Wow! Updated reviews are severely needed on this place. The renovation is complete, and boy did they do a nice job. Super modern new look. From the lobby to elevator to rooms everything is now updated and new. They did not renovate the bathtubs, so if you are okay with just a shower ask at check in for a room with just a shower. The rooms are small, but they figured out a way to make it seem spacious. Gotta love those hardwood floors. Don't be surprised if you see a lot of kids as they have many sports teams stay at this location. The front desk staff are very nice and try to accommodate you the best they can with your requests. Not a ton of towels in the room so you may want to ask for a few extra. For the price you can see from the pics that the place is nice. Don't give staying here a second thought. I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for an industry like hotels where I feel like most the reviews are negative. However, this hotel was just not good. The biggest issue was that when we got to our room late at night the shower was not clean. It had a large clump of hair on a shelf and some blood on the floor. We went to bed, got up early, and asked the front desk to please get the room cleaned. When we came back at 8pm the room was untouched. There was no way we could take a shower. The staff weren't good about the issues. They were pretty unsympathetic but they did switch our room. The rooms in general seemed worn, and the hotel is under some construction, which is most noticeable in the elevators. Another big issue was the surprise parking charge of $12 per night. The parking lot is huge, so they have plenty of room, but it's also in the middle of nowhere, so you have no choice but to pay. Not a great surprise on check in. If I could go back in time I would definitely pick another hotel. read more

