This is definitely their passion project, and it shows in how they talk about their ciders/wine and enjoy sharing with people. It's located in a business park where they have what seems like a traditional tasting room with a few tables, a "living room" with comfortable seats and a couch surrounded by their barrels, and a "patio" outside with covered seating. We opted for a cider tasting, and as someone who was a little wary, because I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I was so excited to hear that their style is on the drier side. These hard ciders are dangerously good... refreshing, delicately flavored, and you wouldn't even know that they're packed with a high ABV. We tried the Apple, Black Berry Pie, Golden Kiwi, Guava, Blood Orange, and Key Lime. My favorite was the guava and my SO's was the Black Berry Pie. These are perfect for warm weather, and you can even take cans or growlers to go! As for food, there are some snacks available for purchase, and folks are welcome to bring their own snacks (uh, charcuterie plate, anyone?) except when there's a food truck. Hidden within a business park, this boutique winery and cider house offers something for everyone. They have a cute tasting room, and of course a "back patio" area, but we preferred the comfy "living room" seating area inside the barrel room (I love a nice barrel room). One minor complaint is that they don't have a printed tasting list, or even a comprehensive list of their wines/prices. WINES: We were able to try a '21 Albarino, a '19 Viognier, a '20 Rosé of Granache, a '19 carbonic Cabernet Sauvignon, a '20 Syrah, and a '16 Cab Sauv. from Lodi. We loved the two whites, and the Syrah and Lodi Cab, taking home several bottles. My mother-in-law had a glass of their Cinnabon cider, which was quite nice. They had nine flavors of cider on tap the day of our visit. No food available, other than bags of chips, but feel free to bring your own munchies and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and tasty wines/ciders! Overall, we had a nice experience getting to know Jen & Frank and trying their wines. IMO, Back Patio Cellars is definitely worth a visit.

She seems to spend more time talking with the kitchen staff than engaging with the customers at the bar, and that welcoming atmosphere just hasn't been there.
