Yelp Review for Squarespace: I'm not even mad. I'm impressed. How does a website builder just... vaporize an entire gallery section without me touching a single button? One day my website (www.jennifereckhart.com) was a glorious black-and-white wall of fame featuring photos with nearly every business legend who matters. The next? Poof. Gone. Like it personally offended the algorithm. Gone was the legendary black-and-white shot with the PF Chang's CEO (yes, the crispy honey chicken and lettuce wraps guy). That man once handed me a gift card in person -- I swear. How many people can say they got a gift card directly from the CEO of one of America's finest dining establishments? Meanwhile, I can't even get a reply from the CEO of Jaguar Land Rover North America after my 2018 Range Rover Sport (VIN SALWR2RE4JA805725) was illegally cloned during what was supposed to be service for a coolant leak repair. Deloris is probably on cinder blocks right now with Cedric. Talk about customer service disparities. I was also threatened with a third-degree felony for a forged, unauthorized rental that was sent to me by Datura Auto Cars and Sales at the direction of Land Rover Palm Beach. But that's a different Yelp review. Right now, I need to focus my attention on Squarespace, the website builder. Also vanished: my photo with the Winklevoss twins. It's actually hilarious comparing the PF Chang's CEO to the Winklevii -- one gave me free food credit, the other... well, they're the Winklevii. My car got swapped, but my gallery was stacked. President Donald J. Trump, Elon Musk (who changed my entire life trajectory with a signed 'Ad Astra' photo for my brother James), Senator Ted Cruz, Henry Kissinger, Ray-J, U.S. Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, the U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth (we grabbed coffee at Fox News), Florida Governor Rick Scott (the Terminator himself), Trace Adkins (ladies love country boys), Deirks Bentley, John Krafchik who invented Waymo, Ray-J (interviewed him at CES about his Scoot-E-Bike), Randy Zuckerberg, Billy Corgan (Grammy winner. We went antique shopping together at the Hillsboro Antique Mall). These aren't just photos -- they're my heroes, friends and reminders of an absolutely wild career at the highest level of media. And now, I have to manually re-upload every single one. One. By. One. After dealing with a cloned luxury SUV that left me stranded and barricaded inside of my home with zero mode of transportation, and an AI-generated rejection letter from SpaceX (I applied, tweeted Elon, crickets -- moved on). Now this? The universe has been throwing some serious shade lately, but I'm over here laughing because what else can you do? I then applied to Meta for their Media Strategy Manager, Reality Labs, Wearables + Metaverse role. Fingers crossed. Tim Cook is so cool. So, I also applied to be the Head of Communications for Apple in Tokyo, Japan. Again, fingers crossed. Mark Zuckerberg is cool, but not Tim Cook cool. War Eagle. Elon Musk is reinventing space travel. And Billy Corgan won a single Grammy. Do you understand? These legends were featured with me in photographic evidence on my website (www.jennifereckhart.com) until Squarespace decided my gallery should just spontaneously self-destruct. I hear GoDaddy is supposedly way better. Considering the switch because this level of spontaneous photo deletion is sus. How Squarespace deletes my photos with Ray-J and Henry Kissinger is beyond my level of comprehension. Consumers deserve better in website creation. I recently purchased a website solution from squarespace. However when I checked out I had difficulty with their site taking my promo code. Once I completed my transaction I immediately sent an email requesting that it be honored with the promo code identified. Three days later I got an email from a representative requesting that I take a picture of the code advertised and send it to them. This was ridiculous. This company should know full well what promo code exist and those that dont. So they had me do more work as a new customer. After doing so I got no reply. I then sent another email on day 3 or 4 of purchasing my site and they said the code no longer exist and because of that they cannot honor it. This is absolutely appalling. What kind of business ethics and tactics is going mad in this company? So I am no reap the reckless management of how this company responds to its clients email inquiries? Not to mention SQUARESPACE offers no customer service by phone but yet showcases 24/7 responses. This is not true in my case. I even have a written apology in the first email apologizing for the late response. This is subpar and I am not not a happy customer. This is also a REALLY BAD start to doing business. As a result I will be ending my services with this company. If I am going through these experiences as a new customer starting off I can only imagine what fun awaits later on. