Just recently got back from an amazing trip to Chicago. We decided to stay at the SpringHill Suites. It is convenient to the airport. Also it's about a 20-minute walk to the nearest Subway. They do have a shuttle that goes back and forth to the airport as well We booked the hotel through Hotels.com and got a good price We stayed for 3 days. When checking in the young lady at the desk was very nice and informative the place seemed very clean as well. there is a train that runs along the side of the property it wasn't a problem for us but if you are a light sleeper this could be an issue also the airport is nearby so you may hear the planes but like I said not a problem at all for us. The room was amazing comfortable and very well spacious there was a few things that could have been a little bit more updated like the tub was peeling in some sections the pool could have been larger but not a problem for us. Housekeeping only comes every other day but if you run out of toilet paper or need more towels you can always ask the front desk. If you have a vehicle they do charge $32 a night to park. I like to eat so the breakfast is very important to me. The breakfast was amazing the breakfast buffet had plenty of food and on the weekends they offer waffles they had four waffle irons. The staff that takes care of the breakfast works very hard and was very attentive providing plenty of food from eggs to sausages Bagels hard boiled eggs English muffins oatmeal and they offer the waffles only on the weekend also they have orange juice apple juice coffee tea milk chocolate milk and some cerea. overall experience was very good definitely would recommend it if I get back to Chicago will definitely stay again read more

I forgot some belongings in a drawer. Called them the same day to check the drawer and recover my belongings. I had to call 4 times and each person promised to look into it. It takes 5 minutes to go look in the drawer!! I'm still waiting 4 days later for a response. Unreal! I'm ticked. read more

Conveniently located near the O'Hare airport and walking distance to Catholic Church. Safe area with a few eateries across the street plus a Mariano's grocery store. Friendly staff especially at front desk. The gym needs maintenance as it was missing 15 lb weight and the tv monitor on the treadmill wasn't working. And the wipe dispenser was empty. Note that the swimming pool is open only 9 am-9 pm. The signs posted need to add that detail as I brought a swim suit just for the stay and ended up not being able to enjoy it after all. Breakfast option included healthier bar boiled eggs, turkey patty, oatmeal and toppings. There is coffee and tea self service near the elevator. Great affordable option when you need a place to stay nearby. read more

I first came here in 2010. The place was obviously 12 years newer than this stay. I was so happy when we first came here with the free parking. Well, they longer have free parking. It costs $17 dollars a day to park. I was also very happy they had Ethernet so I could hook up my computer and get directions. They do offer free wifi but with 5G phones it is somewhat redundant now. The property has not been updated since 2010 the room while clean was just so outdated the lamp shade are all crooked and broken. If you are an obsessive compulsive this might be a problem. The bathroom tile really needs replacing. They have millions of dollars in renovation that need to be done. The free breakfast was just a cheap free breakfast. What makes me come back. Very noisy, as it's right next to the highway and the El (elevated rail). So if you're deaf, this is a great place to stay. There's no soundproofing like most hotels around airports have. No shuttle last night and I waited an hour after calling twice and being reassured by the front desk that the driver was "2 minutes out." Finally took a cab and unfortunately paid cash and didn't get a receipt, only now being told by the lying front desk gal that I could have been reimbursed. This is like a cheap hotel next to an interstate and not up to Marriott standards. I won't stay here again and I don't recommend that you stay here either. read more

Absolutely loved my stay at SpringHill Suites! Very friendly staff and very accommodating. I was in town for business and their shuttle took me to the building I was meeting at and to the airport after. The driver Kibble is super friendly and knows a lot about Chicago. (He was one of the best parts of my stay!) Rooms are clean and neat and the hotel is connected to the Outback Steakhouse with nice hours so if you need a bite to eat it's super convenient. Highly recommend and will definitely come back for future stays! read more