I drove 24 hours from Georgia to Colorado trying to be a winter storm to see my granddaughter for the first time. When I got to the hotel I was told that my 2-week stay reservation had been canceled because I got there at 5:30 a.m. and was not there by 4:00 a.m. for my reservation that actually started on the 24th not 23rd and was through the 7th . This person named Lynn who said they were the manager was extremely inconsiderate and would not honor what had been reserved for me by Connor who also took my reservation payment deposit for the 14 days I would have been staying at their hotel. The horrible experience I had with Lynn and this hotel actually caused my blood pressure to reach 155/ 110 according to the paramedics that had to come. As I had told Lynn I was completely exhausted and told by Connor that I would just have to go in present my ID and get the room that I had reserved. This did not happen.. I did not get the room I reserved, then Lynn was argumentative to the point of telling me to leave the property and would not contact a higher manager to help with the situation. It escalated to the point where the police paramedics and the fire department were called due to the stress that it caused me. I told Lynn that if they would refund or take the hold off of the funds for my stay I would go somewhere else and Lynn told me to leave the property because I had raised my voice. I'm pretty sure I was completely exhausted and may have raised my voice after being charged $900 to my card and then Lynn canceled my reservation and told me to leave their property which caused me to have had extreme stressful anxiety. All was unnecessary and could have been prevented if they had honored the reservation for my 14-day stay that had been paid by credit card deposit ahead of time. Hopefully the lobby camera recording of the event will help the management of this hotel improve their customer service by removing Lynn from any management responsibilities. Suboptimal experience. Renovation in progress (that I don't think I was made aware of at booking). Might be able to pull off keeping hotel open during major renovation if thoughtful on logistics, comms, ops, etc. This place had none of that. Pool closed. Newly renovated but not up to par for a Marriott. Already showing age. Tub was not replaced during renovation but the contractor spray painted the niced and rusted spots. Had to run the water server a minutes to get hot water. Bed wasn't square on the base. Marriott is removing drawers to store your clothes. They added a bench over the ac unit. Everyone stores their suitcase on this and they all face the windows. When you pull up it looks like a homeless shelter with all the untidiness showing out the windows. There is a new trend in the hotel industry to put vinyl flooring in the rooms but with that comes a huge responsibility to keep the floors clean and swept. This was lacking. unfortunately my stay was disappointing. The most frustrating issue was the shower, which didn't work at all during my visit. It was a basic amenity that was completely unusable, which significantly impacted my comfort.It seems like there was a lack of proper oversight during the renovation or construction process. The hotel clearly could have benefited from hiring a construction inspector to ensure everything was in proper working order before opening to guests. I travel a lot for work & leisure and was in the military for 13 years. The only reason I mention that is to express I can deal with quite a bit of issues in a room when it's just for a couple nights and suck it up. Unfortunately, this was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed at in a long time to include military barracks. Overall - The rooms are incredibly outdated, and the carpet in my first room had multiple blood stains and a stickiness to the carpet. I don't even want to know why & from what that was. Bathroom Area- There was mold around the chalking in the shower, the toilet & Ac/heat unit were very loud and constantly rattling, ( this was also the case in the second room) However in the 1st room the sink near the bathroom would drain very slowly but took over 10 minutes each time i washed my hands. Living area- All the furniture was chipping or damaged with extensive wear & tear and the phone didn't work. The only reason this place even gets two stars was due to the quick response time & empathic customer service that was provided by the night time front desk. When I called requesting something be done for the next couple nights I was staying here she said "oh no that's not right", and moved me to another room within 10 minutes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone until a complete renovation is done & they hire better or more cleaning employees. It's really bad when I've stayed at Red Roof Inns & Motel 8s that felt less disgusting. I expect more out of a Marriott branded hotels & have been a loyal Titanium/Platinum & Gold Bon Voy member for several years. This is especially unacceptable when I'm paying over $150+ per night and an additional cost for parking. After making reservations 5-6 months in advance and arriving at 6:00 . We were told they do not have our room . We were told we needed to stay at a hotel quite far from our conference . This made us miss dinner Basically they gave out room to someone else and apparently cannot honor making reservations in advance . Guess I'll fast till breakfast all the restaurants are closed . The General Manager at this particular hotel OPENLY admits to charging for Service Animals! It doesn't matter if it's just a pet of SERVICE ANIMAL, they will charge you. My service animal is a Federally Registered and flys free and registrated with the FAA. This manager is ABOVE THE LAW! The manager says it states that on their hotel information. It does NOT! Because it is ILLEGAL to charge for an actual service animal. This apparently is an issue that happens a lot at this location as well! This manager NEVER spoke with me.....which means they had the same issue with another guest for the same night!!! This hotel is also disgusting and in SERIOUS need of a renovation! The carpet is a 1960's greenish look. Not to mention frayed as you walk into the bathroom. TRIP HAZARD especially since I'm disabled. This was also supposed to be a rewards stay for a FREE NIGHT to retain a loyal member. This place was EXTREMELY AWFUL. The one thing this place had correct was the breakfast. At a rate of $140 a night WITHOUT rewards for a weeknight rate for this place and then $12 on top for parking! PLEASE..... AVOID THIS PLACE! There are so many better!! Understand the hotel is going through renovations - signs everywhere and very clear. Told we would get a room that was done on the 6th floor. Room did not have a phone and toilet didn't work. Moved to another room down the hall. Room was fine. Only laundry was on the 3rd floor that they were in the middle of renovating. But beware they charge you 12/day for parking - which is not secured and not even nicely paved. The breakfast was ok. 2 stars cuz the front desk staff was nice at least. Somehow SpringHill suites has made it their trademark that all walls are made of toilet paper. Literally all of them have this issue. Combine that with obnoxious loud housekeeping staff that roam the halls from early in the morning until 7-8pm, not a good mix. It's not even cleaning noises. It's like they're just throwing metal at the walls, blasting music and shouting at each other. Gym is a mess. Weight rack with no weights, broken mirrors. Pathetic excuse for a fitness center. WiFi is TERRIBLE. Not only is most of Denver a dead zone, but the WiFi here is somehow worse than the terrible cell reception. Constantly disconnecting, and slower than LTE at its best. Hilariously I was connected to their "enhanced internet" option. What a joke. Breakfast isn't great. Mediocre watery eggs and mushy turkey sausage to start your day. Yum. The whole building is under renovation, desperately needed, yet somehow not changing much judging by the completed areas. It's loud, smells awful, and is even taking place on their rickety elevators. You also will not find out about this until you are already here, it's not mentioned anywhere on their app or website. Staff is hit or miss. Some are great, some have an attitude. The good ones are the only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1. Bottom line- just don't. There are much better options in the area, cheaper AND superior. I stay here semi-frequently and they're currently remodeling. Signage is horrible and the hotel is very dark! They moved the lobby temporarily but where you come in now is scary, unmarked and dark! Then I didn't trust the elevator so I walked to the 3rd floor to my room, room keys didn't work. Ugh! Got a new room on the main floor this time and guess what, the room keys didn't work! Really, how hard is it programming keys? Then I finally got settled and there was no remote! Lots of hassle and four other hotels surround this one; I wish I had picked differently. read more

