I was initially greeted by Luisa who had a great smile a warm introduction. t That morning. Miss Jackie assisted me with getting another room when I discovered that the tub was totally dirty and the general Ali had the nerve to tell me that he would bathe in that dirty tub. I was so turned off. However, he did accommodate me with a new room and comped me for the night. Beatrice was extremely warm and welcoming while picking up from the airport and Alicia was my favorite favorite favorite person out of all of them. We great conversation and she gave me a lot of suggestions and recommendations on places to go. Miss Elisa was extremely nice and took me to a rooftop bar - Diablo for my birthday where I feel safe enough to celebrate. If they give you Rm 317 with 2 queen beds - wait for another room. Its decent but beds are horrible which is the worse thing about not being able to sleep good. I was initially supposed to get a king room, but they wouldn't have one for another hour or so. I agreed to a room with 2 queen beds. Normally, Marriott Brand hotels have the most comfortable beds. It was just me in the room, I did try both beds. They were terrible. Felt like boards underneath the mattress pad. The bed near the window- you could hear the creak of the bed just by pressing on it with you hand. I did try to lay on it, but it was worse. Every night I had the worst sleep and could hardly get out of bed, my back hurt so bad. 3 days after checking out I'm still taking ibuprofen and icing and having to use heating pad. 2nd note, there is free breakfast. I only made waffle bc it was hot food. The eggs and sausage were not good. The bacon was just red and uncooked- not sure if they just put in microwave for 2 minute but looked like a pile of red worms. Only had coffee 1x. My co/workers and I stopped at a coffee shop after we had breakfast that day. Next day we didn't have time. I just didn't want any coffee from the hotel. read more

We stayed here for business. It's a good location. We could walk to eat at plenty of restaurants. There's every cuisine you could wish for within a mile radius. Sushi, Mexican, American, Italian, even African. There's also several museums within walking distance. The ASU campus is a block away. Chase Field is half a mile away. You can take a 10-20 minute drive to see lots of different attractions- the zoo, parks, botanical gardens, trails, etc. There is a free shuttle but it only takes you within a 2 mile radius. There are a few homeless people around, as with most downtowns. The breakfast is the same as every Marriott. This is a no frills hotel. The pool is very small, and we never used it. The rooms are clean and comfortable but nothing fancy. We had a nice view of the mountains and Chase Field from our window. read more

I stayed at this hotel for a work trip and had a great experience. Easy to check in to the hotel, free breakfast, and large rooms. It was just me in the hotel, but having the couch area was nice for when I had my coworkers over to my room. The room was clean, bathroom had good water pressure, and I didn't have any wifi issues. My only complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable. I really don't ever notice the beds, but this one was just hard and flat. I even tried sleeping on the other mattress the 2nd night, but they were the same. It just felt like a cot and my back was sore the next day. Otherwise having hot coffee and yogurt, fruit, etc. first thing in the morning in the lobby was great. I went for a run around the hotel area in the morning and it was nice and felt safe. Convenient location to the Children's museum where I was working an event. I liked this hotel, but would try another one next time if I had the option due to the uncomfortable bed. read more

My family just concluded a three-day stay at the hotel. **Positives:** This hotel is animal-free; no pets are allowed. This is wonderful since we all have allergies and asthma. That was the reason we chose this hotel. The room was extremely clean, and we never had a problem with allergies whatsoever. Additionally, there is free parking on-site. The location of the hotel is great. **Cons:** The hotel shop does not sell tampons (which upset my daughter). One of the three days in the cafeteria, the trash cans were full and some of the food was empty. We arrived at 8:45 AM and were there for half an hour. They never restocked any of the items or emptied the trash cans. Also, on Sunday, the TV played an evangelistic minister. Many people in the cafeteria complained because they wanted sports recaps. I don't go to a hotel to be proselytized. All said, I would return here again because it is pet-free. Marriott, you should consider adding a feature to your reservation system that allows me to easily find hotels that do not allow pets. This change would benefit my business and that of other allergy sufferers. read more