Employees were excellent. Check in went great Michelle was terrific, housecleaning great, food service great, RJ the manager was great. Location excellent, close to rapid transit. Breakfast excellent. Price for the area was very good. Rooms a bit dated but still well kept. Parking fee is outrageous but all of the hotels in the Rosemont/O'Hare area seem to stiff you on parking. I prefer Marriot properties and would certainly stay here again. Great Value and Marriot discount for stays over 5 days, we stayed 14 days, so we benefitted from the discount. Not one problem or issue and everyone was friendly and helpful. read more

I have never experienced customer service like this! Yesterday we checked into the Marriott SpringHill Suites In Schaumburg. They asked what brought us to town and I told them it was spring break and mentioned it was my daughter's birthday tomorrow. We went to breakfast this morning and came back in. I was carrying her birthday present. The employees started singing started singing and brought out a personalized cake and a balloon for her birthday today. I was speechless. They went above and beyond! The staff has been so amazing here. I just had to brag on them. Highly recommend this hotel! read more

Disappointed that this hotel doesn't clean the rooms daily. The hotel is fine and the staff is very friendly and accommodating but it seems that management has made some bad decisions about cleaning the rooms. As a Titanium Member of Marriott Bonvoy, I was quite surprised that this is the only hotel that I have ever visited that decided against cleaning rooms daily. read more

My stay was fine until the morning, when the smoke detector went off while I was taking a shower. After scrambling to get dressed, I went into the hallway and realized that only my room had an alarm going off. I went to the front desk where the staff told me that the smoke detectors are "very sensitive", so much so that "the steam sets them off". Then they turned it off. I find this frustrating and concerning for a few reasons: - maybe the smoke detectors should be fixed so this doesn't happen? - this seems potentially very dangerous, if staff are used to these false alarms - what happens if there is a real fire in a room? - if this is so common, they could have told me when I checked in so I didn't panic about how I was going to exit the building I will not be back. read more

We had a great 2 night stay at this Mariott property. They do had an airport shuttle, BUT YOU MUST CALL FOR PICK-UP AT AIRPORT. Rooms are quite comfortable- LOVED the soft bed. I also really liked having a bathtub. Rooms have a microwave amd refrigerator. Breakfast is pretty good. Cereals, bagels, oatmeal, sausage, scrambled eggs and assorted beverages. The best feature for me was an adjoining Outback restaurant! The hotel looked and smelled clean. Even though the freeway is adjacent to the hotel, it was very quiet. This is a nice choice for an affordable hotel near Chicago Ohare Airport. read more

I understand MARTHA is busy on 1/1/22....however she needs to be retrained on customer service. I've been on hold well over 30 minutes because she's with a guest. At least come back to the line and let me know if our crew is on the manifest or not. Multitasking is a skill she needs to learn. This is unacceptable. Especially when our company invests so much money in this hotel for us. EDIT....I finally spoke to Martha, and she explained she's the only staff there. I'm not from, nor am I accustomed to Chicago. This hotel is not for anyone who wants to be downtown; this hotel is about 20-30 minutes from the downtown area. The people working here were absolutely friendly. I have zero qualms with the service. When I called back because they messed up my parking refund, they were also so friendly. This hotel was one of the dirtiest hotels that I've been in. The couch had stains all over. There was something gross on the floor. The room set up was so weird. Beds aren't the most comfortable and are not queens. They were very small. I won't ever be staying here again, it was a random stay and there was a Groupon deal. Like I said, the service was friendly and when I complained about the room, they refunded my parking fee. read more

I really love Marriott properties but I can not give this property a great rating. Upon my check-in, I walked into a steamy hot room because the AC was completely off. Now, some may be wondering that's normal because I'm in Chicago but let me tell you, it was hot. I called maintenance and they had to literally get into the ceiling to manually turn on the AC because the Central Heating/AC was so outdated, there was only one option...hot or cold. I opted for cold. It was entirely too cold, the temperature could not be adjusted what so ever. I did contact corporate because it is 2022 and the system should be updated. I don't blame the maintenance staff...they did what they could but the false advertisement of the room is ridiculous. I would suggest updating the thermostats. No one should have to be uncomfortable in their rooms. Second issues is, it's advertised as a suite but there isn't a single utensil or dish in the cabinets. So much for a suite. They could have at least supplies 2 dishes each. To say the least, I am heading to another property and hoping for a better outcome. #SadCustomer read more

