Solid hotel to stay at in the Gainesville area. Right off of 75 and across from Butler Plaza, it is a very convenient location, all while staying in a more quiet location away from the main road. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bed was supportive and the pillows were plush. All of the amenities that you need they have. I do wish the bathroom was modernized a little more, but overall, solid place to spend a night if you are in town :)

Stopped on our trip down to Fort Myers so just stayed one night after a long day of driving. Convenient location right off of I-75 and about 5 miles from downtown G-ville. The staff was friendly and helpful including the gal managing the breakfast bar. A rarity - I was actually able to get an upgraded room as a Gold member. The incredibly large suite was almost hilariously big (it is their "accessible" room). Though strangely the bathroom counter space was tiny. The bed was comfortable and the shower water pressure was very good though it was a tub not a shower in an "accessible" room??? Not an issue for us but just saying... The rate was one of the best we got for the nearly month we were in Florida. I would stay here again.

This hotel was awesome! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It is so nicely decorated for Christmas also! The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast was great. The breakfast staff provides a great wake up experience. The fitness room is large and has enough equipment to get a solid workout in. The pool looks nice but it was not warm enough to get out in it this week. Overall I would rate this hotel as one of the top in the area. Much better than some of the others I have stayed in.

The hotel is old and needs to be renovated. The room needs to be thoroughly cleaned. Even the hotel needs to be cleaned better. It's an okay place to sleep, but not up to Marriott standards. I've stayed at Marriott's across the US, and I'm finding their standards are dwindling.

Very Friendly staff and a great location. The rooms are suites and very nice, once I got in I threw my stuff everywhere so it's only a photo of the huge king bed. Staff upon entering was super delightful and they are remodeling the outside. They have the mini suites with fridge, microwave, and glassware- I love how they have a plate and fork, knife, spoon bundle.. it may sound weird to most, but if you travel for work maybe you'll appreciate it too lol. The proximity is super close to campus and you are right by a nice shopping outlet with Trader Joe's, Micheal's, Whole Foods, and actually shopping stores lol. I just tend to eat and craft a lot so I was happy about these 3 places.

This one was a third one that was dead on the rug..

Really nice on the outside and at first our room looked great BUT when I was in bathroom getting ready for my shower, I looked up and noticed the light fixture had maybe 30+ dead and alive bugs in it..creeped me out and I told my fiancé. He took a pic and brought it to the person at the front desks attention and they said they'd "make a note" and look into it the next day. After my shower, I was in bed and felt something crawling on my head..it was a flying ant...UGH! As soon as I shook it off my son said mom theirs a bug on you pillow..it was ANOTHER flying ant..at that point we looked at Fairfield suites down the street and checked in. We checked out of hotel and as we walked passed the front desk. The front desk person was sitting there didn't even acknowledge us and continued to talk to each other. Not even an "I'm sorry". We were in total disgust .NEVER aga

This place had a couple red flags. Their pool was down and we were not informed, one of the main reasons we came. They told us we could go to the YMCA & pay to swim (keep in mind they close at 9) & it was 8:57. They proceeded to tell us they had a shuttle to take us there. NO THANKS. They then tried bribing us with lollipops ? We went to our room & there was blood splattered on the pillow. The floors had dust & grime on them. Then their free breakfast, the coffee wasn't strong, the waffles had hair in them, & there were children running around everywhere. For the price this hotel is not acceptable.

This place is not great. Paper thin walls, bad breakfast, and overall bad experience. Would not recommend.

Nice hotel, good price. Only complaint are two paper thin sheets you get on the bed. Feels like you're sleeping with tissue paper.

We have stayed at another hotel in the past but it is not part of the Hilton brand. Both times we stayed here, the weather was colder. The first time, we used the fire pit outside and the fireplace in the lobby was on but not the recent visit. I was looking forward to that. We had a digital key and I arrived prior to hubs, with no issues. The room was clean but there were no regular coffee kcups- just tea and decaf. I unfortunately did not notice that until the morning but was smart enough to bring my own. I used the shower first, which the cold water was almost non existent. If I turned the dial maybe to the 11 o'clock dial, it was not scolding my skin. The water also felt very slimy, which I believe means the water was soft. We had credits to use so after I picked up hubs, we went to the bar in the lobby for a couple of drinks. There was only one employee working and he was super busy. There were a lot of patrons there so we ordered drinks from him in between him taking care of others. We were enjoying ourselves lounging in the lobby and were able to order a second round. Their lobby is very nice and cozy. We requested a late checkout when we were done and told 1pm. Hubs paid in advance for the breakfast so we headed there around 10am. When we checked at the front desk, one of the breakfast staff informed us they did not have much food left. I thought that was messed up because breakfast is not included so there should be plenty of stock. The kitchen dude cooked us up some eggs and bacon, which I think was the last of what they had. We also checked with the desk to assure we had the late checkout, to which the employee gave us an earlier time. We then reiterated what was given to us the previous night and he put it in the computer. Shockingly, housekeeping knocked on the door of course at noon and we had to tell them again. We do like this hotel and will consider this location the next time we stay in Gainesville but will not pay for the breakfast and I will have to check immediately entering the room for supplies. The staff were professional and friendly so that is always a positive attribute.

