The Event I attended was wonderful...HOWEVER..we had our Sister-in-law with me who is in a wheel chair...to gain access to the building the ramp is around back coming in through the Kitchen..not the most flatering way to enter the building...But I was even more shocked to discover that once we got inside the building there was no elevator,chair lift ...nothing to get my sister-in-law to the 2nd floor where the event we were attending was going on...so we had to carry my sister-in-law up the flight of stairs to the event we were attending...Galloping Hill has been here since I have been a kid and has been remodled at least once...How do they not have an elevator or Chair lift for wheel chair bound or even elderly people he have difficulty handling stairs...This is CRAZY !!!!!!! read more

It's disappointing to see this on television. As a citizen, seeing this doesn't make me feel safe that business owners are not going above and beyond to wear a proper face mask. As shown on SPECTRUM NEWS1, this business owner Mary Perez is shown serving food onto plates/ to-go plates in her restaurant kitchen. As a restaurant business owner why would you think that type of face covering will keep from her breathing and her breathe not traveling downward onto the food. I guess our breathe only traveling forward? I would not eat at that restaurant seeing that. In this circumstance if she had COVID-19, it's possible she has contaminated the food. You even see a member of her staff speaking to the camera with his mask below his nose. How are people supposed to feel safe that, temperatures are being taken at that restaurant before starting their job, that they wear their masks & gloves are being worn while working? I bought a domain through this company and then I need it pointed to the company that I'm going to use, to build the website but as all these other people have said through their reviews Squarespace will not participate in taking business away from them they only want people to buy domain and then build a website with them, if you try to build a website with somebody else they willf*** withyou reallyhard...... unfortunately, so I bought the domain name and I asked him over and over again for the information that I need to have it hooked up to the company that I would be using all they did is send me information that did not work, I have emailed them more than 25 times over a 3-week period and cannot get this resolved this company is a full-on "scam" as are many out there when companies decide to throw away customer service then the customers are left spinning around scrambling looking for ways to get issues resolved, Squarespace wants to deal with everything through emails they might email you every 3 or 4 days they might email you once a week so if you've already bought a domain from them then you're stuck because they will definitely screw with you, I wish there was a website out there where we could go and truly give our Realreviews because leaving it here is not the best place because most people would think that a website company is not going to be onYelp..... so anyway I bought the domain and I can't use it and I'm afraid that they're going to do what they've done to other people where they take the domain name that was purchased and stab the person in the back by changing the name around and then giving it to him and saying here's your domain even though that is not the name that they ordered that they paid for I'm afraid that they're going to do that to me..... Squarespace is currently advertising a Basic Personal Website option: billing at $8/month annually. I have screenshots if needed- from squarespace.com/pricing I paid a web designer and she went in and designed a lovely site for a our company. When I went to upgrade out of the free trail to push the site LIVE to the web, I was prompted for a completely different price of $12/month annually. I immediately started a LIVE CHAT with customer service (Michelle) trying to resolve the issue but unfortunately each representative that I have spoken with has refused to honor their CURRENTLY ADVERTISED PRICE! I am being told that the pricing which is ADVERTISED is "a limited test run that's randomly generated depending on when you click the link." (So the price of $8/month which has been posted for at least a month is randomly generated on a website to lure in customers?) Their form of a resolution is to offer me 10% off of my first year. That is unacceptable to me! I reached back out to SquareSpace a second time, reemphasizing the fact that I have already paid a web designer for her work and it's not fair that due to false advertising, I am now at a financial loss. It's not like I can move the design to a different platform/host. The response that I received from Morgan was: "I completely understand your disappointment about the pricing. Unfortunately, given how this limited price test is being conducted, we are unable to make any changes to billing plans into the test. As Michelle said, the link is randomly generated. I sincerely apologize if we set any incorrect expectations for pricing. On a positive note, in the future if we decide to change the default rate for any plan, it will be available to all customers." This is absurd and I don't understand how this is even legal. If a price is advertised, it should be honored. I also find it hard to believe that a TECH company can't manually adjust a price to match what they are advertising. read more

I'm a victim of a fraudulent credit card charge by Squarespace years after cancelling my account and I regret ever working with this company. It has been four years since I canceled my account and I just had to report them for fraudulently charging my credit card, which means they are retaining financial information for years. I tried to contact Squarespace and guess what, their phone messaging system says to contact them via the web. I did that first and without an active account you can't talk to anyone. Sure I reported them for fraud, and I won't have to pay for it, but that means my CC had to be locked, and now I'm waiting for a replacement while traveling, plus will have to spend hours to update a bunch of autopay accounts. read more

