got two other quotes that were both over double what Sure Kleen quoted. Every time I called to reschedule they got me in within 48 hours. They were finally able to complete the job in January. I was expecting to pay more because there was more water coming in every day and there was definitely more damage than when they originally came in. From Mandy in the office to Vince in scheduling to AJ doing the actual job and Elijah picking up the equipment and doing the final readings, I have had the most exceptional service. The job ended up taking two days and they were just perfect in every way. I will use them again when I'm ready to get my drywall and floors replaced without a thought. This whole plumbing issue has been such a nightmare but Sure Kleen was the only bright spot. Cannot recommend enough!

So our house burned down November 29, 2020 and our house was a total loss. We went with ARG and…read moreeverything was good in the beginning. You lose your entire house and you are so distraught when you see your home being destroyed right in front of you and all you can do is sit there in shock and realize you are now homeless and left with only the clothes you have on your back. So here comes everyone out of the woodwork to help you in your time of need and your mind is in a million directions because you just watched what took you a life time to build is now gone in a matter of hours. Who do you trust to rebuild your home? ARG!! Again in the beginning the were Great! They boarded up our house, cleaned up the yard and made you feel like everything will be ok. So you feel somewhat better. So now the process begins and remember it is 2020 so there were obviously the pandemic issues and I had solar panels that I leased (not ARG's fault). So solar panels finally off and work begins. House is cleaned out, sprayed, electrical, plumbing, windows, roof all good. Took time to get that all done and then the siding gets started. My neighbor informs me that there is cops and an ambulance outside my house and we go rushing over there to see what happened. Someone got hurt on the job. No come to find out that the guy putting up the siding get Narcaned outside my house and mind you we are there when the guy comes back for his truck. Tells us himself that he got Narcaned by the cops and was forced to go to the hospital. His side of the story. Don't know if it true or not, but told us he fell asleep and he was awakened by the cops shoving Narcan up his nose. HMMMMMM!!! Anyway he assured us he would be back the next day to finish the siding. Tomorrow comes and no one is there to finish. A week goes by nothing and another week and nothing and another. So finally if have to call ARG to see what's up and no one was aware of what happened. No one knew until I informed them of what happened. So this is where is really starts to fall apart with ARG because my house was half sided for weeks and the contractor's they hired were barley were at my house to do the work. This is sometime in June, July and we were told our house would be completed September 30, 2020. Now I know that things go bump in the night and I know that there will be hiccups along the way so September sounded fabulous, but I know that it could have been longer. Anyway back to the siding of our house issue. So weeks go by and I still have half new siding and the top half of the house still with old siding just flapping in the wind looking like crap. I finally had to call ARG to find out what is going on and why no one is working at my house at all. They get a new siding guy to finish the work and now I have 2 different size capping on my windows. I have OCD so now I am happy that my house doesn't look like crap anymore, but now I have to look at the 2 different size caps. Now insulation goes in and here comes the inspection issues. We or they told us that there was no need for a framing inspection, but Yes a framing inspection was needed so the insulation gets taken down and now we are at the mercy of the township and the inspector because again the PANDEMIC and he is the only inspector for the township. So weeks and weeks go by and because we have no walls there is nothing the contractors can do at this point. Finally framing inspection passes and the insulation goes back in. Now wait for another insulation inspection. And guess what insulation inspection fails because of some stupid wording on the applications that requires R15 insulation and not the R13 that the inspector knew and knew it was going to fail. So my house gets insulated 3 times. 3 times a charm I guess. I'm putting this in here because these are things to be mindful of. I AM NOW AN EXPERT....LOL. So now we are into maybe August and no walls now. September and still now walls. Don't know why, but NOT moving home in September. Okay I can still deal with it. Needless to say anything that ARG communicated with us via email, text and phone calls did not happen in the timely manner they said it would and was a lot of excuses or no answers. I haven't even gotten started on the alcoholic electrician that left his little red stag bottles in our ceiling and was busted drinking on the job and never came back to finish the job. Every light switch is uneven and not to mention that I have more light switches then I need. Again I have OCD so now I have to look and every crooked uneven socket in my house. At this point I am losing all faith in ARG and don't believe a word they tell us anymore. I just want to move back home. November Thanksgiving weekend and the dry wallers are there all weekend to put up the walls. YAY!!! Almost a year to the day I finally got walls. Great so now the real progress begins......NOPE!!! Needless to say our house is still not finished and we would have to pay out of pocket to finish.

After returning home from my doctors appointment, I was faced with a sump pump overflow backup…read morefailure. Upon calling 3 businesses I decided on ARG.
