My self and husband we stayed at this hotel on August 28th threw the 30th .Our first day and night was great then the second day we where out of the room all day when we got back it was about 7pm we had door dash bring us some food from twin peeks and I will say there food was great,then we ordered the Jake Paul fight from showtime 60+ dollars for that fight we got maybe 45min in and then load banging on our hotel door I mean crazy banging so I jump up put on some clothes go to the door and the man working that night sticks his foot in my door and slings it open and says he coming in to look threw our room I say we'll back up and let my husband get dressed he never closed the door all the way then my husband get to the door and says what's going on .The man say he the manger and he coming in the room, my husband is like no your not. And the mangers tells my husband it was to see if we had guns or holding children or women hostage we are like what??? Keep in mind he is trying to push past my husband to get in and again we where like no so he leaves.. we where so up set we just packed our stuff and went to the front desk because we are TRUCK DRIVERS so for him to say that to two people that have to walk a very straight line to have our job was crazy..we get to the front desk and he's apologizing like crazy said he would give us our money back or make it up in any way.we said you can just credit our money back and we left we still haven't gotten our money back..He told us that he did this to 7 other rooms so he Is harassing rooms because he is on a power trip..We paid right at 600 for two nights there the money lost on our fight and 80 on our food ...we stay at hotels all over the world never have we ever had a problem. We just stayed at Homewood hotel for labor day weekend for 3 day and went to mall of America and it was great we will never stay at this hotel again and I think the Manger there needs a talking to he's on a power trip and a lier about his apologies and our money back..I would not even give it 1 star if I didn't have to...Denver Colorado west Golden stay clear... read more

Great location. The hotel is located within walking distance to great shops and restaurants in downtown but not have to deal with the noise if you were closer. It's also very close to the Pepsi Center and Sports Authority Field (go Broncos!!) If you're the exploratory type, walk around to see sights where the capital and the park is. Reminds me of DC a little. Also there's a underpass by the bridge where you can ride your bike along the water. The staff were all fantastic. From the checking in to the breakfast lounge and valet guys. All were professional, polite and helpful. By the way, great breakfast selection! The best I've had at any Marriott properties, even those I've paid for breakfast! I mean, when you have Nutella and Greek yogurt... You've won me over!! :) The rooms were big and it's pretty quiet. As a 100/year night business traveler that is used to staying in Hilton properties, I can say my first impression of this hotel was not up to my expectations. Why? Because I usually stay at Hilton's and are used to what they have to offer. But when you peel the skin back and examine what you've got here at SpringHill, you realize it's pretty darned good. No, they do not have room service. No, the bar does not have spirits. This is their business model and had I taken the time look online I would have realized this. The rooms are phenomenal. Outside of Waldorf-Astoria, better than any Hilton property I've stayed at. They're different, which may be why I liked them. I got a 2 queen bed room which is just fine by me as I don't want housekeeping in my room and switch to the clean, unused bed on the 2nd night. Lots and lots of hot water and a great shower. I also like that it's shower only and you don't have to step over the side of tub to get in. Very modern feeling, nice desk/work space which I use extensively. Digital TV with all the good HD channels... again, important to me to listen to while I work. Last but not least, very nice relaxation area (sort of couch?) with two tv trays. Too bad they don't deliver food to use the TV trays. Walking distance to the Pepsi Center for hockey games or concerts is a huge plus. Larimer Square is a 10 minute walk with all kinds of restaurants. Try Ocean Prime or Tom's Urban! The rooms have a microwave and refrigerator (hidden in the dresser/tv stand). I found these on day 2. Internet is free for the slow kind. I actually tethered to my cell phone as I found it faster. The elevators are slow but that's just because I'm perpetually impatient. Use the stairs and get some exercise! Parking is non-existent so you have to use valet which is expensive. I'll stay here again. Badly Designed Hotel I was put up here on business and it's a fine place all in all but it has some serious issues with room design and I take off points for that. Firstly, I'd just say the place is clean and new and has easy access to Downtown Denver. My main problems are: 1. The water pressure in the shower is horrible. 2. I was put in a room with a handicapped bathroom which means that the shower is walk-in. So the shower curtain doesn't meet the floor allowing cold air to blow in and freeze you feet while you shower. 3. Although the lighting controls are labeled the organization and logic of the light switches is confusing and annoying. 4. The free internet included is super slow although they offer a paid version for faster service I think they should just include the fast internet. 5. The coffee included at breakfast is weak. The scrambled eggs are gross. 6. They give you two key cards that are both unlabeled. One operates hall access and the other accesses your room. They should make one card do both or label which is which. 7. This is the tackiest hotel I've ever seen. It's trying to be hip but it's mostly just a mess of bad patterns and cheesy furniture. 8. There's no safe in the room. I think all hotel rooms should offer safes for their guest to secure valuables. read more

