For starters, the 2 of them spent the entire first hour in my kitchen, which is incredibly small. As a result, it felt like they rushed through the rest of my apartment. When they left I looked, and at a glance it looks like they did great work. However it soon became apparent that they didn't move the furniture when cleaning the floors, dusted around things, and really just kind of half-assed it. It was nice to have someone else do the cleaning, but I thought I was getting a my place professionally cleaned. I'm not thrilled to have paid for a job that I could have easily done myself.

So my wife said she wanted to try someone local and contacted Tom from Restore Cleaning Solutions. From the minute she called Tom she knew she was in for amazing customer service. He was so attentive on the phone, and was actually able to come out within a few days to get the job done. When Tom arrived he explained exactly what procedure he was going to take. He then proceeded to do an incredible job. The carpets looked amazing when he was done, I never thought they could look that good again. My wife also was having issues with iron stains in our shower. She asked Tom if he had any tips for how to clean that, because she was never able to get rid of the heavy stain. Tom stopped everything he was doing, went and got a product out of his truck and then showed my wife how to use it. Next thing you know, a shower that had been stained for years was sparkling clean. Tom didn't even charge for that extra request, and seemed more than happy to help. When Tom was done, he left the house immaculate! My wife and I have dealt with a lot of contractors over the years, some good some bad. Tom falls into the rare category of A++ when it comes to dealing with a contractor that owns his business. He truly cares and seems to really enjoy what he does. In addition to all the other positives, Tom's rates are very reasonable. We booked with them to clean on a Saturday afternoon and explained to Jason Alexander that we had booked a uhaul to move later that day so we would need a team of people, not just one person. He reassured us that for the $240 deep clean it would be 3 people and since our house was empty it shouldn't take long. Since we were moving from Philly to NJ I asked if I could leave the door unlocked since the house was empty and we were moving that day with a small child. He said no I needed to be there to do a walk through the house with the cleaning team. I arranged for a sitter for my son as noon is is nap time and headed to NJ to let the cleaners in. To my surprise they were a no show. I waited about 20 min then called Jason Alexander who sounded like he just woke up from a nap. I explained I had driven to NJ to let the cleaners in and he said something along the lines of oh, yeah my bad, they called out. I immediately started panicking as the house was dirty and we needed it cleaned as we were moving in that day, which he knew. He was very nonchalant about people not wanting to work and it's hard running a business when people don't want to work. Well that doesn't explain why he didn't call me so I could make arrangements with proper notice about people calling out. I shouldn't have to call him after our scheduled appointment that he already took a deposit for $160.00, to have him tell me then. Not to mention his tune completely changed from over eager and singing praises about his cleaning company when we booked, to "the best he can do is rebook us or give us $15 off. Which is ironic bc his website charges $50.00 if you are late for your appointment and you have to reschedule. I had to literally beg him over the phone to find someone to clean our house because all of our furniture was getting moved in later that day. He kept saying how times are hard, people don't want to work, it's hard to run a business, it was a joke. And our backs were against the wall as he had our deposit already and it was now way past our appointment time with no one to clean our house. He finally found ONE person. Who they did a great job, that is why he is getting one star. She did 5 star work however, we were moving in while she was there as it was one person not a team of cleaners like he promised. So wet floors were being walked on as furniture was being moved into the house. She was cleaning while we were moving stuff in because that's the only choice we had. I wish I never went with this company. Or that they had the common decency to make me aware of the fact his team called out. AVOiD AT ALL COSTS!!!

Eric was able to get right out and get the job done. Pet stains......CLEANED. Since he was coming out I also decided to get some large remnants cleaned in my basement. Let me tell you, they were dirty and stained and now they are looking great. I discovered Eric about 2 years ago as a result of an emergency situation and a Groupon, and I'm so happy I did. Not only has he done a fantastic job for me and my family, but he is a very nice person as well. The cleaning of our living room and stairway carpets did not get off to a good start. They were…read moresupposed to arrive between 10 & 12. After we moved all of the furniture out of the rooms, took the dogs to get groomed, and had plans for the kids to be out of the house in the morning we got a call stating they would not be there until 1:00. Messed up our plans for the day, but our carpets needed to be cleaned. The owner, Eric, showed up and pointed out the dark area of the carpet which we thought was dirt but he said was wear. After the cleaning the area still looked dirty, but the owner insisted that it was dark because it was worn, not dirt. We took a clean paper towel to the area after Eric left, and it went from white to brown with a few wipes of the "worn" area. We then brought out the towels to scrub a little deeper, and quickly went through 15+ towels getting the area much cleaner. All we used was the wetness of the chemicals that Eric originally cleaned the carpet, no additional products on our end. Being really disappointed with the results of Eric's cleaning I took pictures and texted him the images of the dirty towels asking him to call me back. I did receive a call back. I was debating whether to write this Yelp review before the call. The conversation definitely made my mind up for me. He mentioned that the Amazon Local voucher that we used was for a surface cleaning only. At no time during his arrival and setup was this mentioned, and certainly not when we were talking about the dirty area he called worn. On our call he mentioned that any additional deep cleaning would be an extra cost. All Eric had to say was that if we want the "worn" area clean, he could do a deep clean and it would cost X dollars. So he decided to lie to us and call the area worn verses doing the right thing Most people do not like to be up-sold, but where it is a legitimate need most people will see the value. We were never given that option. When I mentioned that to him he told me that he was tired of being told no the to deep cleaning that he stopped asking. This is the owner of the business who has the most to gain from getting people to purchase additional services from him. Having to deal with his lateness (at least he called), the lie on the carpet condition, lack of desire to tell me options, and zero customer service skills to make up for his lie, I would not recommend this business to anyone. He was extremely apathetic on the call. We made the mistake of changing from our original carpet cleaners trying to save some bucks. In the end we will pay more to get the job done right 3/12/13 Yelp pulled the pictures of my experience because they are looking for pictures OF the business not their work. OMG!!!! My girlfriend told me to call this company! He picked up himself, I told him what I needed...the next DAY...and they showed up and he brought an army with him! My apartment needed more than I thought and they did everything! In two hours it was ready for new tenants to move in! Spotless! I mean sparkling, glitter crazy clean! I cried!!!