**UPDATE** After speaking to customer service, they DID credit me some hilton rewards point. So…read morethey DID make up for the stay. Grateful for that** Immediately upon arrival there were young kids playing baseball in parking lot, parents got upset that I wanted to get through to park car...that was the beginning of the end...went in to check in and noticed they were hosting A LOT of kids baseball players. I asked if I left and didnt check if if they'd NOT charge me as I didnt want to stay in a Hilton with a lot of screaming obnoxious kids. Clerk said that NO they WOULD still charge me. OOOOOK then. Then mid conversation with desk girl, some rude dude stumbles up to the front desk asking where the bar is. Front desk cuts off my conversation and tells him where to go to meet his friends. Like what?! You're checking me in...why cater to that type of person when you're already dealing with a guest? There were limited rooms available so I was on first floor. The room itself was great...except mini frig didn't work (apparently common in gainesville) However, within minutes of being in room with door shut I could hear and feel the thumping music and kids screaming. I was there on a BUSINESS trip. I detest thumping foul music to begin with but especially at a HILTON! I expect more than that. I've never had this problem or any problem at any other Hilton other than now the 2 in Gainesville. I was advised by the front desk that "quiet time" starts at 11pm. That's pure insanity and totally unacceptable. In the morning when I checked out the gentleman that was at front desk asked how my stay was. I replied "awful" He wanted to know why. I proceeded to explain and he made excuses the entire time. Told me "That's Gainesville. A sports community." blah blah blah. I don't care if it's Gainesville or anywhere else, when I go to a Hilton I expect peace, quiet, quality otherwise I could stay at a grotesque Motel 8 or some nasty place. Ironically though I've now stayed at 2 different Hiltons in Gainesville and apparently "it IS Gainesville" equates to low quality, substandard service and accommodations. The other hilton was gross/nasty/maintenance issues but quiet...The Garden Inn Hilton was opposite...clean but loud, rude and obnoxious. After this stay, I've decided I will no longer be doing business in Gainesville because it's apparent that the Hilton's there don't meet my expectations like they do in Ormond Beach, Daytona and other areas. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY and wish I had driven the 300+ miles home when I was done with my client on Saturday instead of staying...had I known how bad it was going to be, I'd have gone ahead and lost my $170 for the night and driven straight back. TOTAL FAIL on Hilton.

I'll start by saying the lady who was new and checked me in was very friendly. This in no way…read morereflects her. Me wife and son stayed here one night while traveling through the area. We chose this hotel due to price reviews and looked nice in pics. It also had a 1 bedroom suite that had a pull out sofa in living room so didn't need to get to rooms since our son is an adult and didn't want out to all cram into one room with two beds. The lobby looked nice and made our way to room. Dropped off luggage and went to eat. Upon our return we noticed there were only three pillows in the room and they were on the smaller side. I went down to ask for more pillows and was told they didn't have any since they were all locked up in housekeeping and they left at 5. It was 530. She the proceeded to tell me she could give me a blanket to use????? I told her there were 3 adults and only 3 pillows and she to recent neck and shoulder surgery I needed to prop myself up so asked her if she could ask manager to open housekeeping. She informed me they were also gone. I then asked if she could get some from a vacant room and she said she would ask manager. She went into the back and a couple minutes later came out with two more pillows and said this was all they could do. Wait so you did have some??? You lied??? How many more were back there??? I went back to room very irritated and was informed there was no sheets or blankets for the pull out. Mind you none in room. Went back down and got those. Thinking this place had worse service than the motel 6 I stayed in 20 years ago I then discovered there was a smell of sewage coming from toilet. Due to what time it was and how tired we were from traveling we just put seat down and shut the doors. Stay away from this place. Pay more it's worth it trust me. In all honesty I would take a 6 over this place.

Unfortunately, when we were checking in, there were no rooms available on the side of the hotel away from SW. 13th St.. The hotel was renovated recently. You would've thought they would've put in double glazed windows, and noise muffling Blinds. They did not. I was not able to enjoy the breakfast buffet due to Surgery the next day. But my husband said it was good. Seeing that sleep is crucial before a stressful day. This brought my rating down four stars.

The pool is a nice size with nice decorations. There is also a hot tub, which was very enjoyable. Just by the pool, there is an outdoor basket court too. The outdoor space is very relaxing and a great place to hang out and enjoy yourself. The breakfast is always very satisfying when we come here. They offer a nice variety with just about anything you can think of. The staff does a great job keeping it tidy and the food restocked. I enjoy the fresh fruit they provide, it is so refreshing! As well as the variety of pastries including the scones and filled muffins, yummy. The eggs are always good and I appreciate that they always have pico, guacamole, and cheeses for toppings. We really like the suites here. They are spacious and have everything you'd need for a good stay. We usually stay in the double queen suite. It has a kitchen space, living room, large bathroom, and a bedroom with two queen size beds. The beds are pretty comfortable too. The bathroom is a decent size, offering a nice shower and big mirror. Our rooms have two tvs as well, which is convenient. We have never been unsatisfied with the rooms at Staybridge! Overall, this is a great hotel in Gainesville! The breakfast is always on point here and they have a great selection each morning. I really love this Staybridge and it is my family's go to spot when visiting me in Gainesville!