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this will be the exception. I have always loved this location, but the two young girls that work the front are very rude and unfriendly!! The only greeting I received was a blank stare and sour facial expression. As a customer was leaving one of the young ladies made the statement " oh that was a hater" and they both laughed and had very smug attitudes. We have been dining at D and J for many years since its beginning. Restaurants come and go with frequency. First Dominique and now Stephan have maintained a high quality restaurant where the price matches what one receives. The food is carefully prepared, the service excellent, the noise level reasonable, and the menu predictable but always interesting. New choices never fail to keep us coming back. Visited the Buffalo Main St location today and got the Chipotle Chicken nachos. Each bite was a burst of flavor. I've visited Skillet Junction many times since you've opened. Never have I experienced the LACK of customer service experienced with my group of 6 on Saturday, 27 Dec 25. The wait was 40 minutes....BUT WE waited over an hour; we watched parties come and go. While the hostess, apologized...it wasn't genuine and the servers basically didn't care. I get holiday season and perhaps an increase in people coming out, but customer service matters, but on this day....it was truly lacking. I hope it was an anomaly and will never happen again. I am the treasurer of a nonprofit. I set up a square space account. Recently, I was trying to run a Square report of our revenue. The Square space website showed zero revenue, even though there were deposits from Square showing in my bank account. I was on the phone with Square's help line for over two hours and was disconnected multiple times by them They could not explain why with the number showing up on my bank account. They could not trace back to what square space account this was coming from as they agreed the account for the nonprofit that I had set up, show zero revenue With the codes on the bank statement showing the Square deposit they should be able to back into the account. But when their automated system screws up and takes your site offline for no reason without any warning, right in the middle of a campaign where you've spent hundreds or thousands of dollars to drive traffic to it, SQUARESPACE CAN'T EVEN PROVIDE BASIC CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I'm totally flabbergasted. I've been trying to get an answer to a basic support ticket for five days now. Nothing. Not even a peep. Today I tried a live chat. I waited over an hour patiently and then fatefully stepped away from my desk for five minutes to get another coffee. When I came back, the chat person (assuming it is a person) had already decided I was terminally AFK and had logged me off but more infuriatingly, THEY BLOCKED ME FROM RE-INITIATING A NEW CHAT. Unbelievable. Not only are they incompetent apparently, negligently understaffed and overworked (being charitable), but they are actively hostile towards their customers? What??!? How do they even exist at all? I have never encountered this level of FAIL from a saas provider. Everyone else is better. Literally. Everyone. I was forced to use SquareSpace thanks to Domains.Google passing me off after some sale by Google. Next, one of my domains came up for renewal, and I paid on time, and renewed on May 1, 2024. However, while SquareSpace correctly noted that my next renewal date was now May 1, 2025, SquareSpace set the domain to "expired." After leaving it quite a while in the expectation being marked as "expired" wouldn't affect me, I eventually realized this affected my email forwards negatively, so I began to ask for help. My customer service subject title was "domain EXPIRED in the FUTURE??" Every response I got was that they were very busy, and they'd get back to me. Finally, after 3 months, I realized the only solution was to move my domains to another registrar. I expect to have better success with domainmonger, and I will save myself a headache by not returning. read more

Squarespace is holding up the transfer process by not sending the proper code to transfer their domain outside, holding my site hostage because I am not renewing with them. Cloudflare, to whom we are transferring, is a far better option for hosting than them. They are so bad that the main integrator of hosting solutions to 3rd party sites doesnt even have an integration with them, but have with over 100 other providers. They're not applying the free google workspace offer to my account even though I qualify for it, and they have not gotten back to me. I submitted a complaint with the BBB and Squarespace emailed me just to say "we'll get to you as soon as we can." Meanwhile, this is holding up my business cards, because I need the email address matter sorted out before I get those printed. They have completely left me hanging. Stopped in after we dropped our son off at the Allentown Airport. We were the first ones there on Wednesday 17 July 2024. Looked like they served (leftovers) from the day before first. Looked like they tried to mix the old mashed potatoes with brown dried edges in with the new mashed potatoes. The green beans were old, and pruney with brown spots. The broiled fish fillets had big pieces missing. (Chunks taken off some of the fillets already.) What I did eat was ok, definitely not impressed.
