Located right off of I-75 (exit 350), the property location is in a great area where there are plenty of restaurants, gas stations and stores nearby. If you feel like shopping there is a Kohl's down the road too. My suite was tastefully decorated and had an open floor plan. From the L shaped couch to the stainless steel appliances to the modern textured wallpaper; my suite was fresh and stylish. The only thing I didn't care for was the view of the parking lot, however it's not a deal breaker for me. My bed was comfortable and I slept well. Although the bathroom was small, the shower had great water pressure & I had a nice sized vanity area to get ready. I felt like I was in a cute studio apartment and not a hotel. I didn't take advantage of the complimentary breakfast because I picked up something at Dunkin Donuts (super close). The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar on the property, however they do have a small area where you can purchase snacks. Was everything perfect? The answer is no. Did I find one particular front desk clerk to be rude and obnoxious? The answer is yes and I do hope this employee gets more training. In this case one bad apple did not spoil the whole bunch. The customer service from Melisa was extraordinary. From the time I made my reservation four months ago to the week prior to my arrival, Melisa was helpful, professional and just a lovely person. I am sorry I didn't get to meet her in person, but she had the weekend off when I was a guest at this property. I do hope I get to meet her next time. She is an amazing lady. Whatever issue I had was quickly addressed by Carol Griffin, the manager who made everything right. She was compassionate, logical and just a very nice lady in general. I really liked her and Melisa a lot. If you are looking for a hotel that is conveniently located off I-75 in Ocala, I am comfortable recommending this Residence Inn.

Something sticky and dried on the refrigerator....yuck!

My company booked a room here and I was really hoping that it would be better than many of the recent reviews for this hotel. Sadly, the room cleanliness was on-par with many of the other reviews. First, I'll say that I thought the rooms themselves were pretty nice. I stayed in one of the suites, which came with a frig, small glasstop stove, dishwasher, and all the eating and cooking utensils you need, in addition to the usual hotel furniture. The bed comfort wasn't anything to write home about but it also wasn't the worst either. Now, getting onto the more disappointing details...when I arrived, I noticed that the trash from the previous occupants wasn't removed from either the kitchen or the bathroom. There was something sticky on the refrigerator handle that had run down and dried there. The same sticky smudges were also on one of the cabinet doors. The kitchen table was wiped off quickly but you could see that it wasn't cleaned very well. Mold looked like it was around the A/C vent on the wall. Crumbs were on the desk chair; drink rings were on the nightstand; there was dust on the furniture edges; the edge of the closet track and the bathroom baseboard had dirt around it like it was never mopped or cleaned properly. The bed skirt also had noticeable stains on it and I shudder to think what they could be. At that point, I was wondering if the towels or sheets were clean. It's pretty sad...and unacceptable when you feel that it would be more sanitary and clean if you pitched a tent out in the parking lot. On a better note, the staff that I spoke with were very nice and accommodating and when I brought the trash out from the previous occupants, they were very apologetic about it. Also, the continental breakfast wasn't bad...not great, but not bad, either. I would love to rate this hotel with at least 4 or 5 stars but I just can't because of the below average cleanliness of the place. Either the cleaning staff (if they even have one) doesn't know how to clean or they just don't care. If cleanliness is important for your comfort and relaxation, then look elsewhere because this isn't it.

Loving the new paint scheme of this hotel.

This Marriott property is one of our favorites. The staff Jennifer, Kevin and Patty are the most professional people I have experienced in a hotel. They are always there to help you out and take care of you. This Hotel is by far, the BEST hotel I have stayed at, and trust me, I have stayed at quit a few hotels around the world and the staff goes above and beyond any other hotel staff. They just renovated the rooms!!! I love the color scheme and the wall paintings. Rooms are ALWAYS clean and spacious. The Breakfast is always top notch, not to mention the managers specials (The Residence Inn MIS) Mon-Wed with free wine/beer and snacks. I can't thank the Managers and Staff enough for taking care of us while we are here... it is ALWAYS a pleasure to come stay at this hotel when we are in the area.

Wife and I arrived at this Residence Inn close to midnight. Funny thing to note, within the Marriott app the navigation takes you to the Hampton Inn across the street. Not fault of the hotel, but just an interesting comment. Upon walking up the night clerk let us in and welcomed us by name. While we were checking in status was acknowledged and we were welcomed with 2 bottles of water and bedtime chocolates. Great touch! The rooms are nothing speculator but definitely comfortable. 3.8 star hotel but what makes it a 4.5 is the guest interaction. Everyone we talked to was warm and welcome! Breakfast was hearty. Anywhere that serves bacon is a good breakfast for me! There was scrambled eggs and just egg whites, bagels, breads, fruits, cheeses and yogurt. Would stay again if crossing through the area.

Table was broken, carpet is wore, tile is coming off the wall, the shower leaked continuously and the wall paper is falling off the wall. Pillows had mascara on them. The people across the hall kept smoking weed. We stayed at nicer category 3 hotels. Disappointed in the hotel. We are loyal to Marriott but this didn't fit the bill.

Fruits, cheeses, egg whites or scrambled, sausages or lean Canadian bacon, nonfat Greek yogurts and more.

Clean, quiet, fully remodeled, great complimentary hotel breakfast (including healthy options), decent gym, and pool.