I am in love with the Marriott Bonvoy family. First, Florida now Arizona was my second stay at a hotel within their portfolio. Lea gave us such a warm welcome upon arrival and a thorough overview of the amenities, including the free shuttle van which would transport us into downtown Phoenix during our stay and the airport upon checkout. The hotel also offered a map of their two-mile shuttle van service area that also highlighted local spots to check out for food and entertainment. Extra points for that guide alone! As New Yorkers, we often found ourselves navigating around on foot or by public transportation (light rail and bus). When we did hail a ride, each driver was courteous and engaged us in conversation. We loved the diversity of the staff. You cannot beat a hot breakfast, which varied slightly each day and was a great way to start our day. The handy toaster and the waffle maker were a hit. My go-to's were the eggs, waffles (of course), pastries, and the classic PB&J. I was not a fan of the OJ, but the water was always refreshing and comparable in taste to NYC water. Thank goodness! We loved our spacious suite, the comfortable Queen-size bed and couch, two television screens, kitchenette, and sinks separated from the bathroom. No need to wait to get dolled up in the morning when you can take turns in and out of the shower. Their 12 P.M. checkout time meant we could sleep in a bit, another bonus. The small hotel shop was helpful if you're in a bind but I wish it was larger to also accommodate souvenirs. We went on quite a scavenger hunt to find local gifts for the family. There is a parking lot, parking, for free, free at this downtown phoenix hotel! I have stayed in this area several times... parking is awful. Often your hotel doesn't even have its own parking lot, so you have to park in random, sometimes sketchy lots. You are on the outskirts of downtown, so you'll have to walk about 15 minutes to get to the good spots, but totally worth it! Tons of amazing food to discover. The hotel check in was easy, fast. Hotel is clean. Elevator is on the old side, it is very slow, but that's my only complaint. I did notice some cameras around the building, which I appreciate a little sense of security. Late night wanted some snacks so we went to their little selection. My argument would be no allergy friendly items there. I could have gotten some fruit snacks lol but I really wanted something like chips or muffin. Room was spacious, comfortable. And clean. Microwave and fridge. Even has a west elm couch! So not sure about the person complaining about "crappy" old furniture. Quiet too! We faced the front street and didn't hear the cars or traffic over the lovely sounding fan. It wasn't until morning that I heard a few of the neighbors heavy doors slam shut, and by that time I was ready to wake up. So based on reviews, my expectations were low for breakfast, especially on a Sunday morning....... Almost every table was taken, but it wasn't busy, no lines for things, everything was fully stocked... AND thank you for including gluten free muffins. Marriott needs to step up their free gift for gold members! The free water is nice and all, but you should add a chocolate bar or idk a little something to feel more gold member. I also it's not just this hotel, but all of them in the area, raised their prices to a ridiculous high, I can only assume because of spring training??! ... rooms average $200.... It's absolutely shameful for a large corporation to rob a small business. A business event I was to attend in Phoenix was cancelled, Marriott refuses to change the reservation or offer any refund or points. The "promotional" rate they're talking about in the message below wasn't even that good. If anything, I'd call it a "predatory" rate. Shame on you, do better. This location has told the corporate office they refuse to refund, credit, or reschedule my account. Excellent location and great value. I've stayed at other Springhill locations and this particular property was by far more comfortable and clean. Check in was efficient and only took mere minutes. I was assigned a 6th floor room right next to the elevator. The room was spacious and furnished with West Elm furniture. All surfaces were spotless. The room was absolutely clean. The bed was perfectly made and pillows neatly arranged. Bathroom was also spotless. I was a little concerned with noise being next to the elecatorbut my room was actually very quite. This property has some decent amenities. The breakfast is convenient and recommend coming early to avoid the crowds. Staff is always nice and even greets the guests. There's even an airport shuttle service. Overall, I would definitely stay at this property again. read more

Amazing check in with Brett who was so polite and friendly. He was interested, held a great conversation, as very engaging, and explained everything in detail. He asked if we had questions and all this was in a timely fashion. He made sure we were comfortable just off the encounter with him alone I would stay here when I come back to town. The rooms are great, clean, enough pillows and multiple beds so my children do not have to sleep on top of each other. There is a fridge and microwave and we are super close to the elevators. The bed is so soft almost reminds me of my home. Love this location and love that they provide make up wipes and a make up towel how many times do you feel horrible as a woman wiping your face on their white towels. Decided to book this hotel on a quick getaway since the Angels was in town to play the Diamondbacks. I'm glad I chose this hotel since its walking distance to Chase Stadium/Footprint Center and Downtown Phoenix. They offer shuttle service right when you arrive at the airport. Simply call the hotel and they will tell you where to go so that you can be picked up. The shuttle also will take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel at the bottom of the hour. The top half of the hour is to and from the airport. Parking is avaliable for those who are driving at check in. They were nice enough to accomadate my early check in request. The availabitly on this varies. There is a complimentary continental breakfast daily from 630-900 am. I was here for 3 days and apperciate each day they had a different meat protein. There is also a waffle maker, muffins, toast, yogurt, bagels, fruits,egg whites, whole eggs, juice, and coffee. Room was clean and AC worked well. If you stay there multiple days, housekeeping comes every other day. From staff at the front desk, houskeeping, to the shuttle drivers everyone was nice and helpful if you had any questions. I would recommend this hotel for those anyone coming in for a Baseball Game, Basketball, Concert near downtown phoenix. Though its walkable distance I advise you to not do this during summer lol. Had to book a room for the night as our flight was cancelled due to the whole Southwest fiasco. Price was fair for the quality and location of the property and parking was included (a rarity for downtown). Employee was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. Room itself was nice and the beds were comfy. Location is close to the I-10 and to downtown, uptown, midtown, central Phoenix. The only downside was the HVAC system didn't seem to work very well on the AC side as it was stuffy at night. The walls are also paper thin so we could hear people in the other room most notably when the toilet was flushing. Breakfast was decent and filling. Overall the property was very clean and room was comfortable. The only items that kept me from rating it five stars were mentioned above. read more

