Laughable response. This event happened YEARS ago. We've cut our losses and are MUCH happier with our new vet and our new laser therapy provider. The pancreatitis is now under control with prescription food and we're no longer being price gouged. Have anything else to say? I can find other avenues to post reviews. Own what you did! We were customers for YEARS. A quality vet would have made a phone call to check on our dog AT MINIMUM, not imply that we were in some way to blame for such a gross misdiagnosis and oversight in our poor dog's care. If it wasn't for us seeking help elsewhere our dog would have died. You should be ashamed of yourself. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so other pet parents know what to expect. This clinic pressure sold me a membership, dismissed my account of my puppy's adverse reaction to meds, and refused to provide a safer alternative. Now they're demanding $400 to cancel the membership. Steer clear! At my very first visit, I was signed up for a monthly membership--even after I explained I might be relocating soon. That already felt more like a sales pitch than genuine care. The real problem came with the medication included in the plan. I was given Simparica Trio for my 5 lb. toy poodle. I understand that most dogs do not react to this medication, but I specifically waited 1-2 months to give it to her because I had researched potential side effects and knew other poodle owners whose dogs had reacted badly. Unfortunately, when I finally tried it, my worries came true. Within 1-2 hours of her very first dose, she developed severe diarrhea that lasted 5-6 days. She had never had diarrhea before in her life--not even puppy stools--and suddenly she was waking up 3-4 times a night in pain needing to go outside. When I reported this, the vet dismissed it, suggesting it was "just puppy stools" or that she had eaten something. That doesn't explain five straight days of nighttime pain and diarrhea. I even paid $104 for a fecal exam to prove it wasn't a parasite. When the results came back negative, I knew it had to be the Simparica Trio--nothing else had been introduced into her system. The clinic's reasoning was that because her reaction lasted longer than 1-2 days, they didn't believe it was from the medication. To me, that logic is unreasonable--people with sensitive stomachs or medication reactions can have symptoms that last much longer, so why wouldn't the same be possible for a small dog? On top of this, I was told I either had to keep giving her the medication that made her sick or pay $400 to cancel my membership in order to access a safer alternative. So to be clear: * A prescribed medication made my dog very sick. * I paid for testing that ruled out other causes. * The vet still dismissed the symptoms and refused to consider the medication. * I was denied access to a safer alternative under my plan. * I was told I must pay $400 to cancel a membership that is now unsafe for my pet. This feels exploitative, dismissive, and not in the best interest of my dog's health. I hope the clinic reconsiders its policies and takes adverse reactions more seriously. read more

My family's cat's health began to decline, and instead of helping to solve the problem, this "clinic" told us "There's nothing to worry about". This was even after taking him to an emergency vet. With his health still declining after our visit with Springmill, we took our cat to a different vet. There, it was discovered that he had cancer, and was beginning to spread around his body. After being assured that "There's nothing to worry about," we had to put our cat to sleep. Afterwards, when discussing terminating the "Pet Prime Membership" for this cat, the vet was not willing to do so, even comparing the situation to wrecking a new car but still needing to pay for said car. This business does not care about your pet. All they want is the money. There are vets in the area that will go out of their way to help your friend, but unfortunately, Springmill isn't one of those places. read more

Well took my dog there they told me $25 for Visit got charged $50 was told $50 for ear cleaning well they charged $40.00 then something else's for ear 90.00 two different meds that was over 60.00 never talked me about anything just took him back and walked by me as I walked out of room said $332.00 my mouth dropped they said we will email you list what we did I said no print it please .omg please always have them go over things they only told me two things doc said she was going to back to figure what she was going to do. The vets are great but do not buy your prescriptions through them. The prices are ridiculously high. I just paid nearly $4 per pill for my dog's prednisone prescription and can get them on many websites (like Chewy) for less than 25 cents! Yes, 25 cents! Ask for the prescription and shop around but be warned Springmill will make you mail in your prescription to wherever you buy from (no email) so it will take a while which is extremely frustrating! I am very disappointed with the way my dog's prescriptions were handled. read more

Having a cat die after surgery at a different facility has made it difficult to trust vets. Now that I know to do more research and ask more questions I have faith in Dr. Nichols. He has surpassed my expectations and I can tell he cares . The staff is WONDERFULL and they are so kind and they are great with follow up! If u care about your pets and want the best care this is your last stop! The place is in a strip mall in the Kroger plaza. The office is clean and very welcoming! It's such a nice touch that when u walk in for your appointment that they welcome your pet by putting a welcome greeting on a chalkboard in view to see as you walk in. read more

