The avocado toast was great, even though my bread wasn't actually toasted, it was delicious. Be prepared on a weekend morning there will almost certainly be a queue, but once you order the food comes out fairly quick. Sprout Bread is located on Cannery Lane, behind the major road Ellis Street. It has a hidden gem atmosphere with a few shops on the same road. Slowside Coffee is also located beside Sprout Bread, with a connecting door. I like the ambiance of this third wave coffee shop. I got a cold matcha latte, monkey bread, a blueberry danish, and a scone. The matcha flavor was a bit weak, but the sweetness was fine. The scone was just average in texture. The blueberry danish dough was crispy enough but otherwise just okay. My favorite was the monkey bread, with its nicely moist texture and cinnamon flavor. This café is very popular, even on weekdays. The service is nice and friendly. Next time, I must try their toast or hard bread, which looked very good. Those must be their signature items that I should have tried. read more

Highly recommend checking out this cute coffee shop in Kelowna! The interior was vibrant, spacious (has two floors!) and was filled with natural light. We tried the Toast and Blueberry Honey Jam ($6) - it was 2 pcs of freshly baked sourdough bread with a side of butter and a choice of spread. The sourdough perfectly complimented the butter and jam! Also tried The Gardener ($12) - it had sweet peppers, tomato, pickled red onion, cucumber, greens, magic green sauce, & hummus. We were looking for something light, and this sandwich hit the spot perfectly! I really liked the hummus and felt that it tied the whole sandwich together. Loved their iced mocha ($6.50)! What a great little find. Definitely going to become a regular place to visit when I am visiting Kelowna. Although we sat on the patio, the inside is pretty funky. Liked the ambiance. Coffees were great and we ordered a bit of food. Breakfast sandwich - great, avocado toast with feta - great, and the person who had the scone (and she eats a lot of scones) said it was the best scone of her life. Sandwiches all look good. Adorable bakery in the alleyway. Get there early cause lines do form and it's definitely a local hot spot. We came during a weekday to grab brunch and I enjoyed my Montreal smoke meat sandwich. Nicely meaty, not too salty. We tried the ricotta toast (light and fluffy) and the ham sandwich. We also got a loaf of bread which was delicious and lasted us a few days of breakfast. The lattes and coffee all tasted the same to us, but I did enjoy my iced London fog! Maybe we don't have the tasting expertise for coffee haha! Service was really quick and nice. Pricing is a bit high but it's a good treat for breakfast. You're getting some really fun breakfast dishes. I will be back! read more

Great coffee, fresh pastries! Came by mid-morning on a Sunday and the line was out the door for both the café and the coffee shop. You can order the full menu selection from either half of the shared space (ie. Coffee shop or café). They moved through the line remarkably fast, and I ended up enjoying my to-go order on site. Ordered an oat milk latte, avocado toast with an added egg and monkey bread from the pastry case. The monkey bread was fresh and cinnamon sweet. The latte was well prepared with a creamy layer of foam art displayed on top. Finally, the avocado toast arrived on a thick slice of fresh baked bread that was just chewy enough to maintain it's shape without dropping the toppings! I would definitely repeat the visit, with the only change being to arrive earlier so I can snag a comfy seat and dine in. read more

Nah. $19 for the 'classic bacon and eggs'- supposed to come with roasted potatoes and vegetables, pumpkin seed romesco and hollandaise. In reality you get a slab of (admittedly, very good) bread with two fried eggs and a small pile of limp bacon. No potatoes, no vegetables, no hollandaise, no romesco. C'mon. Front of house was too swamped to care. Kitchen was totally in the weeds, so I had to take the L on this one. Expand the kitchen and hire more cooks, or cut back on the menu and its complexity. You can't charge the public full price and then deliver less than half of the meal. This feels like a place with a decent core concept but man does it fail to deliver. Way too expensive to be cutting this many corners on infrastructure, staff, and customer experience. Would not recommend. Oh well! read more

A really cute space with a nice little patio. Ordered an Americano and a fresh baked loaf of bread. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. Staff were wearing masks but most patrons weren't - which was shocking as there's no way to social distance in that shop with one door for in and out. They had hand sanitizer and floor markers. Places to park bikes outside, and lots of cute doggos. A trendy spot. read more

Fantastic spot! Cute little cafe, great coffee, amazing food. Personally wish they had some smaller tables not almost exclusively community tables but obviously a choice they made on purpose. Also wish they had some sweetener options other than sugar and honey (like stevia or something) but not a huge deal. More importantly the food is amazing, had avocado toast, a vegetable sandwich and an iced latte, all were absolutely excellent, especially the sandwich, really something special. Not very happy. Went there for lunch today and got avocado toast that the menu stated came with arugula. It was slow and I was fine with that, especially at lunch time. However I had to get mine to-go as I had to be back at work. Saw other patrons who were eating in get their orders and they looked really good. Covered nicely with avocado, feta, arugula and some sort of drizzle. Two fairly generous portions of bread. I got mine and it was a medium sized bread, no arugula or drizzle. Avocado was barely to the edge. Feta was just chunks chunks in the middle. Edge was slightly burnt. Tried to say something twice but was snapped at. Was mediocre at best. $10 for one piece of bread, avocado and a slight bit of feta. I guess since I wasn't eating there I didn't matter. There were three of us that ordered together. One had the same as mine. The other had two pieces same size as ours. Terrible. Never going back and will warn others thinking of going there. Highly disappointed read more

We arrived having heard only good things about this cafe. It was thus entirely surprising when we discovered how rude and unprofessional the main server was. She was disruptive, dismissive, and seemed shocked at having to perform the simplest of required tasks.
