I thought that it would be too much for me, but I was pleasantly surprised that the serving size was just right. It was a delicious and healthy breakfast ...yes, I am including the pancakes in that too! I recommend when visiting Old Nice to put this place as one of your breakfast choices . Bon appétit! I stumbled upon this place accidentally. A patisserie some tourist materials suggested turned out to be closed, and we found this place open on the walk back from the closed shop to our hotel and gave it a try. Our pastries were very good. The woman who worked there was friendly and very tolerant of my bumbling attempts to speak French, which I swear I spoke well (apart from a strong American accent) nine years ago after years of study but apparently forgot. They had the best pastries I had during my week and a half stay in Nice and theirs were great compared to those I had across months in Paris. This is a very good place for French pastries in Nice.

There are three tables indoors, which is where we sat, and one outside on the sidewalk.

They sell it as a mini sandwich for $3 or a large one for $5.5 You can have canned beverages or espresso coffee or bottled water The mini sandwich was good , the bread a little hard and the vinaigrette could have tolerated some more vinegar but overall flavorful and most importantly authentic. I didn't try the cookies or the pastries but they looked delicious specially the pies ( called tartes ) here What brought the rating down : the place deserves a better clean up between guests , and there are some flies ( I hate this anywhere) ; the restrooms didn't have soap; when asked , the young lady fumbled with some liquid soap containers and admitted that they had the wrong ones so no soap for the day !! I would suggest to get in , buy your pan bagnat walk to the Promenade des Anglais and enjoy it sitting on one of the chairs facing the sea.
