Came late in the afternoon so a lot of the donut options weren't available. The staff working was really nice and had a good energy but was a bit distracted by other (regular) customer conversations. We picked a few varieties and the donuts tasted great and weren't greasy. Their chocolate chip bars didn't really have a lot of the chocolate filling you would usually expect (little to none actually). They have tables inside but no chairs. There are a pair of tables outside with seats available. They offer cold drinks, smoothies, coffee drink as well. They also offer breakfast sandwiches. read more

We had driven past this location so many times our past few days visiting Ventura that I felt I needed to check it out. It's in a cute little Victorian business complex. We were greeted immediately by a woman behind the counter that was so friendly. The first thing that caught my eye was the massive donuts. They are bigger than a human head. Then of course there were all the standard size donuts and pastries. The woman had also mentioned they had just baked the bran muffins and some coffee cake. I ended up buying the coffee cake. It was great because it was not too sweet. It was moist and fluffy. They sell coffee and iced coffee drinks but I already had a coffee at breakfast so I skipped it. read more

I ordered a maple bar with Bavarian cream, and apple fritter, and the cylindrical Apple donut next to the cinnamon rolls. They were absolutely amazing especially that apple donut next to the cinnamon rolls. These are the best donuts I have ever had. It was great to visit here after a long time and have a great conversation with the very hospitable manager. She was very nice and helpful. This place was great. The family and I were staying up the way at a resort for the weekend and the kids woke up with a sweet tooth. The littles and I went about 5 minutes up the road to this location. They had donuts I had never seen before. I am a really big cinnamon bun/roll guy, and I will say they had a really good selection. They also had the really big donuts that you can get from the Simpsons section at Universal Studios. The staff was super cool and friendly as well as the customers. Amazing donut place. They have a variety of different flavors and the bigger ones are huge. They cost more but look enormous. The customer service was spot on. The employees were not only fast, they were pretty good personality wise. The donuts offered were glazed, crumbs, cinnamon, sprinkles, long and circular. They had most of the donuta you expect to have from various gatherings. Parking outside was spacious and more importantly the price of the donuts were very good. It's 2021 and you'd expect some sort of massive increase, but you don't get that here and this place is by far better than s&s donuts I did a review on previously. Check that one out and vote please. Anyways the order for a dozen donuts was $13.50. That is amazing. The donuts were perfectly baked and tasted really good as well. Although my face expanded and my belly grew, it was worth the trip. Now, I have to go to the gym again. Overall, I would recommend coming here if and only if you want to taste good quality donuts and grow a muffin top. NUTS ABOUT SPUDNUTS Spotted a local eating a massive pastry by the harbor on one of our strolls, who told us it was from Spudnuts. If he hadn't highly recommended this place, we wouldn't have realized it was open in this ghost town. We wandered in around eight one morning and were bedazzled by the colorful selection. I chose a huge cinnamon roll, which was practically the size of a dinner plate. It was just the right combination of nuts, cinnamon crunch and cake. My brother and his wife raved about the giant apple fritters they devoured. We frittered away the morning nibbling on these warm, fresh delectable delights and playing Scrabble before taking a stroll on the beach to work off some of the calories. The quality of donuts that are made here have been subpar for some time now. Not sure if it went under new management, but their quality has dropped significantly the last few times I've had this place. It's very disappointing because we go there to get 2-3 dozen for work at least once a month. The donuts have tasted burnt or the frosting was not layered on correctly. Oh Spudnuts, how I love you. Donuts are great and all, but some are just better. My daughter and husband are partial to the buttermilk clusters. Yes, that is as delicious as it sounds.