Then I've been billed over $100 3x in the past 2 years. I've spoken to customer service, I've sent email, they tell me they fixed the problem, then unexpectedly and shockingly I see my account charged repeatedly. Know what a domain is? How about a website subscription? If you are canceling your Squarespace subscription take the time to understand the difference. Squarespace markets itself as a user-friendly option to people with little website development and design knowledge. I count myself in that group. I canceled what I thought was my membership because I didn't use my website. After navigating the overly complicated Squarespace help section, I noticed I could cancel my recurring website subscription without incurring a future fee. I assumed by canceling this subscription it would cancel everything? Wrong! You have to also turn off your recurring billing to your domain, and now I'm a proud owner of a $20 domain I still have no clue (or interest) in learning what is. I find this infuriating and completely annoying given their mass marketing strategy. read more

Poor customer support for the layman. A work colleague has a company blog hosted on Squarespace. She recommended it to me for other company blogs we have planned in the fall. I thought I would give it a test run by setting up two personal sites. Glad I did because I had a technical issue on my second site. I volleyed between Squarespace and their partner G-suite and still my issue is not resolved. Admittedly if I was technically savvy I probably could figure out the problem on my own - but I am not. That's why I reached out to their customer support. They provide support pages and a Live Chat option. After weaving through a maze of support questions, I found the Live Chat link. But they were not able to resolve my issue. They said they would get back to me via email and sure enough, they offered a link to another support page. So frustrating. Currently researching other hosting companies to manage my websites. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know! read more

This company is horrendous. Yeah their templates, although looking like they were developed in 1995, are passable. There are some nice features but at what cost? Their support is horrible. I called and was promised a call or email back and NOTHING. I had to pester them to get an answer. Finally got an email back but they fail to address the issue. I pay for their service and yet cannot get into my account (yes my fault, for some reason I can't remember or find my login credentials on any of my computers or in any of my inboxes, for some reason my auto-fill that worked for months doesn't work...) Long story short, I went through all the "tools" they have for account recovery and nothing. Now they want a picture of my license, digits off of credit cards, and copies of bank statements to help me get back into my account. The people are very nice, but the system has a serious flaw. I signed up a year and a half ago. I created an Advertising portfolio. All good. Not the most intuitive system, but you learn it after a time. But over 3 months ago the audio blocks stopped working. That meant all my Radio work and VO samples wouldn't function. I got numerous emails about how their engineers were 'on it', but after 3 months it hasn't been fixed, and I don't think it ever will be. I doubt there are any 'engineers' working on it at all. It's amazing to me that a company this successful can't figure out such a simple thing as audio, and something that worked fine for a year and then suddenly stopped working. I was a big fan of SquareSpace. Not one now. Doing a workaround because I just don't have the time to change hosts right now, but looking for a better site that actually works down the road. Too bad. UPDATE: The site seems to have finally been fixed, for now, so I bumped my rating a star. Here's hoping it doesn't have another technical glitch. read more

I agree with most of the negative reviews about squarespace. My web designer chose this company to create an updated website for me. I have been using go daddy. Unfortunately my designer and good friend passed away last year. He had been financing the billing and when it was completed the billing would transfer to me. I reached out to squarespace over a week ago and their customer service, or lack of is by email/twitter only. So in only having a few questions for them and the mind numbing experience of back and forth emails well over a week, I will have to allow all the work he and I did to date to just sink into the abyss. I would email them and have to go back and forth 3-4 times to get the rep to know what I was talking about because you get a new rep with each email. I have used SquareSpace, initially for my blog, for over five years. It took a while to get used to the website builder, but once you get the hang of it you are able to customize a streamline, attractive site for a reasonable price. Whenever I have a question on how to do something I check out their help section to get my issues resolved without much fanfare. I love the built in website analysis, search engine optimization, and easy to use web site hosting functions. Oh and did I mention they now have e-store capabilities. I recommend them to anyone in need of an attractive, DIY website. read more

Squarespace is a very difficult site builder for the average person. They advertise and state through out the building site, after you bought the product, that they have 24/7 customer service, which is false and misleading. What they do have is FAQ's and answers 24/7. They have tutorials and video that play too fast for the average person and 98% of the time, they are not helpful and not the answer to the problem you were searching. However, they always say, "Let us know if you have any further questions, we are here to help." No live person, no customer service, no help, no phone number, no suggestion box, no refunds, only a fee trial offer, then you are stuck. I had to hire an out side source to implement code, tags, and Google. My overall rating for this company is poor. read more

I bought a domain from squarespace because they advertised on several podcasts I listen to. Soon after that, I discovered they don't have a phone number for tech support. I signed up with Weebly because they do have a phone number, and extremely short hold times as well. I emailed squarespace to get my domain re-directed to Weebly (I had to email as the chat feature is no longer available, even during times they claim it to be available). They refused to re-direct my domain and provided me a web page for information on how I can do it myself. The problem is, this didn't help me at all. I'm not a tech wiz. It is very complicated and didn't make any sense. I emailed them telling them this, and they emailed me back with more information that was extremely confusing. Something that should be as easy as me calling and them pushing a button, has turned into 3 days of frustration with no end in sight. After this nightmare is over I'll never use them again, but hopefully for their and their future customer's sake they'll add phone support, as their competitors such as wix and weebly do. read more
