I can't believe this hotel still charges separate for overnight parking and wifi access. The hotel has a lounge that allows those who visit it to park for free taking alot of the parking spaces making it hard for hotel guests to find parking. Hotel overall was okay but not worth the price for a view of a roof. Stayed recently at another hotel in the near proximity and that hotel did not charge for parking or wifi, parking was much easier, they had a great complimentary breakfast, staff was much more friendly, and room views much better. Recommend you look at other properties in the vicinity before staying here. read more

Ranks as the worst Bonvoy property I have stayed in. Run down in the common areas and the rooms, sad looking gym and restaurant, indifferent staff. They nickle and dime guests: $25 fee to check in before 4 pm, $12 to park in a lot in the middle of a suburban retail area with literally no competition for parking. It literally should not have the Marriott name. There are a half dozen other hotels nearby, so suggest to look at those first. read more

I stayed there in November 2024 with my family. We ate lunch at the hotel restaurant and was overcharged twice! I have been trying to recover my money for the past 2 1/2 months. I have sent them documentation to show the charges. I've been trying to speak to a corporate client relations manager. I asked numerous times for the contact information and I've been ignored. Shout out to Noah and G for their persistence in resolving an engineering problem with one of our rooms the first week of October 2022. Shout out to Marriott management for ultimately resolving issues we encountered with one of our rooms in a fair manner to its guests. I am a Marriott Bonvoy loyalty member and I've stayed in a number of Marriott hotels over the decades. This hotel lives up to the expectations within the price point to value ratio for this category of lodging. Our rooms were extremely clean and the staff was friendly. Our dinner meals from Tiller's were delicious. Sadly, the night we were there, the bartenders had to overwork and hustle due to a shortage of staff and a large business/leisure crowd: I stood for about 40 minutes waiting for my take out order and watched how stressed the bartenders were in meeting the demands but kept everything rolling. Our morning breakfasts tasted yummy and were quickly prepared with fewer customers. The chefs in this onsite restaurant are amazing! read more

I usually stay at the Westin Westminster but decided to give this place a try. The exterior, interior and the grounds are well kept and very clean. Plenty of free parking onsite. The lobby is light and bright, and a nice fireplace in the lobby next to the bar. The hotel entrance is secured with key card access after 10 pm (I think). Good sized gym with plenty of equipment, and open 24 hours. There is an indoor lap pool, and an outdoor jacuzzi that closes at 11 pm. If you are a Marriott gold or platinum elite member, there is a lounge that is all the way in the back of the bar and restaurant, that has a happy hour from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm with free hors d'oeuvres . The lounge is stocked with 2 coolers full of water and soft drinks, an AWESOME coffee/expresso/cappuccino machine. The rooms are clean and bright, the beds are plush. Internet is about $10, or free if you are an elite member. The hotel is walking distance to the Target for any grocery shopping, across the street from The Shops at Walnut Creek where you can find a Panera Bread, BJ's Restaurant, and Bonefish Grill. It is also a block away from the Westminster Promenade where you can find Rock Bottom Brewery, AMC Theaters, and Dave & Busters. The hotel management do read the "after stay" surveys and I got a quick response back from the general manager addressing a minor issue. All in all, I would definitely return again! read more

This hotel was very clean and decorated nicely. Our room was nice, only needed to be stocked with more towels. They only stocked two for a room that sleeps 4. The pool was a little over chlorinated, but clean and at a great temperature. Stocked with towels and quiet for a nice family swim. My biggest complaint was both elevators going down at the same time, but they were able to get one back up within a couple hours and the other was working the next morning. read more