In a central location for a fair price, this was a great hotel to stay at! I'd stay here again! ROOM: The room was nice, clean and spacious with a decent view. There are a lot of TV channels (Hallmark for those warm feels), a microwave, a table for 2, a pull-out sofa bed, an ottoman for 2 and the shower includes large bottles of shampoo/body wash and conditioner. COMPLIMENTARY AMMENITIES: There is a pool and a gym. I only used the gym which served its purposes. Clorox wipes were available and a sign to wipe all equipment down when you use it - unsure if that happened because there was brown grime on the Clorox wipes I used post-cleaning. There is also a hot water/coffee/tea station which I very much appreciate (green tea + honey = comfort)! I stayed at the Springhill for a convention nearby. As a Marriott member, it was the best choice for me. The hotel was just like all the other Marriotts on this level. Comfortable beds, nice pool area, good views of downtown. The included breakfast was a nice bonus, but it was not one of the best included Marriott breakfasts that I've had. The only hot cooked options were eggs and 1 type of meat each day. Another complaint is that the air conditioning unit in my room was obnoxiously loud. Even after turning off the fan option, it continued to go. When turning on constant fan, it still kicked off! So annoying and made it hard to sleep my first night. stayed overnight to catch a Dodger game with the boy. good location, about 2.5 blocks from the downtown hooters and 3.5 blocks from Chase Field. don't be fooled though... 115 degrees makes walking pretty gnarly. the staff were very pleasant to deal with. they gave us extra towels for the pool at check in. if you have a Marriot App, you can use your phone as a key. the pool is basic, but, quite warm. the room was clean and there were no issues with the sheets. AND the AC worked wonderfully. albeit, was very noisy. good space in the room, which includes a mini fridge and microwave. they had soap and shampoos but no lotion. the continental breakfast was very limited and packed to go for you. overall, nice place. price point was biggest factor and this spot met our needs. read more

Absolutely appalling service and blatant gaslighting. I booked a late checkout and was repeatedly disturbed by housekeeping at 9:30 AM, despite a "Do Not Disturb" sign and door latch. After complaining, I received a dismissive response from management claiming their staff is "trained" not to do this. No accountability, no apology, just a complete disregard for guest experience. 2 stars during our stay (some of the Covid restrictions don't seem to make sense). The location is convenient, near Roosevelt row where you can find plenty of restaurants and walk around to enjoy lots of wonderful street art. Our room was spacious with a sofa and a desk a little further form the bed. There is also a fridge and a microwave but you have to ask if you want a coffee machine because of Covid. I am totally for being safe but some of these rules don't seem to make much sense to me. Also for safety reasons, the lobby is totally closed, not even one chair available to seat on. Seriously, does the hotel management realize the restaurants are open? How unsafe can it be to seat in a lobby with a mask on? As expected, and like in most hotels these days breakfast is to go. Totally acceptable, but I wonder if this place is actually trying to save money using Covid as an excuse. That breakfast is simply ridiculous, from the chewy bagel to the canned pieces of fruit. I wonder how many of all these rules are really for safety and how many are actually to try to save money taking advantage of the pandemic while they can. Because, rooms don't get cleaned, breakfast is limited, etc, but clients still pay the same price. White lady with the red hair was rude she judged us saying we need a key card to open the door to get in since the sliding doors close at a certain time past 10pm obviously we knew that before coming in. Then proceeded to tell us off that we need a key card to get in!? Like yea dumbass obviously we need the key that's why we're calling in to open to get it? So far my stay has been pretty nice. The lady that helped me check in was very kind and professional. As a gold rewards member, I was able to get into my room early, which was greatly appreciated since I had an early morning flight. This location isn't far from downtown and there are a ton of restaurants close by. if you feel like getting your steps in, then they are within walking distance. Otherwise, they may be a short 10 minute drive. As always, the beds are super comfortable and the hotel it is pretty quiet. read more

