I've stayed at this hotel many times. In fact, I've stayed at many springhill suites. This one has excellent customer service. Everytime you go by the desk to enter or leave, they always say hello or have a nice day etc. The management here is top notch. The breakfast is also pretty good. Most places have on type of egg but this place has three! The egg white really made me happy. They also have the usual waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, potatoes, meat, coffee etc. The rooms are consistently clean. The ice machines always work. The lobby bathroom is safe and clean. The gym is decent size. There is plenty of parking. They have Tesla superchargers. I've never tried their indoor pool. The location is good- it's a quiet area. Right off the freeway. Close to a gas station. Uber Eats will deliver here. I've never had any issues at this hotel and I will stay here again. read more

For 4th of July weekend, we headed out of town and made a pit stop in Ocala. In Ocala, we chose to stay at SpringHill Suites Ocala mainly as I have good memories of another one of these locations (the breakfast in particular being great) and the fact being that I am a Marriott Bonvoy member. Throw in that we would be leaving 4th of July when most places are closed, and well, breakfast definitely was a deciding factor. At any rate, we checked in rather late and Darius attended us. He was efficient and personable, so no complaints there. We then went to our room, which was clean and spacious. It had a bed, a couch, a table, a mini fridge, a microwave, a bathroom - I mean, the better question is: what didn't it have? For the night we stayed, the room certainly exceeded my expectations. Not to mention that parking was a breeze. I will say though that the breakfast was good was not as good as the SpringHill Suites location we stayed in previously in Tampa (or was it Orlando?). I had really hoped they had more egg dishes, maybe a mini veggie quiche? This comment itself makes me realize I have been spoiled by this chain, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. read more

This is a new and wonderful hotel off I75. The staff is wonderful. The breakfast arrangement is odd, but u can walk to a Waffle House or Cracker Barrel. There's a close McD's but their drive thru is the only option. Back to the hotel...a great spot. Everything is still fresh. The Courtyard across the way looks aged if you're comparing. read more

Stayed here while in town on business. The room was large and well laid out. The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was great - they were attentive, responsive, and pleasant. The bed and pillows were very comfy. Going in, I had low expectations, but they were exceeded in every way. Breakfast was yummy too! read more

BEDBUGS AND NO REFUND - beware of this location. Upon arrival I found a bed bug in my bed, I went downstairs and discussed the situation with the front office staff, they told me they were unable to issue a refund but would connect with a manager. Three days later, I had not received a call from a manager, so I followed up, spoke with a manager, who said he refused to give me a refund and proceeded to hang up on me. The Hilton that is two minutes down the road is similarly priced and 10 stars above this, with clean rooms and exceptional customer service. I will be reporting this to Marriott - I am a Silver Elite member and this is how I was treated. Don't stay here unless you want bedbugs and to still be charged for the room when you leave and to be treated with complete unprofessionalism and disrespect. read more

This is my favorite hotel in the Ocala area. Rooms that actually sleep 5, has always been clean, friendly staff, and good breakfast options. The beds & pillows are comfortable. The couch bed is not nearly as comfy as the beds are obviously , but much better than a tiny roll away that you have to get at other places. It's nice not to be so crammed into your room. Our breakfast options were pretty typical , waffles, 2 cereals, English muffins, yogurt, but also quiche, and egg-sausage bagels . Will definitely continue to make this our normal stop when driving through. read more

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted with very poor customer service. No cart for luggages to be brought up to the room. We are a family of four with baby on board and with all the luggage in hand plus the stroller we got to the 3rd floor and into our room which had a particular smell like wet dog. The bathroom floor was full of hair and dust, and the room has carpet so I do not want to imagine how disgusting it could be. The poor hygiene offered is very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel. Its very over priced for what they offer. read more