Holy smokes we had a great time at the Denver Marriott Westminster! We unfortunately stayed a couple doors down at the Springhill Suites the night before and had to abandon our next night reservation because of the ferociously noisy air conditioner - it pulsed and whirred and clanked all night. I think I went psychotic because I was so tired from a long day of flying then working a conference to get woken up by a growling A/C unit (couldn't turn it off, it was too hot and muggy outside). They couldn't fix the unit and were sold out of rooms to move us, so we took a chance on not getting our room charge refunded (we didn't get back until 6) and walked outside to find another place to stay. Anyway, this isn't a review about Springhill, but I want to set the stage. Next door was sold out, so we had low expectations for the Marriott. Nancy Luna greeted us sweetly and listened to our plight. She didn't promise anything, but thought there could be one room that was barely released because someone accidentally booked two rooms but only needed one. After waiting 5 minutes for her to go check with management, she came down the hall with a big smile and two thumbs up! We got a room and not at premium pricing (my husband is a Bonboy member), so it was even better news than expected! Dinner was on our mind, and we anticipated taking an Uber downtown to a favorite restaurant, but had felt beaten up by the day and fiasco next door that we decided to eat on property. Again, wasn't disappointed! Fabian (I hope I remembered his name right) gave us thoughtful suggestions, not the standard upselling or what the chef told him to say to patrons (which is fine, but we appreciated honesty and it paid off!) Everythinf we had was delicious, flavorful, and much better hotel food than we've had in a very long time! Our compliments to the chef! Dinner was such a great experience that we opted for breakfast in the morning. It wasn't as impressive, being a buffet of standard faire plus omelet station. The eggs were wrong somehow (missing ingredients and sliced cheese laid on top instead of shredded sprinkled throughout each bite), but plenty of options plus fresh fruit. And it was ready when we got there, so no waiting. Our room was fresh, clean, quiet, cool (muggy July), and oh so comfortable. Refused to accommodate someone with an injury with a couple extra minutes to check out while waiting for a caddy (that she refused to try and help find one, but her manager seemed to try and find one). As soon as you walk in people are there to help you and they genuinely want to help. The lobby is nice, clean and fresh and the design has a welcoming feel to it. The bar is large and open and the bartender is very fast and more than capable to knock out anything you desire. The restaurant is great for breakfast and holding a breakfast meeting is something the staff gets and knows how to work around. They are there when you need them and step back while business is being done. There are plenty of restaurants in the area so food is not an issue but feel free to dine in as the food is above what you might think of when you think hotel food. The rooms are perfect and will guaranty a good nights sleep. A great place to stay when you are in this area. read more

We had the entire wedding party and family stay here and went through Katheryn. Each step of the process was made super easy and was invited out numerous times to tour the facility before we actually signed the contract. On the day that we made it out to Westminster, Katheryn was off that day but Kelly took care of us that day and gave us the grand tour. Katheryn made the suggestion of making gift bags for the guests that checked in and that was a great idea. It was a conversation piece during everyone's stay. Also a huge shoutout to Brett and Jordan downstairs at Tiller's Kitchen and Bar. On the night of the wedding, they made arrangements to stay open until 2AM since that is the limit for the state of Colorado. We lasted until 1:40AM so almost but not quite! The kitchen staff in the mornings was wonderful as well! Everything from the front desk, to Katheryn and Kelly taking care of everything and finally Brett and Jordan. You guys made this a memorable stay and we look forward to highly recommending this location for any potential guests. We just stayed at this property while in town for a hockey tournament. It was the chosen team hotel. What a difference a year makes. Last year we were just a few miles away at the Residence Inn, which I hated. This year's trip was much more like it. I don't know how old the Marriott Westminster is, but it feels and looks pretty new, everything is modern and clean and well kept. There is a nice bar/lounge area with fireplaces and good drinks. Our rate included a breakfast buffet every morning and it was always good and hot. We also had a nice dinner in the hotel restaurant. Get the Brussels sprouts - they're spicy and so good. There are six floors here, we were in 405, which was a "suite" which really only meant that we had robes and a fridge, but the room was pretty small. Our kids had a standard room and our room wasn't really any different than our kids' room, size wise. Still nice though. The staff was helpful and accommodating with everything we needed, except one of the bartenders was not cool at all. She was only cool to the men in the group and rude as hell to the women. (That might work sometimes honey, but some of those men are attached to women and if you're rude to them, it comes back around on your tip. Just be nice to everyone and it's a win/win.) We had a sometimes loud and rowdy group, and spent a fair amount of time playing cards in the M Lounge (concierge lounge) and the staff were always nice to us in there even when we were a little bit loud. I'd be happy to stay at this hotel again in the future and there are plenty of places to eat right across the street, along with a Target and a movie theater. (Try the Asian fusion place called East Moon.) read more

