Really helpful to get me started on re-thinking my cluttered apartment. She is kind and patient and the service is worth the investment.

Working with Rachel is a delight! We have referred her to many of our members at Pursuit Concierge for a variety of projects. From move-outs to move-ins, pantries to closets, small spaces to entire homes. She's very responsive and communicates really clearly and professionally. Recently, we worked closely with her on a huge project. Our mutual client was having their floors refinished while they were out of town. She helped move everything into boxes and ensured they were moved back to their original locations after the work was complete. One of the best things about Rachel is that she's able to work solo. Not everyone has the time or desire to do the organizing themselves - they'd rather have someone else just make the magic happen. With just a few thoughts on the desired end goal, Rachel can run with it and make sure your space is transformed. She's an incredible resource to have in our network and we'll continue to refer her to our members when the need for a space refresh comes up! read more

Let me start off this review by stating that I'm a fairly organized person. I read Marie Kondo cover to cover, have done my fair share of folding t-shirts into rectangles, and have no weird attachments to my childhood pajamas. However, that doesn't mean I don't have junk rooms that I close the door on. My husband and I have known Rachel for years so we finally asked her for help for organizing our laundry room and garage, which looked like a tornado went through it. I appreciated her lack of judgment, her willingness to be curious and ask questions about our lifestyle, and act as a guide and coach rather than just coming in to tidy our rooms for us without a plan on how to maintain the space. End result? The laundry room clutter is 95% gone. My toddler can run around the garage now without (too much) fear that she'll get her hands on a bolt or a bottle of chemicals. And that pile of giveaways that my husband's been meaning to take to Goodwill has miraculously disappeared. Yes, you can do it yourself. Yes, it's not hard to tidy. But yet, why do so many people psychologically resist? This is why people like Rachel exist. If you've ever thought you needed help with organizing, but thought, "Nah, I can do it myself," just put aside your pride and give Rachel a call. You'll be pleasant surprised at what you learn from the process! read more

Everybody needs a Rachel. She's a magical Unicorn. I have been trying to organize my classroom materials storage area in my home for two years and have been wasting time trying to find items and constantly reorganizing things. It was driving me crazy. Then along came Rachel and now all my things are organized into systems that are user friendly and perfectly tailored to the mom/ classroom teacher who has no time but wants to be able to put out materials and create an educational learning environment for her students and children. My biggest struggle in the spaces were the over whelming feeling that everything was everywhere and I had way too many things and never knew where anything was. I chose to work with Rachel because I love the name "Spruce with Rachel". Once I checked out her website I knew she would be able to make magic happen in my home. My spaces have gone from one of the largest stress creators in my life to the spaces that make me so incredibly happy, a space where I know what I have and where everything is, a space where I can hide from my family. It's truly a space I go to be peaceful and calm. It's amazing! I would recommend anyone who is feeling overwhelmed with their space or just needing a little help in seeing their space. I read the art of tidying up and I attempted to say goodbye to my things but call me a hoarder, it was just such an overwhelming task. Rachel comes in to your home in a cool, calm and collective manner and makes minimizing and organizing such a fun and magical experience. Thank you Rachel! I am so looking forward to my next sprucing adventure with you. I highly recommend you check this girl out. Awful. She charged me 500 dollars. She did a terrible job. She did a 50 dollar job. I've had much much better help with people from task rabbit who don't call themselves professional organizers. I've hired another organizer who is cheaper AND better. He is part of an organization that holds organizers to certain standards so folks like me aren't taken advantage of in the way Rachel did. read more

Rachel is uh-may-zing. I cannot begin to say just how amazing she is, but other clients/reviewers have hit the nail on the head: she may, in fact, be a unicorn, but we haven't been able to confirm OR deny this fact... I'm a believer. Of my own experience, I will say that Rachel is this century's Mary Poppins for adults in serious need of direction. For a procrastinator and rambling story teller like me, I found Rachel makes the decluttering and organization process a combination of hard work, space therapy, and decision making I might not otherwise be able to complete on my own. A couple minutes of story time and before I knew it we had everything, and I mean EVERYTHING out in the open, pulled from cupboards, back corners, those cobwebby parts of your psyche that retain useless memories and attachments to inanimate objects, and the junk from every box. A few hours of work and we made more headway together than I'd be able to do on my own in years... Literally, years. On a business note, I've had my fair share of experience with organization services. Rachel is in a category of her own. While a few of my prior experiences were fun and productive, this time it's remarkably different in feel and value. Rates are on-par/more than fair - especially when considering the level of service and attention. This human being (still, the jury is out as to whether or not she has supernatural powers, my vote is yes) has helped make it possible for me to grow in my space, move on from the detritus, and commit to the hard work and life long habit of maintaining my surroundings. THANK YOU. read more

