I paid with a Visa debit card, a commonly used form of payment. Conclusion: This is a service that provides a good service. After emailing back and forth with the owner/manager (?) regarding the "surcharge" I was left with an uneasy feeling that there was just something not trustworthy about this business. We placed on offer on one of his homes (that had/has been on the market for 400 and counting days) for a couple thousand below his asking price, with a few contingencies. To add all the plumbing fixtures, fix a few odds and ends things around the home that are incomplete, and pave the driveway come spring. We also added in the contract that we wanted appliances added. HE SIGNED AND ACCEPTED MY OFFER. Im assuming he, after signing and sending the contract back to me, must have decided he didnt like my offer. He then insisted to set up a meeting with myself, my realtor and him to discuss "things". My realtor and I had honestly no idea what he was wanting to discuss in person that couldnt be handled over the phone, but fine, whatever. Upon walking into the meeting it was very clear he was just doing this to threaten me. HE, HIMSELF, simply didnt read the contract HE SIGNED and was throwing a temper tantrum that he agreed to my terms. He tried to blame his listing agent for "not highlighting that" (regarding appliances) in the contract. After i brought it up, his gentleman charm went out the window and we soon saw the nasty con artist for what he was. He simply got nasty and said "I DONT DO APPLIANCES SO THEN IF THATS A DEAL BREAKER THEN SO BE IT" I saw how quick his mean switch went off about the topic so i just said "okay well i will think about it" and left it as is for the duration of the meeting. Our plan was to take legal action towards him and just to let him have his way about the appliances. After about a week I then, as anticipated, I recieved a Cancellation Letter from him with ZERO explanation as to why he canceled on me. I chose to sign it and send it back and save my money, headache, time and legal fees that were about to come his way. If you like being conned and threatened and like working with a man who is quick to disregard a written and signed contract, then hes your man! You wont catch me giving that con artist my money!