My husband and I stayed here on the way to Breckinridge and it was a cool, clean and friendly stop in Denver. The location is perfect and near some great restaurants, shops and of course Bronco stadium! You do pay for parking, but valet was easy and I felt like my jeep was safe in their private garage. If you're looking for a nice place in Denver that's reasonably priced - then I'd suggest the Springhill Suites. read more

I reserved a suite here for my birthday weekend and I was very pleased. The location was perfect for going out in LoDo, visiting the Pepsi center and the 16th street mall. The hotel is clean and decorated nicely. The staff were nice and accommodating. I called down multiple times and they answered every question and helped me every time. The room was smaller than I would usually expect in a suite but it was still nice. They offer a free shuttle that will take you within a three mile radius and it fits 7. We had more people than that so the driver did two trips. The breakfast was good, including scrambled eggs and other hot selections. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it was the best price in the area. read more

Writing on behalf of my mom, myself, and my family, we've just spent three wonderful nights at Springhill - and we all say THIS IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS! From the valet to the front desk to the housekeeping team, they were all consistently nice, courteous, friendly, and professional; even offering driving directions since we were from out of state. The room was immaculately clean (as mentioned in another review the placement of wall light switches were random and non-intuitive as far as which light fixture it controlled but that's an interior design flaw not staff- related), the hotel décor was hip and classy with lots of natural light, and open-area seating with two gas-wood flre-places in the lobby. The location is perfect for tourists because you can walk to most of the major locations for sports fan, amusement parks, shopping, restaurants, and bars. Many hotels offer free breakfast buffets but this hotel has a much more appealing selection and offers a wider variety of breakfast foods including fresh fruit. Upon our arrival from Texas (& Michigan), the front desk person informed us that the hotel could offer a better rate than what we'd reserved on the website and only a "courtesy" valet fee which added to our savings. This happened during the holidays, at time when most hotels would justify charging more just because they could get away with it - but not Springhill. Greed was NOT a part of their mission objective instead it was SERVICE. Very refreshing! Based on that fact alone, not to mention their fabulous staff and excellent service, this hotel is our new favorite when we come to town! read more

I booked a block of rooms for my wedding guests at the Springhill Suites and everyone was so impressed with this hotel. Someone in our party told me that the rooms were the nicest and cleanest rooms they'd ever stayed in. I got nothing but positive feedback about the rooms and the check-in process. I understand there was some minor incident right before check-out, and from all accounts, managers handled it very well and went SO far to rectify the situation. The hotel is also in a great walkable location and was so close to all of the events we were hosting in LoDo. Planning events is stressful and the Springhill Suites was wonderful to work with, including the amazing discounted rate I was able to offer my guests. I couldn't be happier with our choice, and would recommend them to anyone staying in Denver, as well as someone in my shoes, hosting a wedding in Denver. read more

You have to understand that I used points to stay here, so I have no value reference at all. But let me tell you this place is swanky. Wonderful modern furnishings and design touches abound. The front desk staff was very friendly, the showers have power, the wifi was easy, and the beds were comfortable... Those are my prerequisite four musts for three stars at any hotel. This place definitely deserved an extra. The location in LoDo was also fabulous...walk to everything. The only drawback is the additional $28 per night valet charge for parking. I stayed at this hotel and was given a handicap room. When I called to ask why I was put in a handicap room I was told that they had no more kind beds left and I'd have to stay in that room. During my stay I noticed a few things that were very unpleasant and unacceptable. First, there were pink nail clippings on the carpet floor. Second, when I ran a bath I noticed hairs on the tub, rust and something clear was floating in the water. All of which I took pictures of. Lastly, when the house keeper came in to clean and fix up my room while I was away she/he kept a dirty pillow sheet on one of the pillows and placed it back on my bed. This was a terrible experience and I will never stay at this hotel again. read more

I am here right now in my room writing a review. I was torn between 4 or 5 stars but it was because I thought price was a bit too high and we have to use safety deposit boxes at the front desk. When was the last time you had to do that? We have a king room on the 6 floor. We usually do Hilton hotels so this was a change. A pleasant one I might add. Room well a equipped with blow dryer, iron, microwave, mini fridge. Nice desk and sofa as well. Walked this morning and close to train, Starbucks, and other shops and restaurants. I would recommend and I'd stay here again. One other reason to rate smudge lower. $32 for overnight parking seems steep! read more