This place is a little behind the times. Due for some renovations, this SpringHill Suites location was fine for a night but I wouldn't want to have too much of a longer stay. When I arrived, the restaurant had closed and there was nowhere close by to grab food, aside from the small snack stand in the lobby. My room was clean but in need of floor repair and updates. The phone didn't seem to work and the toilet took multiple flushes to work. Thankfully, on a chilly night, the antiquated thermostat was working well. After having to call on my cell phone, the front desk was very responsive and they promptly brought forgotten toiletries to my room. The complimentary breakfast had a good variety of offerings that are typical, including pastries, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, and juice. They also had eggs and biscuits with gravy. Located just off of the lobby, there was an ample seating area. I worked out in the small basement gym that had a few treadmills, an elliptical, a stationary bike, and free weights prior to heading to the small conference area for a meeting. The space was clean and the catering was decent. The check in and check out process was very easy. They offer a complimentary airport shuttle that runs every 15 minutes. read more

Stayed for a few nights. I liked the stay. Good room for the price. You are about a 30 min ride on the Blue Line to downtown Chicago. The employees were helpful, if a little cold and distant, but they probably get more guests there for business. The walk to the station is about 7-10 mins, if you are not able to walk very far. My only "complaint" would be the short hours for the breakfast. Weekdays it is over at 9am. It would have been nice for about 30 mins, but it is free, so you can't be too picky. read more

Hotel actually called to see if I was still checking in. I said yes, flight delayed, will be there around midnight. Finally get to hotel....they gave away my room. No rooms available!! Ideally I would preferred not to spend money when I go to work. For the price, I was a little iffy. But as soon as I stepped into the property, I definitely felt welcomed by Lisa! She's simply a sweetheart and then and there I felt at home! I actually came back for a second time. Usually I wouldn't come back because I got charged for parking when I didn't park there. And the gal that I talked to in the morning that I checked out didn't care to do angything about it. I called twice she told me she was busy and didn't care to do it. I had to call a third time. Which was done immediately. But on a usual case I would have left and never came back. But honestly Lisa made me feel at home and I gave it another try. It's not fair to punish that one terrible employee while everyone else is amazing. The shuttle drivers are all sweet and kind. I've met 3 so fair and I'm more than happy to come back. I recommend this place to be your home away from home even though there's one not so great employee! read more

Our experience was horrible. The general manager Keith, would not even speak to my husband and I about our experience. He accidentally put me on speaker twice, then sent me to voicemai. When we arrived back at the hotel, he had a staff member lie to us and say he had left, so he didn't have to speak to us about our experience. The shuttle driver dropped our bag out of the van while driving us to the airport and tried to say we left it at the hotel but airport security brought the bag and stated they saw him drop it. The shuttle also took an 1 hour and 25 minutes to pick us up from the airport, although the hotel is 10 minutes away and they state that their shuttle runs every 15 minutes. I kept being told that he was on his way. I filled a case with Marriott and will be following up with the BBB. read more