It was a crazy night for traveling there were about 7 people in line before me checking in at 1am due to flight cancellations for weather (rain and thunderstorms) the front desk guy did a great job checking people in as fast as her could. He stayed calm and friendly even with not the most friendly of customers. The room had a bit of a musty smell and the counters in the bathrooms were wet which was weird but I was so tired I didn't even care at that point. The room never got super cold but it was manageable. I would definitely recommend the hotel if you need it for easy downtown or airport access. read more

Nothing fancy sketchy location. Is close to walking to east side of downtown. We stayed for a ball game and the stadium is a 12 minute walk. Really disappointed that the breakfast area wasn't stocked at 8:45. They must just let it run out as it approaches 9 a.m. People were still coming in to eat but everything was picked thru and the place was dirty. For $200 a night you'd expect better. Tip request an odd room number if you chose to stay as the even numbers face a busy/loud street. read more

Solid location in walking distance to the convention center and Chase Field. There are plenty of nearby restaurants - they gave us a map which was really nice. If you need a convenience store, the worlds sketchiest Circle K is 2 blocks up. (Shout out to the crackhead who tried to sell 2 ladies men's shoes in the parking lot). My room was clean and comfortable, with a good quality bed (especially nice after a few lumpy beds recently). I faced the street, but had no issues at all with noise. Free WiFi that worked "ok" and free breakfast - also "ok". Expect scrambled eggs and some sort of meat product plus oatmeal, yogurt and a waffle maker. There's an airport shuttle but it only goes hourly - otherwise an Uber is around $20. Pleasant staff, clean rooms, good location. read more

Room is clean, but dusty. Spacious living room area with 2 TVs. The beds are foam, and so worn in, you feel the hard bed underneath. Due to Covid, no coffee machine inside room, just in lobby. We got take out food and then I went to the 5th floor trash bin area and it was overflow with trash. The lobby furniture is all piled on top and sides of the walls with signs saying, unavailable due to Covid. The hotel has plenty of parking. The neighborhood and parking area however is full of homeless and stray cats. In the short walk from the front lobby door to my vehicle, got view of 3 homeless men digging in the parking lot trash for cans. Nothing wrong, just see the destitute of the area, and it is heart breaking. Not a fantastic location, but we just needed a place for one night. Don't think I would recommend in future. read more

There was a selection of juices, scrambled eggs, toaster with bread, bagels, croissants. Very friendly staff. Pathetic little place with depressing rooms. Location is fairly good, being in the downtown, but note that there is no place to eat within walking distance, unless you want to hike at least 0.8 miles. The rooms are cramped and ungraciously laid out. The furniture is not as crappy as at some Springhill locations, but still it is not the kind of stuff you would tolerate at home, unless you really don't care what your surroundings look like. The layout is so cramped that one of the two beds (so small they are not even queen size) is crammed in 5 inches away from the heater, so there is not even enough room for a person to squeeze in. One of the two elevators were broken for our stay, and the elevators are slow as molasses. There is no coffeemaker in the rooms! That is hard to believe, since I think even Motel 8 will give you a coffeemaker. Bad internet service. A Zoom call I tried to do was breaking up. DO NOT stay here if you need any kind up upload speed to your internet. Perhaps the most depressing is the "art" on the walls. See my photos. This is absurdly depressing, why are those folks setting up these rooms so senseless?? If Embassy Suites can make decent suite rooms, why the heck can't Marriott?? read more

Ted at the front gets 5 stars. As does every member of the staff. The only way we're at a 4/5. Is that it was a barebones building, which was totally fine and cool. I even had YouTube in the room which was great and very 21st century. It had the typical Paul Mitchell soap, clean linens and air conditioning, sweet Jesus! The carpet is stained up as soon as you enter and the floors in the room we stayed in felt filthy and we kept our shoes on until we showered. They only provided one cup of coffee per room and the powdered creamer looked extremely old and dehyThe keys didn't work on our first trip to our room and every other time we re-entered on our 3 days stay. Had to go back downstairs every time. Not too mention pool was closed and elevator under construction. Toilet paper felt like 1 ply and ended up going to store to buy us decent tp. First the carpet was filthy nor vacuumed my 9 month old found pieces from a broken old charger on the ground and almost choked on it no it wasn't ours at all. The elevators are old and unkept. To top it off the 2nd day of our stay we found a huge roach in our room, the lady I had spoken to was nice enough to move us room but that regardless that is absolutely disgusting and should never happen at a hotel that's supposedly 4 stars. read more