I recently stayed at this hotel for a physicians conference and was pleasantly surprised! Upon arriving at the hotel, I was greeted by a friendly valet, who helped take my bags out of the cab. I entered the lobby, which is colorful, cozy (fireplace w/ oversized leather chairs and couchs)..a great place to relax on a snowy day. The front desk checked me in and gave me a description of the area in case I had time to explore. The room was very spacious, modern and clean! My room had a desk/work area, king bed and clean bathroom w/ stall shower. This was the perfect room to conduct work and relax at the end of the day! They recently opened an on site restaurant and bar (industrial style, so don't expect fancy), I heard good things from the other gueats, but I didn't try the food. They also provided a small breakfast that included, yogurt, cereal, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, juices and coffee. Nothing special, but very convenient and good selection. They offer a free shuttle that can take you and pick you up within a 3 mile radius, which was very convenient, especially considering its central locale. They are 2 blocks from several great restaurants (Latimer St) including Capital Grille, Ocean 52 and a few local spots. I tried Euclid Hall on 14th St, which is one of the oldest restaurants in the area and was good. I was very impressed with this hotel! The staff was friendly and informative, the rooms were spacious and clean and the location is fantastic! read more

This place is GREAT for the business traveler. I went last fall for a business trip to the Denver Film Festival and when I first got into my room - I was pleasantly surprised at the layout of this room which is truly a mini-suite - it had a pull-out couch which was professional enough looking that you could have a meeting, plus, the desk setup had plenty of light and plugs for all kinds of gadgets and bed was comfortable with a modern headboard where you could control ALL the lights in the room. It was like a pragmatic version of a W Hotel room. Plus, I guess this place is rated for being Green and efficient in the way it uses water and supplies. The front desk is extremely helpful - everyone was nice, professional. There was a daily breakfast which was hot and good. Parking is pricey at $28 per night, but if your business picks it up, it's very convenient and there's a shuttle that takes you within 3 miles of the hotel, so you can be dropped off at a local restaurant or venue and don't need a car if all your business is within that radius. Valets were all very nice guys especially in that negative degree weather. Highly recommend. read more

I recently stayed here for a conference in Denver. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. It seemed as if there were a few conferences in town at the time, so hotels were hard to come by. We had to change our reservations at the last minute, and they were able to accommodate us, despite being full when we called down to ask, in the same room at the last minute. Valet and front desk staff were very helpful. I also had an issue with a work CC while I was checking in that led to my card being charged twice. When I received by CC statement at work, I called and the issue was immediately resolved by Andrew, one the managers at the Front Desk, e-mailing me with the refund information that same day. Prices were reasonable considering there were several events in town and the breakfast and rooms were great! Very clean and well maintained, as well as spacious rooms! I will definitely return if ever in Denver for work again! read more

The hotel is perfectly located near downtown, within walking distance of the ballpark and tons of restaurants and shopping. Staff is super friendly, and the hotel itself has wonderful amenities. Clean and pretty decent fitness center, good selection on the FREE breakfast, and free wifi. The rooms are gorgeous. Blackout curtains for sleeping in and some of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Everything is up-to-date. Definitely recommended, would stay at again! read more

This is a great hotel! Somehow I managed to get a rate under $100 on the night of the Bronco's playoff game for an interview the following weekday. I was shocked by how nice this hotel was for a Springhill. The free breakfast is so much more than the traditional continental breakfast hotels push. They had eggs, bacon, sausage and a wide array of fruits. The hotel staff was always super friendly, saying "hello, how is it going?" everytime I entered and exited the hotel. The lobby was really nice as well. The room itself blew me away. I loved how each room has different labeled light switches to preset the lights to various events.... Just entering the room, leaving the room, all on, reading, etc... The bathroom was top notch as well. The study/library area was separated well from the bed area by a sliding piece of glass. The TV serviced both the desk and the bed. Overall, my stay at the Springhill Suites was top notch. Other hotels in the area might be nicer, but were 4x as expensive. I live in Denver now, but if I had to get a hotel room to access downtown, Springhill Suites would be my choice. read more

Room was pretty clean and quiet. Breakfast okay. But these folks are not on the up and up as far as their front desk practices. I used points (so I thought) to pay for most of my stay last week and Marriott is now refusing to honor them. Springhill waited til I checked out and it was 3 hours later to call and tell me that I owed $200 a night for two nights of the stay! I had other hotel choices but choose Springhill to use my points. Why didn't they tell me this when I checked in? Or when I checked out? Bad customer service policies at this hotel. Thanks to them , I am cutting up my Marriott rewards card and switching to La Quinta. read more

Excellent location. Within walking distance to just about anything (Pepsi Center, 16th Street) you want to do in the Downtown Denver area. And if your not the walking type they offer a FREE shuttle to anywhere within 3 miles of the hotel. We used the shuttle a few times during our stay and the wait was minimal. The rooms here were really nice and everything looked brand new. Every staff member we encountered were extremely nice and very helpful. My group arrived early in the morning and they were still able to have all of us placed into rooms much earlier than check in time. They do offer a free breakfast everyday which was just ok. The convenience of not having to get ready for the day before having breakfast outweighed the ok food available. The fitness center was really well equipped with all new machines. We did not have a car with us because of the location and free shuttle but I did hear people grumbling about the $28 parking. read more