What a gem! Rachel made what looked to be a 2 week long job into one that only took 11 hours (see my uploaded photos and you'll see why!). She faced the good, the bad, and the ugly in my garage without flinching. Her timeliness, professionalism, and solid work ethic are to be commended. Her organizational ideas and vision are on-point and very helpful. What more can I say? This is the person to hire if you need help taming your space. read more

Our garage is the first space we see when we get home from work and after a stressful day, the clutter only made it worse. We didn't know where to start, but Rachel did! She tackled the space in a logical way and had us sort through the clutter, literally down to the nuts and bolts. In a few short hours, the result was a beautiful - yes, the garage is now beautiful! - space with everything in its own proper place. We even gained space for our bikes. We really appreciated Rachel's service of hauling away our donation and dump disposal items (something we don't often have time to do ourselves). Now, we're more than happy to come home to our organized garage. We'd definitely recommend Rachel to anyone who is sick of seeing clutter and just wants it gone, fast! read more

I've known Rachel for a million years! She is a person of high integrity, an incredibly hard worker and a true delight to share time with. She is efficient. Instead of making time-wasting busy work she uses tools, technology and her acute skills to get your poop in a group. The detailed scope of work emails are just further evidence of her organizational acumen. You may utilize her talent for a one time project however likely you'll be like me and want to riddle a way to have her on the team to make your life better indefinitely. Spruce gives the gift of time; our most precious non-renewable resource, this service is SO valuable! Thank you Rachel for all you do! AND See you soon read more

I'm lucky enough to have a lot of storage in my kitchen, but despite that, I hated that room in my house. My husband and I moved in about five months ago. I had unpacked most of the house, but I left the kitchen to my husband since he cooks more, and I was exhausted. The result was everything being put in random cupboards and drawers. I couldn't find anything. Rachel came to my house, and in just a couple hours helped me to make sense of the chaos I was living with. The kitchen is now decluttered, the pantry is organized, and I know where everything is. For the first time since living there, the next day I actually baked since I could find what I needed, and the other night I needed to run back home to grab some things last minute and I easily found everything. Organizing this one room has so greatly improved the efficiency of my home. Rachel is smart, patient, and creative. She has followed up to make sure that not only I liked the kitchen, but my husband as well since he was out of town when we did the organizing session. I'd highly recommend Spruce with Rachel to anyone. read more

For the longest time, I was a pack rat. It's like the junior version of a hoarder. Everything was organized into totes and boxes, but I definitely had some things like garbage from a party I went to as a teenager, which I kept, probably because some guy I'd had a crush on was also at the party. Over the years, I've done a decent job of slowly getting rid of my own garbage. I took a small step into actual organization by having Rachel come over and go through just a few of the aforementioned totes with me. I ended up organizing a huge pile of notes I kept from high school, got rid of a ton of paper garbage, and cut down three big boxes into content that only half filled one box when it was all said and done. I very much look forward to hiring her for the bigger tasks I've been putting off. She's professional and completely judgment free, while at the same time able to ask me to judge the worth of the things I've held onto for far too long. She's got a fantastic demeanor, and I can't recommend her highly enough if you've got spaces to tidy, big or small. read more

Rachel is FANTASTIC. We have a closet and a living room shelf area that are constantly overwhelming, majorly in part to our struggle to downsize and get rid of the things we don't need. She helped walk us through taking every item, and helped talk me down from a few items I was struggling to let go of even though I knew we needed to. She's excellent at being friendly and encouraging, but also very good at keeping you honest with yourself about what to keep and what needs to go. I had thought about hiring a professional to help us out before, but I'd always worried that the "tough love" aspect that comes with helping get rid of stuff would be too much, but she was so easy to work with. She ended up hauling away a LOT of our stuff and the whole house feels lighter, even though we only worked in one specific area of the house. It's made a huge difference. She's also very thorough! Before we got started, we sent her pictures of the spaces we were working with so she already had a game plan when she showed up. When we ran out of time in our session, she still took the time to look at the kitchen (our second priority area) and write out a checklist of what we should consider next to help get it organized. She also talked tips and tricks for efficiently navigating large cleaning tasks without burning out and recommended a number of products that would work in our kitchen spaces. After it all, she followed up quickly in an email with a detailed recap of everything, including our before/after pictures and all of the tips she gave us for the kitchen. We still have a ways to go in some areas of the house and we're definitely hoping to have Rachel come back when it's time to get into the truly tough stuff (our garage!). read more

