Definitely more expensive if you compare to Dairy Queen, but so many more options with their flavours. It was very busy when I went at 9pm on a Monday night with two staff working. I do enjoy the concept of getting to choose my ice cream (7oz) and getting to mix the toppings in the ice cream. I'm pretty simple and went with the sweet cream and added almond pieces to help cut the sweetness, waffle pieces for texture and a little sprinkles on top to make it look cute. It was really good. The quality of the ice cream is great in comparison to other ice cream joints (however baskin Robbins is still up there). Now the thing that pushed this location up to 5 stars was the vanilla sugar cone. How many times have you gone to an ice cream joint and had a stale cone? This was FRESH! It had flavour and was very crunchy, you could instantly tell it was made that day. I'll be back! Keep Eating, Angela

If the owners are reading this: PLEASE BRING IT BACK. They also had other unique caffeinated inventions but I don't see them as often. That being said, their main stay is truly their gelato. And that has to stay. There are traditional flavours like cheesecake, but then you also got a Ceylon Ginger Biscuit all on display just being so enticing. It's practically begging for me to take it home. Which I did and loved it. They also have sandwiches which I haven't tried, but again they are unique and bring in those South Asian elements. Definitely worth trying.

If it gets too busy, you'll have to wait outside. Inside is nice and clean looking, very aesthetically pleasing. There were a lot of staff working too. I ordered a double scoop of the Maple Walnut and New York Cheesecake ($9 + tax). I really enjoyed the Maple Walnut, it was good. Had a good combination of both flavours. The New York Cheesecake was OK. It didn't really taste like the cake, but I still enjoyed whatever the taste was. The toppings that they put on top was good. It was like some crunchy crumble. Overall, I'd come back and try out the other flavours. Looking on their website, they have so many other flavours which weren't available at the time. One thing I would have liked to see was some outdoor seating or something. I had to stand outside the shop to eat my gelato.

I tried their salted caramel cupcake and it was delicious. It was a great surprise to look up their Yelp business page and see the variety of things they offer. I also had a great conversation with everyone who was there, including the baker. I am not a huge fan of baked goods in general, but this place had my mouth watering for more. I can't wait to stop buy and try more of their stuff this weekend.

I ordered a dozen fresh ones and they were fantastic. I also bought day-old cupcakes and there were also fantastic! Don't shun the day-olds! The variety isn't as good as the fresh ones, but I didn't hear one person complain as they were quickly devoured. What I enjoy the most about their cupcakes is that the cake isn't sweet, the icing and filling take care of the sweet. I'm not saying the cake is blah, I'm saying the cake not being sugary balances them so your teeth don't hurt. The 3rd visit was to pickup my Valentine's Day treats! I ordered 6 vanilla minis, 6 chocolate minis and a heart shaped Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. As a chocolate addict, I thought I would like the chocolate ones more, but the vanilla minis stole my heart. The picture of the cake is deceiving. I expected it to be just a heart shaped cookie, but it really is a cake! The best way to describe it is a fluffy cookie; it was freaking awesome. I should've got one for myself. ;) My last visit was for a light supper. I had some time to kill, so I ordered a pulled pork sandwich on a kaiser combo and took a seat. It's a very cozy venue, but not crowded. All of the tables were clean and the large windows let lots of natural light in. I had a coffee while I waited and they brought me a housemade marinara sauce and flatbread. Delightful! It was warmed up and had a little heat; I could've eaten the whole thing, but I had to leave room for my sandwich. Their coffee is fantastic; it comes from a local roaster called Trebilock. The kaiser was fresh and the pork was slow-cooked to perfection. The coleslaw on the sandwich was a nice twist. It was crisp and saucy, just how I like it. It was a great meal. I'd love to try their other sandwiches! I'm not done! I got a combo, so it's cupcake time! So many choices, but their Facebook posts convinced me the try the Cupcake of the Month. Each month they have a creative cupcake featured that you must try. From all of their cupcakes I've tried, my favourites are Red Velvet, Banana Chip, Maple Bacon, Chocolate Mint and Vanilla. I haven't tried them all, but I haven't had one I didn't like! The warm weather is coming, so I know I'll be back for their Kawartha Dairy Ice Cream! A welcome addition to Whitby. It's got great food and friendly service. They will make you a cupcake junkie!

Known for their excellent arancini rice balls, they serve arborio rice balls that are stuffed with ground veal in tomato sauce, sweet peas and mozzarella cheese. I love all types of pasta from white Alfredo sauce pasta, to rosé tomato-cream sauce pasta, or Bolognese sauce pasta, or tomato-basil pasta. They also have coffee, cannoli and gelato. On any given day customers drop by for their chicken parm, eggplant parm, ceasar salad, Calabrese, veggie, ham and cheese grilled panini, meatball or chicken or veal sandwiches. Be sure to add hot or sweet peppers, provolone or mozzarella cheese, onions, eggplant and mushrooms to give your sandwich extra flavours. I added green peppers to my veal sandwich and a very important point to add much needed extra sauce! The second veal sandwich I ordered was very dry, almost tasteless and had practically no tomato sauce on it. Wasn't sure if it always comes this dry? I hope not but am glad I asked for extra sauce on the second sandwich. Much needed! Their gelato is worth tasting if you have a sweet tooth.