I just want to thank everyone at the Hotel for making our stay September 21st and 22nd 2018, so amazing. Our daughter got married, and we had a block for rooms for friends and family. The sales manager we worked with was Lauryn Lacis, from the beginning to the end she was outstanding, keeping us in the loop on pick-up of our block, letting us know days ahead of time that our cut-off date was approaching, incase we wanted to reach out to anyone that hadn't made a reservation, and following up after to be sure everything went great for us, unbelievable customer service. The hotel, rooms, staff and breakfast was off the charts, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you for making this happy occasion in ours lives even more special. One mistake after another. First they booked us a room that wasn't available, and upon check-in, we had to get downgraded to a lower room at the same fee. Then the next day, when our room was supposed to be ready, they kept us sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes while they tried to resolve the issue they had all day to figure out. Also, parking is $35 a night (not included in your room fees). After the mistake, the first manager lied saying the parking at the hotel is a separate business from hotel. The second manager told us they could comp the parking and had no idea what the other manager was talking about. If you come to visit Denver, stay at the Sheraton on 16th. It's down the road and has a Yard House inside. read more

Although the hotel itself was decently modern and relatively clean, the staff was rude and misinformed; which would have ultimately cost me a lot more money if I hadn't persisted that my problems be addressed. For one, there is no option for parking, you HAVE to pay $34 to valet (and that's per 24 hour period). My problem occurred because the valet staff told me that I could use the metered parking behind the hotel, and another staff member told me it was free on Sunday; both of which were untrue and I ended up getting a $30 ticket. At check in, the staff member informed me that a manager should have called me to let me know that I would only be getting the employee discount rate for 1 of the 3 rooms that I booked. Of course no one called and it's frankly dishonest to inform someone of a change in the price at the time of check in, but the staff kept saying "its policy" and didn't care to consider anything else. I called corporate and learned that policy dictates 2 rooms booked for the discounted rate is the allowance, and corporate actually had to call this hotel and argue with the staff because they weren't honoring the policy. Also note that the bathroom has a weird sliding door that has this big gap at the side. So no privacy when it comes to bathroom sounds and smells. Ultimately, they did waive my valet fee because I had to pay a parking ticket and I got my discounted rate for 2 of my rooms, but I did not appreciate the hassle of it all. A group of friends and I stayed here for NYE. We respected the rules and did not smoke in the hotel room (MMJ) as a couple of us have our medical cards and we respectfully stepped out side even in the 7 degree weather. After check out the hotel decided because the found ash in the garbage can they were going to charge us $287 for a "cleaning" fee. They did not have to shut the room down for cleaning because there was no smoking in the room but because there was ash in the garbage can they felt it was enough evidence to slam us with an absolutely outrageous fee a WEEK after NYE. Personally I would love to know why it took a week after the room was cleaned to decide to charge us $287 for a cleaning fee and then send us in circles for 2 days (so far, still going at it with them) to try and figure out how they think this is even remotely acceptable. read more

I absolutely loved my stay here! The rooms were modern and clean. The staff was just amazing. We came in around 1am after driving 11 hours with a baby from Kansas City and were greeted by the valet, Billy. He was amazing! He was super informative and friendly. He took really good care of us even though we didn't valet park our car. The breakfast crew was also amazing. They were so helpful and kind to my baby and me. The lady at the front desk made extending my reservation by a day simple and she was just so friendly. I don't remember her name, but I was staying there the first weekend of May and she worked in the morning. The staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms, and the comfy beds work together to make this a great place to stay for the night. The modern decor is just a plus after all the other great things this hotel has to offer. Oh also, in response to the review that mentioned the mandatory parking, I just wanted to correct that because there is public parking available. It's super close, about 1/4 of a mile just straight down the road. You can ask the valet and he will tell you where it is. I think it was $8/day, but we ended up not paying anything because we parked there around 1am Saturday morning and didn't use our car at all until we left Sunday morning when no one was working. The attendant at the lot said that if we left on Sunday morning we wouldn't pay anything, because there is no one working on Sundays. The hotel is within walking distance of everything, so we just walked everywhere we went and had free parking. We've been traveling for awhile now, so I haven't had time to write this review until today. My boyfriend and I kept reminding ourselves to leave the review for "Billy and the Breakfast Crew...and the front desk lady". So here it is! read more

Really disappointed in this place. Gold Member of Marriott, stay at these hotels all the time. Needed to check out a day early and they wouldn't let me change even though I notified them 1 day in advance per written policy. I don't blame the staff who were quite cordial, but the management here is clueless. read more