I can't even begin to express how thankful I am to the whole team. I brought Kallie and Coco Chanel in earlier this week. It turns out Kallie's kidneys were in bad shape and she was very ill. I really didn't know if she would make it, and everyone there was so warn and kind and nursed her back to health. Dr Dechand, Dr Eller, Whitney, and everyone, I truly cannot thank you enough. We have a Cavachon, Winston, that has been going to Dr. Steve Nichols and staff ever since he was nine weeks old. Thanks to the expertise and friendly, helpful people there, he is now a very healthy 3 1/2 year old. We highly recommend it. It's clean as a whistle. Do not trust these lying crooks. I had signed up for the $30.00 per month plan and I was told that you can cancel at any time. So 5 months go by and I wanted to bring in my other cat. So I called told them who I was so they could look up my information. And I asked does the $30.00 per month cover the checkup for Tigger? I was told it does. So a week later I setup the apt. Then I get a quote for the exam and a rabies vaccine. I called to find out why the exam cost is on there? Then I was told the $30.00 only covers Shadow. I should have been told that when I called not after I setup the apt. Or hire people that know what they are doing. So I canceled the apt then I told them I want to cancel the $30.00 a month. Then I get told you going to owe this money by canceling. So they lie to you tell you that you can cancel at any time. No one told me it was for a certain amount of time. The other lie that I got. When I went to neuter Shadow I was told it's $115.00 to have that done. Setup the apt for that then I get a quote that almost twice the amount. Oh you have to pay for this and that and all this other crap. Another dam lie from these lying thieves. How about be honest with people. Don't tell them one thing and do another. read more

Dr. Nichols was recommended to my parents years ago by family friends. My parents have taken our dog to him for years now and believe he is the best! This year when I moved to Bloomington for school and adopted a dog of my own, I opted to stay with this clinic as my family and friends go here and my dogs previous owners took him here. My dog, Reggie, was diagnosed with prostate cancer right after I got him. Dr. Nichols and his team have been nothing short of a miracle in helping me navigate Reggie's treatment (managing pain). They fit me in on the same day whenever I call with an urgent issue, work with me on what I can afford (I'm a broke college student), and have helped Reggie live a very healthy and active life 5 months after diagnosis and counting! As long as I'm located in the state of Indiana I will make the commute to his office! I would recommend this place to absolutely anyone looking for quality care! read more

My daughter took her 2 guinea pigs there last Mon (7-22-19) to get them check out since she had just gottne the baby one and the older one has a runny nose, but was still acting normal. The vet said the baby was fine but the other one had a respiratory infection, the vet left the room he came back with syringe with (convenia cephovecin) in it. Gave it to the one that was sick and he died 5 day later the vet told us he would be fine after the shot, we googled it and it's not safe for small herbivores (with include guinea pigs and rabbits) or dogs and cats less then 8 weeks. So not only did we drive all the way to Westfield, my daughter spend over $100 to this vets office we have one less family member, if they didn't know how to treat them they should of NEVER tried to, come to find out my daughters friend took her 2 year old Guinea pig there and it passed away with in a week. They need to be held accountable for this and any other pets death's We will be telling everyone we know not to use them period. She will be taking her ONLY guinea pig to another vet( out more money now) to make sure he is fine. Also tried to contact them this morning(7-29-19) to let them know what happen and had to leave a voice mail. WOW read more

Wonderful Vet! I can not say enough wonderful things about these vets and their entire staff. I usually see Dr. Nichols, but have seen the other vets there and they were also wonderful. Our animals can not talk to us, but I trust every single person at this clinic to care for my pets. When my dogs have their teeth cleaned, I receive pictures during the day to show how they are doing. In fact, for any procedure, I receive updates throughout the day. They took wonderful care of my cat when he was ill. Beyond these things (which should be standard practice with any vet, but sadly are not) the clinic seems to truly care. They take any concerns that you might have very seriously. The office is full of knowledgeable staff who can answer any question or point you to the people who can answer that question. And they will load you down with pamphlets if you ask them to. I have shopped around to find the perfect vet's office, and I finally found it. read more