I can only attest to the building, outside and in, and the conference rooms due to the fact I was here for business, but I did not stay in a room. The lot itself is really kept up nicely right off us highway 36. Can't miss it, even though there are plenty of hotels bunched together. The big conference room, which held our group of about 250 people, was beautiful. It was an all day conference and they kept us fed throughout very nicely. Prior to the meeting at 830, there were plenty of breakfast items available (yogurt, fruit, toast and bagels). The staff was very accomdating and kept the food fresh and full the entire time-really impressed! Lunch they served us tacos, but had cooked Spanish rice, poblano chicken, mahi mahi and all the basic toppings. So instead of cooking ground beef, they definitely tried to show off and it worked. Mid afternoon they offered cookies. Overall, the staff was accomdating to alot of people our group brought in, if the rooms are even decent, this is a good stay. read more

We went to the Bar/restaurant for a holiday happy hour with a few co-workers. We live locally and have a choice of many nice places, but had decided the Marriott has a festive environment. We were very disappointed in the service, the staff was not very friendly and were argumentative about the bill which of not correct. Sadly next year we will pick another place. read more

Stayed here for one night. The lobby was nice and I heard the hotel was fairly new. However in morning I found blood on the back of my pillowcase. I went down and told the front desk what I found and stated it was on the back, so it could not be mine (besides the fact there was no blood on me). They said they were really sorry and sent a housekeeper to give us a new pillow case. Considering we were gathering our things to check out that's useless to us. I would not recommend anyone staying there, try the Westin across the street. read more

Quality Marriott stay. The rooms were comfy and afforded a nice view. The beds were fluffy and down right heavenly. The staff were friendly and helpful but note I am not counting the restaurant staff in that group. They were graded under the restaurant itself and were nonexistent. The pool and spa were fine. Not very big but served its purpose. The gym was good size and served all the needs I had. The concierge room for gold/platinum members was very nice and they had the most amazing hot beverage machine that I wish I had in my home. The food offered in the lounge was fine but they need to better arrange its location as the meat and cheese board are on the central table where others sit, which makes it difficult for others to get to. Overall, a nice Marriott that I would visit again. read more

The hotel would have been excellent except YOU COULD NOT GET THE AC/HEATER TO NOT BLOW AIR CONSTANTLY - even when "off". This led to both of us having sore throats and verifying that this was not the case in every other hotel we stayed at. We wound up running over to the Target across the street and buying 2 travel humidifiers. The vent is pointed right at the bed as well. It was cold outside and the room, even with the AC on was still warmer than we would have liked. The doors are impossible to close quietly. We tried to be courteous to our surrounding guests, but you cannot twist the handle down on the outside of the door to assure a quieter closing. The staff was hit or miss. Those that were great were superb! The beds were comfy enough. The outside hot tub was nice and since it was cold outside, we had it to ourselves. The lobby is pretty and inviting. If the two issues mentioned above were fixed, we'd totally stay again. It is very conveniently located - close to the highway but not close enough for road noise, and in-between Denver and Boulder. read more

The staff is great and friendly if you need anything. Not impressed with the concierge, especially being on the first floor behind the restaurant. Typically at any concierge you need gold or higher, your key to access and is attended by an amazing staff member to make sure it stays serviced and stocked at all times during service hours. This one left me wanting for more. There was rarely food during service hours and what was provided wasn't typically very good & there was always dirty plates and silverware laying around. The only thing that was great was I could come and go anytime to get water or coffee or granola bars which help during my long busy work days. Nice hotel, nice room. However.... NO microwave or fridge in the room.... i can understand microwave... but WHO doesnt bring drinks back to room?? Subpar. Also, lesser hotels offer FREE breakfast. I called down to the front desk asking if they had breakfast, and they said yes... yes is correct, breakfast for sale in the restaurant, Tillers. Since we already sat down and ordered drinks, 3.50 for diet coke, 4.00 for a chocolate milk, we looked at the menu. 15 bucks for pancakes??? Seriously??? We already in it for drinks, so we ordered a 7.00 yogurt parfait.... total bill 1450, plus i tipped the waitress 4 bucks. Almost 20 bucks for 2 drinks and a yogurt parfait. REALLY????? Its NO SURPRISE that the restaurant, at 10AM, was completely empty pretty much. Would i stay again? NO... NO, ill find a cheaper hotel that has a FRIDGE in the room... And sorry, but even Quality Inn offers free breakfast.... read more