I checked out earlier today and I want to say that I had one of the best hotel experimences you can have. I was in the phoenix area for an interview and I needed a hotel in Downtown Phoenix. After narrowing down choices on hotels.com, i found Springhill based on the availavility of their free airport shuttle as well as their free breakfast. I have never been to Phoenix before so navigating its airport as well as my own transportation is extra stress I did not need. Setting up the airport shuttle will the hotel was excellent. I arrived, called the hotel and told them what airline I flew, they they me exactly what door to exit out of from baggage claim and where to wait. the shuttle came promptly as promised. Checking in was a breeze. Got to my room and loved the spacious setup. Bed, tv, couch, desk. You name it, it was included. The rooms also came with Paul Mitchell hair products. And it was a quick walk to Downtown Phoenix. You can walk to St. Mary's Basilica, Starbucks, the convention center, talking stick sports arena, and the phoenix biomedical campus. I also had to check out early for an interview but the hotel staff was very accomodating and let me store my bags at the hotel until I was ready yo talk the shuttle later that evening. The free breakfast had a bunch of options to choose from. And the complimentary coffee to go was an extra bonus!!! I would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you Marriott!! read more

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay here. I was here for a conference and both the conference hotels were booked and Springhill had solid rates. It is probably about a half mile from "downtown" which really isn't bad. It was also a $10 uber trip from the airport. They do have a shuttle which I didn't know about until after, but it needs to be requested. All the front desk staff I interacted with were very friendly. They held my luggage for me both times I needed it, even after check out. My room (602) was very spacious with not a half bad view as far as views go in Phoenix. The bed and pillows were comfy, water pressure great and spaciousness of the room fantastic, more than I needed. Overall, I thought it was a great room. The carpets may need a little love, but overall very good. The breakfast is just kinda ok, but very few free hotel breakfasts are Michelin star quality so take that for what it's worth, I just stuck with fruit. But, I do like that they had coffee available 24/7 as well as an awesome bouquet of lollipops at the front desk. Overall, a pretty nice place to stay that is just a bit off the beaten path. read more

I stayed at the Springhill Suites for a business trip and was there for a Tuesday - Friday. Check in was easy and quick, staff were very friendly, and the room was easy to get to. The rooms are large with a kitchenette, a desk area, a large couch and ottoman, a king size bed, and a bathroom area. There was a lot of lighting and the heating and cooling worked well for me. The cleanliness wasn't great in the room I stayed in. There were black curly hairs all over the shower as if it hasn't been cleaned and there were black hairs on the bathmat provided. The hand towels by the sink were stained with something pink. The bed appeared clean, and the rest of the room was fine. There was no safe to store belongings, and the closet is small and has no doors. The breakfast was nice with eggs, a meat option, bread and toaster station, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juice, and coffee. It was a pretty wide selection for a hotel continental breakfast. I always had great experiences with the staff. The location is a little sketchy - it's just outside of the downtown area and I wouldn't recommend walking at night, but during the day I walked to and from the convention center and felt safe. Overall, this was an acceptable hotel and perfect for a quick business stay...but I'll be checking the shower for hair if I come back. read more

Family stay... 2 adults and 2 teenagers. More than enough room. 2 t.v. s in room... Quiet location. Arrived around 9 pm, guy at front desk was super nice....Breakfast was the usual.... waffle maker, generic omelets, oj, packaged muffins and oatmeal. Great price for 3 nights. Place felt clean, we still sanitized the room. Room wasn't cleaned for our entire stay due to covid. We had our own supplies and asked for clean towels. I would stay here again read more

Very pleased with our stay at the Springhill Suites Marriott in downtown Phoenix. I already knew it was going to be great and have to say they lived up to our high expectations. Very close to nearby gas stations, fast food and the downtown area. Quick and easy pickup and drop for Lyft so that's a plus! Check in was seamless, front desk was very nice and conversational Room was great! Bed was comfy, spacious bathroom area and big full body mirror lol pillows were ok can't complain at all. Breakfast was good--eggs were a bit runny but didn't bother me much. Incidentals charged at check in ($20 debit card/$10 credit card) and should be refunded within a few days. Overall A+++ and worth the price. (I booked with Marriott rewards points so it was free for me but worth the price if I were to have paid for it) Would stay again no doubt! read more