I used Rachel today and could not be happier with the results. She is AMAZING! There was a point where I couldn't walk from all of the STUFF all over my house but I never felt overwhelmed. Rachel made me feel inspired and excited to reclaim my space. I will recommend her to anyone that asks. Best money I've spent in months! Organizing/decluttering is not something you get inspired to do and then sit around for a few weeks and so when I just couldn't take the clutter anymore I sent out some quotes and Rachel responded almost immediately and the ball was rolling. Highly recommend! read more

8 months ago I made the decision to hire Rachel from Spruce with Rachel to organize my apartment. What a great decision that was. In that short stretch of time, I now have complete control over my physical space as well as an operational system that has given me a ton of my personal time back. I've been a pretty busy guy with a massive workload at times. However, Rachel has been able to keep up and stay in front of my busy schedule. My apartment is always clean, organized and stocked with everything I need to get through the week. Let me say as my personal organization hit a stride I was able to focus my attention on losing weight, reducing debt and building a new business. Things I couldn't have done if I wasn't organized. I would highly recommend Spruce with Rachel to busy individuals or those needing more order in their physical space. I wasn't messy in the beginning, but I can tell you today that I'm organized and I know where everything is in apartment. Let me just end by saying that few companies afford you the luxury of getting more time back in your day; however, Spruce with Rachel is one of them. Go talk to Rachel and get your time back. It is worth every penny. read more

Rachel is amazing! I highly recommend Rachel for a variety of types of organizing projects. I first hired Rachel to organize my home office. I found it hard to focus on my work with a cluttered area. I decided to work with Rachel because she listened intently to my struggle with my space and how I envisioned my new space. She is not only empathic to her clients needs, but also great at brainstorming to come up with ideal outcomes. She is excellent at following up on items to assist after session like giving me names and addresses of places to sell or repair items. I also hired Rachel to organize my storage unit and move to a new apartment. She is very versatile in her abilities. I am more at peace with my spaces and able to enjoy them stress-free. I can also focus on my work when in my office area! read more

It was about time moving into a new place and starting bad habits 6 months in that I decided to hire Rachel to come spruce up the place. What Rachel was able to do in such a short amount of time with a 600 square foot apartment was amazing. Since Rachel has helped, organizing and cleaning has never been easier, the layout that she was able to make made finding things more cohesive and cleaning more efficient. Super flexible when it comes to working with Rachel and would highly recommend to anyone from someone that might hoard a bit to even the most organized person asking for a second opinion. Rachel was in fact a great consultant when it came to making my home a more welcoming environment. read more

Rachel was a godsend for me. Her patience, fun, and focus, were a delight to be around. She is also very expedient, which is one of her shining qualities that I am most impressed by. Rachel's clarity, and sorting skills, and organizational expertise, are second to none. I knew I needed help sprucing up my house, that's why I hired Rachel, but it wasn't until she began working with me that I realized how much help I had been needing. She cleared out so much, and made space for new flow. Rachel hauled off garbage, recycling and donations. She implemented decorating ideas, and storage solutions. Her hard work, thoroughness, and her professionalism make her a gem. She transformed our two bedrooms, one bath, hall, kitchen, living and dining room, and began work in overhauling our basement! I am so thankful for Spruce with Rachel, her business positively transformed our house into a home, and made it possible for me to see how clean, serene living can be, and she gave me the insight and courage to keep it all up on my own, which is beautiful. read more

Rachel is great and very patient! I get overwhelmed when I have too much to organize and don't know where to start. She helped me organize and purge 3 closets full of unpacked boxes, a year after moving into my new house. She helped me part with papers and trinkets that weren't really vital, and organize all the things that were important or that needed a place to live. It felt so good to get rid of things and declutter a couple of rooms. I also learned a couple of tips to keep it going. Now if only my husband would learn these tricks! read more

My fiancé and I hired Rachel to tackle our storage unit and the closet spaces in our shared apartment. I was hesitant to hire someone to help organize and clean out everything at first because I'm typically pretty good at decluttering and it felt like something I should do on my own. My fiancé however is a pack rat. Every time we tried to do this on our own, it turned into a fight. Enter Rachel to save us! It's been four months since we hired her and everything is still working so well. Not only did we get rid of 9 garbage bags full of stuff, we also cleared out our storage unit and made it functional. Now we can grab camping gear and ski gear without digging through a mountain of crap. She also had us change where and how we stored a lot of our clothing and other items in the apartment. It makes so much more sense now and is way easier to keep picked up. Perhaps the best part, she hauls off everything you need to get rid of and will even sell any pieces for you. She also did all the measurements and research for the best utility shelving to use in our storage unit and purchased everything for us at a discount. This was money so well spent, I can't recommend Rachel highly enough. She saved my fiancé and I from unnecessary fights and has made our space so much more functional. I even cleaned out and reorganized our kitchen and bathroom using some of the tips I learned from her in the process. Thank you Rachel, you're amazing! read more