While we have stayed at this hotel several times, I think this last stay was our last straw. The housekeeping in this establishment is sub par for a business Marriott hotel chain. I was saying to my husband that I feel like taking a wax pencil and circling all the dirty marks in the room and in the hotel itself. The elevator is terribly marred up with disgusting gunk and it has been there every day for the last 7 days. Our doorknob into our bathroom looks like it was caked in wasabi, yes I said wasabi.. I was afraid to close it or touch the knob. For 2 days we did not get service. My husband called after the second time to speak to the general manager about this property. We are still waiting for a call back.. whomever the general manager is, a note left in our room with 2 Dove chocolate bars that were probably worth .50 cents each is not a consolation prize, it is insulting. Also ladies and gentlemen, please be careful of the safe. We put our items in the safe and closed the door,locked it with a code of our choice. I closed the closet door and two minutes later I heard a pop. I opened the closet door, and to my surprise the safe popped open and a flashing code of BATTERY was flashing. We had to call down and have engineering come to our room to service the safe. So we had to take our valuables with us as we had an appointment and couldn't wait for engineering. The first impression of a hotel is one of the most important elements for guests of a property. They have a front corner door at the entrance of the hotel, right in the front where there is a smattering of smokers standing by the front door smoking their cigarettes. There is 2 trash cans out front and this is what we walk by every day. Please, for the love of your guest that do not smoke, make a smoking area with an ashtray for people to use instead of having to rely on using the front of the hotel for all the smokers to use. My husband is allergic to smoke and we do not like walking by and having to be in someone's exhale of cigarette odor. My hair smelt fresh and clean and having to walk by this cloud of germ infested exhaled smoke, my hair and my clothes reeked like ciggies all day. For a business hotel, please,please, please, work the Marriot Mormon way and keep it clean. General Manager, do your job or there are a lot of people that would love to have your job. Take a moment and look at the ciggy trash can and this will show you the representation of your hotel. UPDATE: After three days of trying, which included a fairly long conversation with Corporate, the hotel finally credited back the double-charge. So, I'll add a couple of stars to my rating. No updates to share about the kiddie pee, however. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I booked a room here through a travel site and paid in advance. On checkout, the desk clerk tried to charge me for the room on the card I'd provided for incidentals. I called him on it, he apologized for the mistake, and wished me safe travels. I opened my credit card statement the other day, and lo and behold, they'd charged me anyway.  The accounting manager is now dodging my phone calls. I've reported the incident to Marriott Corporate and filed a dispute with my bank, but I want everyone who's considering this hotel to know there are scammers at the Westminster Marriott, and caution them to keep looking.  And since we're talking, be careful about using the pool if you're still thinking you'll book a room here. They rent it out to a group that gives swimming lessons to little bitty kids. You and I both know what little bitty kids do in swimming pools. I asked if they throw in an extra dose of chlorine afterwards to deal with all the kiddie pee, and they looked at me like I was speaking an alien tongue.  So: Double charges and kiddie pee. 4 stars because of the follow up by the staff and management, otherwise, it would have been 2 or 3 due to the disturbances. A wedding party was out of control (or family reunion) on our high floor, and for some reason, the on duty staff at the time couldn't do anything about it (or wouldn't), and the front desk agent wasn't at all caring about it when we left. Thankfully, the management proactively contacted me within 24 hours, and it was resolved to beyond my true expectations within 72 hours, which included a holiday. The room and bed were super comfortable, parking was free and easy, and it's easy to find and get to and from the highway. We will stay here again. I truly believe that Lucas is a great manager for this property. read more

Ive stayed in many Marriotts in my time (Approx 250 nights a year, for 8 years). I stayed at this Marriott because I was attending the Sam Smith concert that night. The hotel is gorgeous.
