Everybody needs a Rachel. She's a magical Unicorn. I have been trying to organize my classroom materials storage area in my home for two years and have been wasting time trying to find items and constantly reorganizing things. It was driving me crazy. Then along came Rachel and now all my things are organized into systems that are user friendly and perfectly tailored to the mom/ classroom teacher who has no time but wants to be able to put out materials and create an educational learning environment for her students and children. My biggest struggle in the spaces were the over whelming feeling that everything was everywhere and I had way too many things and never knew where anything was. I chose to work with Rachel because I love the name "Spruce with Rachel". Once I checked out her website I knew she would be able to make magic happen in my home. My spaces have gone from one of the largest stress creators in my life to the spaces that make me so incredibly happy, a space where I know what I have and where everything is, a space where I can hide from my family. It's truly a space I go to be peaceful and calm. It's amazing! I would recommend anyone who is feeling overwhelmed with their space or just needing a little help in seeing their space. I read the art of tidying up and I attempted to say goodbye to my things but call me a hoarder, it was just such an overwhelming task. Rachel comes in to your home in a cool, calm and collective manner and makes minimizing and organizing such a fun and magical experience. Thank you Rachel! I am so looking forward to my next sprucing adventure with you. I highly recommend you check this girl out. What a gem! Rachel made what looked to be a 2 week long job into one that only took 11 hours (see my uploaded photos and you'll see why!). She faced the good, the bad, and the ugly in my garage without flinching. Her timeliness, professionalism, and solid work ethic are to be commended. Her organizational ideas and vision are on-point and very helpful. What more can I say? This is the person to hire if you need help taming your space.

Before - lots of clutter, and a lot of things I have trouble getting rid of.

Really helpful to get me started on re-thinking my cluttered apartment. She is kind and patient and the service is worth the investment.

My friends love color, and the designers worked with them to take out a couple of walls, merge the dining area, and turn a closed L-shaped kitchen into an open festive space with yards of counter space, walls of cabinets, and easy seating for twelve! She is patient and kind as she walks you through the design process and answers your (inevitable) many questions each step of the way. We worked with her to redesign three spaces in our home: our kitchen, and two bathrooms. With each space, she found ways to approach them in new and practical ways when we felt otherwise overwhelmed. She guided us through choosing stunning finishes, and we received so many compliments from contractors and friends alike along the way. We had never done a remodel - and now, being on the other end of the process, we don't know where we would have been had we not had her detailed designs to guide us all along the way. Whenever questions arose, it was invaluable to have something so concrete to refer to, and we can't recommend this approach enough for anyone considering a remodel.

When I moved at the end of December, Josie helped me go thorough all my stuff, decide what I actually needed and I was just hanging on to "in case". She helped me set up my new space, deciding what would go where, and how to make my life easier. It has been a wonderful help! Josie came into our apartment and completely changed the way we live! My husband and I donated 13 bags of clothing and got rid of over 30% of the items in our apartment. Before I felt unmotivated to clean my apartment because it was bursting at the seams but now I take pride in it because everything is organized and has its place. What I love most about working with Josie is that she takes care of all the aspects of organizing an apartment that I didn't want to deal with: 1) She handles donating all of the items 2) She took care of organizing the kitchen, living room and bathroom while my husband and I were at work 3) She recorded and reorganized our entire closet 4) Josie never pressured me into getting rid of anything and was really helpful in helping me figure out what I should keep or get rid of After one weekend, my apartment was a completely different space. I highly recommend Josie and Superfine - you will not regret working with her and you will feel immediately lighter and happier in your space.

I had used this service before and had a good experience. This time was different. After 1.5 hours,…read moreI had trouble understanding where the organizer was going with her plan, so I tried to express my needs and what I was looking for. After discussing for a while, she just left, having made more of a mess than was there before. I am including the "after" photo. Update: I got an email from the CEO threatening me for this review. It's unfortunate that her employee was upset with our appointment too. I stopped her to understand what her plan was and explain my needs, so that we weren't wasting our time. I'm sorry that my feedback hurt her feelings. My harshest feedback to her was, "I understand your piles, but I don't see how they are helpful," and "there are a lot of piles here - at some point they become superfluous." I have nothing against her employee. She seemed like a nice person. But I didn't see that her method was meaningful, and her explanation was only "this is my training" so I continued to not understand her plan, and I pressed to find out more, because I genuinely wanted her help. I tried to explain that all I wanted was someone to sit with me and say "do you need to keep this?" But she told me that her way was to make a bunch of piles, leave for 30 min so I could decide what to get rid of by myself, and then come back and put the leftovers away. I told her that if she did that, I would just feel overwhelmed and probably not do anything. So she told me she couldn't help. As she got up to leave, I even said, "ok we can do it your way. I'll try to trust you. Please don't leave me with this mess." But she left anyway. I wasn't going to even write a review until I realized she had scattered my sentimental box in an unfixable way. When I realized that, I cried. I had told her I wanted to work together, but she had refused, and if we had worked together in the first place, she wouldn't have destroyed the one thing that really mattered to me. It was a bad day for all involved. The CEO says I am a "bully" for articulating my needs, but I don't think my expectations were unreasonable. I wanted to go thru things together, and have the organizer be gently present as I made decisions about letting go. The organizer wanted to sort things herself and have me make decisions alone. Those ideologies are fundamentally at odds, so maybe it's good she left early.

Second time, we went through boxes and boxes of stuff that we hadn't unpacked for 2 years. I ended up donating two Honda Civics full of stuff! Lily did such an amazing job of sorting through everything I had and then culling down what I didn't need. She sat with me and provided advice for how to sort sentimental things and when to get rid of superfluous things. Most recently, we tore through the rest of the house getting rid of anything that we could in preparation for a move to a new home. WHEW! I feel 10-times lighter and am budgeting for time #4 to help organize our new home. I'd be lost without these ladies!