I work for a corporate travel agency managing a team of customer service agents. I would feel horrible if I did not share my experience at this hotel. I am from the area and would not recommend this property. We received a renovated room that has rust in the tub, red hair from the previous guest and it did not drain. I had to use my own Clorox wipe to wipe down the previous guest finger prints off the refrigerator. The topper for me was the mouse poop I found in the sheets after sleeping in the bed. I grew up on a farm and know what mouse poop looks like and took pictures Needless to say we had scheduled a late check out but left early. I try really hard to not be a hotel snob even though I spend 100+ nights a year in Marriott branded hotels. However, this location is in SERIOUS need of some updating! The rooms are rough. This includes worn and outdated decor, couch, flooring, bathroom, everything. BUT the worst part is the TELEVISION. It seems like a minor thing but it's not anymore. It's VERY small, has just barely above the basic digital television package, and doesn't have internet attached at all. Most roadside inns provide these nearly BASIC amenities. The staff was very friendly so this review is NOT a reflection upon them at all. But it's hard to pay "Marriott prices" and get "Super 8 accommodations". It probably doesn't help the place to have a SHINY new full service Marriott almost literally in their parking lot. It throws the contrast between the two into extreme relief! read more

We stayed here for a hockey tournament during the tail end of Covid and had an awesome experience. The hotel has a great set up, nice pool, plenty of amenities and most importantly a really good staff. If you are looking for a place with large rooms, a pool, close to restaurants and the expressway, laundry facilities, a workout room and clean rooms, this is a great choice. Very dated, needs a new makeover. The swimming pool looks super merky and uninviting. The rooms is slightly better than a motel 6. The EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER showed unprofessionalism and lack of self control in his emotions. When I tell you I got kicked out for no reason other than a grown man with a man bun had his feelings hurt by a situation HE escalated, it's almost laughable! He was able to cause unnecessary drama, call me a bitch(I don't know if this was to provoke me into a different reaction) and get away with it but when I called him a racist that's where he drew the line? no one with actual "authority" wanted to speak with me because it was Sunday, just a housekeeper telling me I was lying about the whole situation(him attempting to push open the door to the room because according to him he can do whatever he wants and enter a room whenever he sees fit) and I was gaslighting him(an overused word for people who can't provide valid points to a disagreement; I don't think he even fully comprehends the definition of that word) and his memory was better than mine(extremely debatable). I have no reason to lie! I have integrity! I am a disabled veteran who served honorably! Even after being allowed to check in just to be kicked out two days later from an extremely small "problem" the HOUSEKEEPER couldn't let go of days prior, but to them I just want to be a "victim" because I'm a disabled veteran? It's clear this GROWN MAN is bored and his management doesn't seem to care about my side of the story because I was not able to speak to anyone when it mattered; believe the other reviews when they say their rooms were not clean properly and management lacks professionalism making rules up as they go. I suggest taking pictures of your rooms when staying there as well so you don't get charged for anything. The cleanliness really is a reflection of the EXECUTIVE housekeeper! Trash! I have never been one to complain and just eat the situation but this one was appalling and embarrassing!! The only good thing that came out of it is me having to stay at the Marriott, practically next door to SpringHill, which was not a punishment at all. The staff and hotel there was and is 100x better than this place. You definitely get what you pay for! read more

House keeping is Nonexistent...even if you opt to have your room cleaned don't expect it. Dirty rooms in which the bathrooms aren't cleaned. Only one elevator works and it's the slowest thing ever!! 6th floor is pure mildew smell. Breakfast is served every morning but really nothing too crazy to comment. Typical hotel food. Cleanliness isn't something they really strive for. First room we got smelled like an ash tray and wasn't the room we'd reserved anyway. Second room had an off odor but nothing you couldn't get used to. The pull out was about as comfortable as a sack of potatoes. If you need more pillows or towels that's not an option you want either. Lost an earbud and when we called to ask if housekeeping found it they weren't even a little helpful. She said go to an independent website and look around (lost my stuff.com). The Westin is right down the road and a minimal amount more. Staying here is a mistake I won't make again. I wish I could give less that one star! read more

