The salmon was tough, tasted bad, rank. The seasoning was weird and didn't pair well. It had some kinda spice that tasted odd. I don't even know what to say about it. But later that night I was throwing up well into the morning. I only eat possibly 3-4 small bites, most of the dish was left back. I still tipped and didn't complain as I just wanted the kids to have a nice night without arguing with whoever. As I write this I am reminded of the disgusting taste. NEVER again for that dish! Now that I think about it I honestly shouldn't have tipped. Paying for that dish was already above and beyond!

I ordered a dozen fresh ones and they were fantastic. I also bought day-old cupcakes and there were also fantastic! Don't shun the day-olds! The variety isn't as good as the fresh ones, but I didn't hear one person complain as they were quickly devoured. What I enjoy the most about their cupcakes is that the cake isn't sweet, the icing and filling take care of the sweet. I had a coffee while I waited and they brought me a housemade marinara sauce and flatbread. Delightful! It was warmed up and had a little heat; I could've eaten the whole thing, but I had to leave room for my sandwich. Their coffee is fantastic; it comes from a local roaster called Trebilock.The kaiser was fresh and the pork was slow-cooked to perfection. The coleslaw on the sandwich was a nice twist. It was crisp and saucy, just how I like it. It was a great meal. I'd love to try their other sandwiches! I'm not done! I got a combo, so it's cupcake time! So many choices, but their Facebook posts convinced me the try the Cupcake of the Month. Each month they have a creative cupcake featured that you must try. From all of their cupcakes I've tried, my favourites are Red Velvet, Banana Chip, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Mint and Vanilla. I haven't tried them all, but I haven't had one I didn't like! The warm weather is coming, so I know I'll be back for their Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream! A welcome addition to Whitby. It's got great food and friendly service. They will make you a cupcake junkie!

However--if the first couple who arrives is a) older and b) clearly has a member with mobility issues, why would you choose to seat them at the most awkward table in the house, which involved mildly hoisting oneself up to get into the chairs, and then realizing that the chairs are too small for the table. That sort of weird aesthetic. Then the second couple shows up with a baby. Stroller will be a foot or so well below eye level, and no chance of a high chair. "Could we please move to one of the many tables outside instead?" Should not be greeted by snark, nasty asides, and cursory eye rolling. Grow up. This went on throughout the whole meal. To hell with you, who should have been old enough (late 30s?) to know better. Why not enforce the no-smoking policy better, instead? You let three guys in shirts that last fit them in middle school smoke within 10 feet of us. And the baby.

Looking through the menu we had a really tough time deciding what we wanted since there were so many great options! I ordered the Veggie Omelette and I was really impressed by it. The omelette contained grilled onions, spinach and tomato and the veggies were delicious! There was a light sprinkle of feta on top which complemented the flavours very well. My parter ordered the Big Fart and also really enjoyed it. We loved the home fries and the sausages were awesome. We got the pancake as a side and it was probably the fluffiest pancake I've ever seen! The portion sizes were perfect and we left the table comfortably full.
