They have helped me be independent of my pain and have even helped get my an strength back by prescribing physical therapy. I'm sad to see so many bad reviews - the staff and the whole experience are extremely sweet! 1000% recommend if you are committed to make a wholesome approach to getting healthy.

I know how & why, and I'll leave it as not good. The entire medical community talks about the former APA Clinic-even when someone is NOT in the medical field. Austin does want to know: WHERE IS Dr Feferman? I thought I was done, but OH NO. I was given an amount much lower than my supposed total (which had included balance billing and significantly higher charges)-I paid cash to end it. THEN old claims previously processed as Out of Network (and part of my payment above) were resubmitted by "someone" as In Network, so this clinic collected double. NOT NICE. For those who hope this place is nice and has competent staff now-I hope so too. However, If they are so desperate or incompetent as to 1. Harass me for payment (no worries I save EVERYTHING), 2. Receive It after much negotiation THEN (as was always the CORRECT ROUTE- I was NEVER Out of Network) 3. Go To Cigna and RE FILE EACH as a "Corrected In Network Claim" I say BE CAREFUL. I am SO SICK of EVERYTHING related to APA and their new company BUT I have Ethics, and think my doctors should follow the Ethics to which THEY are bound. This isn't over, SO nothing else significant posts til this ENDS. However- I have Cigna so they will be involved You will GET NOWHERE with Austin Billing; I suggest googling the full company name not just USEP (see my post 1 or 2 below for it) along with the address in Dallas used to send payments (a POBox in Dallas). I grew up in Texas the son of a scientist, and was raised in an intellectually rich environment in…read morewhich reading, research, facts and truth were held in high regard--in direct contrast to the astounding horror of our age in which the current power structure of idiot-based disinformation has allowed the term "alternative facts" to leak into our lexicon. I inherited what I call my father's Query Engine Mind, which has served me well in becoming a writer and a published author whose non-fiction book on UFOs has been selling steadily on Amazon for five years on April 9th. My research skills have also enabled me to scope out the best in their fields, which came in handy when I recently re-injured a herniated disc at L4-5 (which apparently is a more complex mess now than it was 25+ years ago when the snow skiing accident started it all), and I have lucked into a superb operation called the Greater Austin Pain Center. When Dr. Alan Silberberg walked into the consultation room, shook my hand, sat down and opened with, "I've studied your MRI images carefully, and you're in a real pickle here, buddy," I knew I'd met my doctor. He radiates intelligence the way my Dad did, and he's extremely blunt and direct and doesn't sugarcoat the facts--all the elements I need in a doctor for me to feel confident I'm in good hands. We've taken the approach of doing spinal epidurals (the same treatment that was very effective for me with the original injury), and I had my first session this week. I was face down on an operating table, so I can't visually describe what was done, but I can say that the needles weren't artlessly jammed into my lower back, they were slowly finessed into the damaged areas, and the steroid/pain killer mix was injected slowly and then with a more steady progression. The artful skill being utilized here was quite noticeable and greatly appreciated, and it clearly minimized the application pain (I chose no sedation). This doctor's impressive online CV most definitely matches his performance. Dr. Silberberg is surrounded by a top-notch staff of clinical professionals and front end office people, mostly an all-female crew. I've encountered nothing but friendly and polite helpfulness from everybody, both on the phone and in person. If they can maintain their level of excellence, friendliness and efficiency across the board, then I hope they corner the market here in Central Texas. My Dad often said, "The cream always rises to the top." Dr. Alan Silberberg and his crew have proven this to me. If you're a self-paying client like I am, this is the Go-To Team for you. They treat me great, and they've impressed me beyond words. I got lucky the day I found them.

He ordered a MRI and prescribed Gabapentin. I filled the prescription but the list of possible side effects were terrifying. I called the office and informed them that I would not be taking that particular medication and would another alternative to relieve the terrible pain that I was in. I was informed he would not recommend or prescribed anything until after the MRI. There was zero concern for my pain nor any follow-up after I did the MRI which showed several issues. MY GP saw the MRI and stated that my pain must be intense and it was. Dr. Mancera obviously did not care about the pain due to his lack of follow-up or willingness to prescribe anything else but a medication that after research I did not feel safe taking. I felt unheard and uncared for. I would not recommend.

Really not a particularly good practice…read more I had a few procedures done to relieve some chronic back pain subsequent to surgery. Although they seemed to know what they were doing, I didn't get very much relief. Billing was an absolute nightmare however. I got bills that didn't make any sense. Spent hours and hours trying to get it straightened out. After months of tremendous frustration, they got a woman who was actually able to help with it. They had made several BIG mistakes (billing twice for the same thing, etc.), that were always in THEIR favor. Eventually, got it squared away (I ended up owing over $2,000 less than they were trying to get from me). By then treatment was complete and their new "suggestions" weren't terribly helpful (for instance, a $2,500 back brace which wouldn't allow me to sit in my chair at work). Just not very good at what they do and terrible at billing. I'm very glad that I'm not dealing with them anymore. There are plenty of other really good Pain Management Practices around.

Re: Scalp Expert…read more Sarah B. is only one of two scalp experts in Austin to treat balding or dandruff. My hair started falling out in clumps after using conditioner purchased at Craig Piatti Salon, Shu Uemura Ashita supreme conditioner. Sarah took pictures of my scalp and examined it by zooming in to ascertain I had build up. She exfoliated my scalp using Oway products. Now she's focusing on rebuilding my hair so that it's thicker and fuller after being highlighted at Craig Piatti Salon. She said that postpartum, I should not have had my hair highlighted without rebuilding first. The texture of my hair changed postpartum and could not handle the same highlighting treatment as it did before pregnancy. I'm so glad that my hair is on its way back to fullness and thickness!

I wanted to create a color style that worked alongside my new white hairs that were growing in rather than jumping on the root touch-up train that requires being in the salon every two to four weeks. Together we came up with a plan to place a little balayage next to where the white hairs were growing in to add dimension and actually use the white hair as part of the overall look. I get so many compliments on my hair and haven't stressed about white hair since Sarah started coloring my hair! I'll also note that the color she uses smells like herbs vs. headachy chemicals and has left my hair healthier than former hair color formulas I've had used in other salons in the past. Sarah is phenomenal and I feel lucky to be her client!