    Fancy...lol

This should actually be a Motel 6 and not allowed to carry the Hilton name. The carpets were filthy, there were cobwebs and what looked like grass clippings splayed on the curtain valance. No money has been spent on this property - clearly, and they're just milking it for every cent from the horse community. Cold/lukewarm shower with ZERO water pressure. It took me a good 5 minutes to get my shampoo rinsed out. A baby roach crawled out of the sink hole when I turned on water to brush my teeth. No amenities except a well worn packet that said "makeup remover" (LOL I'm not putting that on my face!!!) and the Hilton "Zero" refillable shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that no one uses...unless they're desperate. I'm not expecting L'occitane, but I'm not touching that... The WORST PART that they don't tell you - you're feet from the interstate with a SECOND service road used by 18 wheelers racing through the night, mere steps away from where you're trying to sleep. This place was a nightmare. Breakfast included rotten bananas, and nothing looked clean or fresh. So, I went to Publix to buy breakfast. Filthy, no sleep, and twice the price of a beachfront Hilton...go ANYWHERE else.

As a loyal Hilton customer, I have always appreciated the flexibility and understanding that the brand has shown its members. However, it is disheartening to learn that in this instance, over a charge of $234, there seems to be no room for flexibility. This decision seems to undermine the loyalty that Hilton has built with its customers over the years. Such rigidity can tarnish the Hilton brand and potentially erode customer loyalty, which I believe is far more valuable than the monetary amount in question.

First....the grounds are beautiful, well maintained and vast. Upon arrival there's a choice of valet or self-park just out front. Before you can even get to the door someone has rushed to open it and greet you warmly. In fact, 1 guy was there at noon when we arrived and still there at 9pm. Even at 9pm he was still hustling, smiling and putting in just as much effort as he was many hrs earlier. The excellence of staff continued beyond the doormen. Every single staff member we encountered was equally engaged, acknowledged guests, was friendly and was genuinely competent at their job. SO refreshing!! We never saw any of the staff on their phones or busy talking with each other. The work ethic & polish this hotel expects from staff is obvious, appreciated & makes an impact on how we felt as guests. Upon entry, the lobby is gorgeous! Pristine, classy yet inviting. Loved the player piano & large fireplace. There were even some really lovely olive wood crosses available at the front desk, which was an especially nice touch over Easter. Often when a lobby is beautiful, the rooms are a let down. Not here! I didn't see any areas that were in need of attention. Our room felt incredibly clean - no missed corners, grimy spots, etc. It was immaculate and so welcoming...oh, and the room was really really big...and so comfortable. There was a large 2 door closet as well as a smaller closet for our child to use and appreciated having 3 suitcase holders that could fit into the closets so we didn't have to look at them in the room. The chairs in the room were actually comfortable to sit in and made sense with their location. Beds were wonderful and I might have to get 1 of their pillows as it was the first night in awhile that my neck hasn't hurt. Winning! The chocolates by the bedside were a fun treat, particularly the lemon truffle. The next key takeaway from this hotel is how clean it is everywhere. Already mentioned the lobby & rooms, but were out by the arena after the candy shop had closed and the person cleaning had all chairs completely off the floor, rug rolled up and outside and was cleaning like they wanted it to shine. My husband immediately noted that's a sign that someone actually taught the person how they wanted it cleaned rather than just asking them to clean. Big difference. Seriously - I could write a novel about this hotel/property and how great it was. Dog portraits line the walls and halls. There's a small patisserie (large one in the Manor, which you also need to explore), toy shop, bar, restaurant and shops to explore. You MUST stop at the patisserie - fresh, beautiful. We grabbed some items in a lovely box to take home as a gift. We also had breakfast at Stirrups and fully recommend dining here. It was wonderful and blew away all the "best" restaurants in Ocala. Our fruit platter was customizable, came with pink pineapple slices (!) and dragon fruit bits. The 3 egg omelet was the size of a 6 egg omelet and had more beautifully cooked bacon than one could hope. While filling our water glasses the pitcher dripped a couple times. Love that our server was right there with her towel to notice every detail. Beyond the really delicious food and outstanding service, we loved watching the horses warming up in the arena outside, looking around at the many dog portraits in the room and relaxing in the large leather chairs. HUGE shout out to the management staff! It's obvious the leadership here has expectations, does comprehensive training with staff and is actively engaged in ensuring the quality of the hotel. Is The Equestrian Hotel more expensive than the other hotel on site or hotels closer to town - yes, but it's so worth it and we would happily pay a higher price to stay here. Thank you for the wonderful weekend retreat!! We can't wait to return!

I stayed here because I had my two doodles with me and Hilton accepts dogs. The large pasture was perfect for walking dogs versus a tiny strip of grass out back that most hotels have. The front desk, lobby and restaurant are impeccable and up to date. The service was excellent. I didn't go in the pool or jacuzzi but it sure looked inviting. They were beautiful, clean and well maintained. The room was lack luster. Maybe I got a room that wasn't updated because I had the dogs? The carpet was old and the ac make grinding sounds at different hours of the night. The refrigerator was barely cold. There was no freezer and no microwave. The furniture was worn out but thankfully the mattresses were heavenly! Hope and her husband were kind to give me more information about the hotel restaurant.