I had a lovely experience working with Rachel. She was born to help people organize! Not only is she highly organized herself, she is also energetic, motivated, a great communicator, friendly, down to earth and non-judgmental. Rachel was fabulous! She went right to work prioritizing and leading me in a few different overwhelming projects. Bedroom closet and dresser got cleaned out in a jiffy and are still looking good today with her systems. We also did half of my basement which I could never tackle on my own! Always supportive and well-prepared, Rachel helped me feel a sense of accomplishment and ease with my stuff. I still use her methods today and picture her whenever I need motivation for decluttering. read more

Hire her!!! What are you waiting for? I waited way too long. I kept saying oh I will get to it. I said how could someone really help with all my crap. Well .... 9 years slipped by and I could no longer ignore the fact that I couldn't get one more thing in my garage. The car was on the street! Rachel came out and in one day I have my garage back and my self respect. She honors your goals and keeps you on track makes suggestions and does not stop. Highly recommend her and her services. read more

Rachel's help was exactly what I needed! She was able to come in and work with me to sort my closet from top to bottom. While I was expecting an experience like "What Not to Wear" where she'd tell me to throw out EVERYTHING, Rachel left the bulk of the decision making up to me. If I was on the fence with an item, she'd help me talk through how recently I had worn it, if I thought I'd wear it again, and how the item would play in with the rest of my clothes. She has an eye for organization and will transform your space in a way you probably would have never thought of. I'm so happy to have worked with her! read more

Rachel was my "savior". I was gone for a couple of years on a project out of state and coming home, unpacking, sorting, purging was incredibly overwhelming! So I hired Rachel to come in and make sense of a daunting task. A truly gifted person with the great "bedside manner" to match. No judgement, just gets the work done! I knew all this because I had hired her to work on a project for my mother's house in Seattle to prepare for selling. So I know how easy she makes these tasks. What is so incredible is her thoroughness of completing the job - she hauls away to the garbage, the give-away, or consignment items. A true professional with solid communication, follow-up and I guarantee you, if you hire her, you will be more than ecstatic at the end of the day! read more

Rachel has a talent unlike anyone else! She is a natural motivator and people mover. After my father passed away and a long trip to Michigan, Rachel reached out to me to help me create some order in my home. She has a system to keep you engaged, on task, and she does it with a smile. We spent a short amount of time going through every article of clothing. She provided me with an education as we processed my clutter, she presented metrics, and she gives you back time! It was just what I needed while grieving, and it really was therapeutic. We cleaned my closet in May, and it is still organized. It allowed me to save time hunting for my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. It also became quite clear that I wear lots of cat shirts, and I love shoes. It gives you an analytical approach to visualize your shopping habits. It saves me money knowing the inventory of my closet. Not only do I save money and time, but I created some healthy habits from working alongside her. This week she came over to help me in my kitchen. Again, I could not find things. Not being able to find my snacks, WATCH OUT. We did the same thing in my kitchen. She is great about keeping me from getting distracted and focusing on one room. It feels like a new space! There is less clutter, my cabinets are organized in a way that makes sense. My time today comes with less anxiety. Sprucing with Rachel is something I know I need monthly! She not only helps with sprucing your physical space, she makes you think about where you spend your time. She has even inspired me to quit smoking! Sprucing is now something I enjoy thanks to Rachel. I look forward to cleaning out my closets with her, and who likes cleaning a closet? ME ME!!! read more

Rachel is one of a kind. After remodeling our kitchen and family room and living in boxes and utter chaos for 6 months, I was completely overwhelmed with where to start to de clutter and put my items back in the new space. I have worked with Rachel in the past and knew when I had a big project at work appear that she was just the person to help. The company had a filing system that was reminiscent of a personal home filing system, which is not at all what you would use to manage a company. Particularly a company that is growing fast. We needed someone to not only review years of old files and file them appropriately (chronological versus by name for some items, while others are by type of transaction and name) and then go through 2 years of documents that were not filed at all and stored in stacks. She had great ideas for systems to use, read my mind for where things should be saved, and took care of every detail. For me, I really needed someone to be self-sufficient and just make it happen. She did that, provided regular status updates, and trained the employees where to file going forward. It was so seamless and, of course, I appreciated her sunny disposition. read more