This hotel is rather dated with rusty drains, sticky table tops, and old furniture. My bathroom light was not working when I checked into my room, which made shaving quite difficult. My TV remote was not working. The wall had peeling paint and the carpet was stained. There were other issues with this place as well, which made this stay feel more like a motel experience. Dated old hotel with poor maintenance. Only common areas have been updated. Room needed pillows and sheets for sleeper bed, had to ask a few times, finally had to go down get them myself. Ants in the bathroom Zero Covid precautions at this hotel !! Hand Santizer are empty.. What they say and do are two different things... IF YOU HAVE SMALL KIDS, DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS COVID IS NOT A CONCERN. Breakfast buffet says until 9am, but by 820am they are out of food. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The staff is incredible! The shared areas on the first floor are clean and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the rooms are the problem. Lots of areas in the bathroom are barely patched together, the toilet won't stop running, the beds are extremely uncomfortable and I can't even begin to guess how old the pull out couch is. My biggest concern is the cleanliness of the rooms. I think the one expectation many of us have, especially during Covid, is a well cleaned room. That was not the case in our experience. The hallway smells of cat litter, there's food on drawers, a dirty tub and stained bed covers. The disgustingness of the covers makes me concerned for the cleanliness of the mattress I'm sleeping on. Yuck! I think it's time for management to focus on the condition of everything above the first floor. read more

This location is A-OK. I had no negatives to report and nothing that particularly blew me away either. I received exactly what I was expecting and wanted. The check-in was friendly and efficient. The room was large, well decorated and also clean enough. There is a kitchenette that is convenient if you are there for a longer stay. The free breakfast was better than average and about what you would expect for free. The overall price for value at the Springhill Suites was fair. The location was great, not too far from the highway, and off the main road to be reasonably quiet. I stayed here versus a more expensive Westin when I was in town to attend an event at that Westin. Nope. Can't recommend staying here due to the grinding A/C unit they said they fixed and sounds fine. It does not sound fine, it sounds possessed by evil. I literally had a psychotic episode being woken up routinely in the night, to where I left my bed, stuffed ear plugs in my ears (could still hear it), and slept horrifically on the crunchy couch. Ew. We had to abandon our next night reservation because of the ferociously noisy air conditioner - it pulsed and whirred and clanked all night. I couldn't handle the noise because I was so tired from a long day of flying, forever to shuttle from the airport during rush hour, then working a conference to get woken up by a growling A/C unit (couldn't turn it off, it was too hot and muggy outside). We did get our next night stay refunded since we moved hotels to the Denver Marriott Westminster where he had a lovely nights' rest. Springhill said they fixed it but it didn't sound fixed and actually got worse with the intermittent pulsing and crunching. It was awful. Plus the stains on the carpet and long hairs left over by previous guests (shiver). There are other rooms that have been upgraded, so you could get lucky in one of those. If we would've been told by the morning clerk that they were sold out and wouldn't be able to move us if they couldn't fix the A/C, we would've checked out that morning instead and eliminated the hassle of switching hotels at 6pm (but it worked out at the Marriott). Bless the hearts of the clerks, I used to be one back in my day, but that didn't make up for the horrendous lask of sleep. read more

Rooms are filthy, amenities are awful, service is just as bad. Dirty shower heads and drains, nasty smells, stains on carpets, substances on the counters... just repulsive. I called the front desk for room service and was advised they have no food in the building besides vending machines. I was told that there is a menu in my room with restaurant options for delivery... I looked around my room and did not see a menu in any drawers, I called back and was told "we have them down here". No offer to help, or bring me the menu. Went down and was barely spoken to. I just got back from Florida, so my expectations are pretty low for a hotel room. I had a 1 star review for that "resort". Not blown away... which was depressing, because I expect more from a Marriot location. First of all, it's dumb, but they have to go to a back room to get my keys... not sure why that bugged me, but it was odd. The chairs in the waiting area are covered in stains. It was not really inviting to sit in them When I got my room, I was annoyed to see a giant stain on my floor. The beds were clean and comfy, but just the TV was sketchy. It only worked if you put it in just the right position. I skipped breakfast, so I can't comment on that, but the fact they had it, is pretty cool. All in all, not a horrible hotel, just felt like they didnt care as much as some of the other Marriot properties I have stayed at. read more

We spent $200 on steak and lobster for their "outdoor grill." Problem is, the maintenance man was "too busy" to fill the propane tank. So, that food went bad. $200 down the drain. Next morning, i went down for complimentary breakfast, and got mobbed by staff asking what my room number was, as if i was here to steal food. That SERIOUSLY pissed me off, as we've paid them like... at LEAST $1000 so far? So make sure you don't wear your hat too low, or have long hair, or sag your pants. And know that the "outdoor grill" they advertise is only if they feel like they have time for you. I can't IMAGINE how they treat black folks. I'm probably getting the "nice" version of their service. I can safely say I've never been treated with this amount of negligence and disrespect in my life, as a customer/guest/someone spending money. There are other hotels around the corner. Everything is clean. Breakfast is decent. Maintenance is great.