We recently traveled to Gainesville to visit my sister in law and hotels were all booked. Ocala is the next closest major city and has a few hotel options. This SpringHill Suites is brand spankin new. The rooms were beautiful and clean. Location is right off of I-75 with some good restaurant options nearby for dinner. The staff was extremely helpful! They walked me around the lobby and explained how the complementary breakfast worked. She showed me how to use their touchscreen in the lobby that recommends things to do in the area. I normally stay at the higher Marriott branded hotel, but they to be objective for what it is. The place was very clean and staff professional and friendly. The deco, especially in the room was cheap looking while appearing new and excellent condition. The mind blowing thing was the sliding bathroom door was directly at the foot of the bed about 4 feet. The door was frosted glass from floor to ceiling. When someone was in there with the door close you could see their naked body sillotte. No, details but enough. The couch covers into a bed, so there's an expectation that your kids may be in the room. You wouldn't want them walking around with someone in the bathroom. With lights off in the room, bathroom door closed and bath lights on, its like a spot light aimed at the bed. I did not care for the property it was on. It's all parking lot, next to a Wal-Mart plaza. So there's nothing to keep you on the property, and lots and lots of traffic if you venture outside the parking lot. Plenty of restaurants nearby and in walking distance, but you're walking in a busy traffic are. As mentioned, the hotel was clean, appeared new, staff was professional. Rating it on the level of Marriott brand, in a better area, I would give it a 5 star if the bathroom soon wasnt a peep show, or landing lights for planes. read more

The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly. The problem with this hotel is the same as many newer Marriotts. The glass on the door to the bathroom is entirely too see through!!! You could see a person's whole profile and even see tan lines. The door is located in the middle of the room at the foot of the bed. The door to the shower is located where you have to walk right in front of the bathroom door to enter it. We are a family of 5 with teens and preteens. Am I supposed to send the rest the family out of the room every time someone showers?! In addition, because the door was glass the light was so bright that if anyone went to the bathroom, the whole room lit up and woke people up. We always stay at Marriotts, but maybe not anymore with this new design. Is it too much to ask for a real door and some privacy? read more

Family of four- we recently got to enjoy a weekend staycation at SpringHill Suites. I was prepping for a 4pm check in but got notice that our room was ready at 2pm- win! The lobby was spacious, clean, and had a little convenience store. Upon check-in the staff was very pleasant, explained to us how the complimentary breakfast works and the recommended enjoying the pool. As a Covid-cautious person, I appreciated the efforts to create a safe environment without sacrificing service or amenities. I just have to mention the INDOOR HEATED POOL! It was a very cold weekend so it was a nice treat. It was by far our kid's favorite part of our stay. I haven't even mentioned the room... It was surprisingly spacious. We had a double queen room which also had a gorgeous and comfortable West Elm sofa/trundle bed. Our tween enjoyed the semi-privacy of the sofa/office area. The TV had a personalized welcome message and we were able to sign in to our Netflix account (yay!). We honestly didn't leave the hotel much, except for dinner. read more

I would like to start this review with saying that I have attained titanium elite status w/ Marriott and have been a rewards member since 2007 w/ over 1K nights stayed at all of their brands. That being said this hotel has amazing potential however the poor customer service noted with the staff will never allow them to reach their potential. When checking in the woman at the front desk called me baby no less than 10 times. Until this week, I have never checked into a Marriott and not been thanked/ acknowledged for the status level obtained (this may sound conceded however, almost 4 years of my life have been spent in a Marriott bed). I saw something at this hotel which I had never witnessed before as well..... a party with a speaker set up similar to that of a wedding dj and a bbq with no less than 25 attendees (most not staying at the hotel) was occurring on a Sunday evening and continued until well after 11:30 pm, unfortunately my room was a few floors directly above the communal patio where this was going on. I asked the gentleman working the front desk some questions regarding my room rate and he was not knowledgeable on the programs/ policies of the hotel. In addition to this when I was in conversation with him and handing in a form he stopped working with me to address another customer who as waiting in line behind me (I was there for less than 2 mins total). To end this review I guarantee I will never stay at this hotel again and hope that they align their employees with the standards you'd expect at a Marriott hotel. read more

BEWARE of this place. I complained about the roaches I found as well as the dirty bed sheets with human body fluid and received the most disrespectful treatment from the front desk managers. It was pretty disturbing that when I went back the last time, they had cancelled my reservation without telling me because I had posted a negative review about them. It was pretty disgraceful. They reply with lies to cover their actions, but don't believe and stay far away. read more
