We go there 3 or 4 times a year and pack up our oil that we religiously bring back to London, then we feel we always have a bit of Nice in our kitchen The store is next to the Cours Saleya and the Opera of Nice, and also sells lots of other local products, typically olive oild based like tapenade or pesto and even soaps. The oilive oil is the perfect souvenir, both delicious and decorative.

The prices were reasonable. Staff was super nice & you can get a tasting of all the different olive oil flavors which was a lot of fun. Ended up picking up 4 small tins in various flavors - favorite being the black truffle. The only quibble was that the taste seemed much tastier in the shop - must be the ambience. Turns out my local Whole Foods carry a limited flavor of the brand. Of course, at a much higher price.

It was fun to watch how socca is made and, as someone who has never tried it, I really liked it (not something I would crave immediately again but it's a good option for gluten free street food). Seems like there is always a line outside (which is an indicator for delicious and cheap food). It's more of a to go place so make sure it's packaged well as socca is pretty greasy and can create a huge mess. Overall, I would definitely go there again if I am in Nice.

We got a chance to see how they make their socca, which is apparently just the same flour used for couscous, mixed with water, then placed an big, round, metal baking dish lined with olive oil, and then oven roasted for 3-5 minutes. Once done, it's just lightly seasoned with pepper - our guide said no other spice, otherwise it's not authentic in terms of local custom. I wasn't the biggest fan of the socca, though it wasn't bad, and their pizzas on offer all looked amazing - there's a reason they had the long line that they had. Next time in old town Nice, I'd give them a try!

They emailed back and told me about the grove and the mill they do tours of. I'm an idiot and tried walking over an hour to tour what I thought was the mill. It's closed on Saturdays. It's Saturday. So anyway I had to come back down the hill to this shop. I don't regret it. This shop was so cool. We tried flavors of the oil and seasoned olives. All pretty delicious. Bought a bunch to take home. Even threw in some as a wedding gift. It's so cool that it is harvested right here. I will have to come back in the correct season The shop is so cute inside. Lots of wooden cookware too that looked cool. Put a pin in this place because you gotta go.

We purchased the Olive Oil and Basalmic vinegar and they are delicious! We went back and got two more bottles to bring back to the States. You can definitely taste the quality of the oil and the vinegar. The customer service is also great. They do speak some English. They also have scones available for a taste test, but I'd skip those. Overall, cute little store in a cute little village.

The two associates were so helpful explains the types of spices and salts. We loved the flavors of the salts. Selected several to take home. Secondly was the choice of jams. We waited until our return home to break the seals on all three and sampled. Wonderful homemade freshness. The pepper grinders, flavored vinegar and spices all looked inviting. I recommend that you step in and sample some of the product and plan what you will take home. We ended up stopping by three times to visit. Perfect discovery.