Been here twice on business and it's always been a great experience. Firstly, check-in staff are always in a great mood which is really refreshing. Secondly, the hotel has a good common area & breakfast (incl. business center for printing and lots of room if you want to sit somewhere other than your room to get some work done). Finally, the rooms are great! They have everything you need (couch, desk, microwave, fridge, spacious closet) - and they're very clean. No weird smells! The restaurant that's attached is actually pretty good - it's classic American bar food but there are a few healthy options on the menu and very reasonably priced drinks. The shuttle is very convenience (runs twice per hour) and the drivers have always been very nice people. Would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean, convenient, hassle free option by the airport! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I checked in with Magda who gave me the warmest, most genuine welcome I've received at a hotel in recent memory. She was very accommodating and gave outstanding customer service! I loved their complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport, as well as a local shuttle that can take you anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel, which includes the CTA train station and a fabulous grocery store, Mariano's. If you bring your own vehicle, parking is $17/night. Rooms are extremely clean; housekeeping does a great job. Our shower didn't drain efficiently but hot water was instantaneous and plentiful. Bed/s and sofa in the suite with a sink, refrigerator, and microwave, desk and chair. Complimentary breakfast was good and had a decent variety of items available. We arrived as tired travelers. The staff at the front desk immediately welcomed us and made us feel at home. Since it was a Monday night and the hotel was apparently empty, the friendly front desk clerk upgraded us to a King suite. I can't tell you how thankful we were! A work emergency arrived around 9pm and I was able to work comfortably at the large desk equipped with a desk lamp until the emergency was resolved. Thanks to the large and comfy room, I was able to bang out the necessary work. The gym is small, but does the trick. I was a little sad that the Direct TV on the cardio equipment was acting up (it only had about 10 viewable channels, none of which where basic ABC, which had the show I desperately wanted to watch.) The next morning we too full advantage of the complementary hot breakfast. Pretty much everything a person needs to fill their belly up with a healthy start is included. We noshed on cold cereal and milk, hot scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and toast. A shuttle transport guests to ORD at quarter-to and quarter-after the hour. This was a HUGE convenience for us since we returned our rental car the night before. I strongly recommend this hotel. The price is great considering the inclusive shuttle and breakfast! read more

We stayed here for the first time this weekend. Checked in Friday and got to our room which was ok, but we did notice some small blood stains on the carpet. Didn't feel that it was significant enough to complain so we let it slide. We were gone all day Saturday from 9 am until 8:30 at night and housekeeping never did our room.. we were in a hurry leaving Sunday morning and didn't stop to complain or request service, we figured surely they wouldn't miss our room two days in a row.., returned to our room Sunday around 9 pm and still no housekeeping. Unacceptable. Will not be staying here again. Even the nice breakfast buffet doesn't make up for lack of fresh towels and freshly made bed. read more

I would hold off staying at this hotel for probably a year they're abusing the covid restrictions if you go a 1/2 mile away you can stay at a Marriott it's a shank and Spring hills usually a pretty good product but they won't let you sit down you have to go to your car and eat or your room and they sit up a statue that doesn't exist or rather it doesn't say that you can't sit down but they're just abusing it to save money so I would hold off staying here for about a year with that man I recommendation read more

Service lacked a little..I don't know her name but one of the ladies in the front had a little attitude over the phone when I asked for some extra towels..the breakfast was decent..would've been nice to have some meat in the breakfast rather than just egg and biscuit gravy..speaking of eggs for their breakfast..super dry and over cooked.but overall liked it here..love how they have a basement parking ..great for families and when it's super cold and snowing outside. More 3.75..... The location is close to the airport... Very close which means you can hear the air traffic clearly. Not a big deal unless you like sleeping in. The hotel itself is descent enough - polite staff for my entire visit. The breakfast had lots if options. Fruit, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal.... Your standard breakfast options. Free parking and located on a street that has plenty of strip malls and eateries to choose from. The best part is this hotel is close to a REALLY good pizza joint called GIORDANOS. Reviewing them also. Older property but in decent condition. i like the separate seating area and the rooms that also have a sink, microwave and mini fridge. I broke up with Hilton and am giving Marriott properties a try. So far so good. But they could offer more cable channels. At least they have HBO so I wont miss GoT. read more

I was charged an extra $30 for parking without being told about it at check in and when I called to speak with the front desk they said that they can't do anything about this! I stayed here for four nights. The check in process was quick and easy. We had a suite with a king sized bed and a pull out couch. There was also a desk area, a microwave, and a mini fridge. The room was very clean and comfortable except for the last night. It had rained that day and it was humid out. Somehow this made it humid in our room too. The sheets felt damp during this time. This place serves full breakfasts with your stay. Dining hours are from 0630-930 daily. They have everything from eggs to waffles, oatmeal, cereal, and fresh fruit, among other items. There is also a small area where you can buy frozen meals and things like ibuprofen if you need them. Parking was easy. This hotel is also conveniently located about a half a mile from the L blue line and is close to O'Hare. read more

Front desk guy was very nice but wearing his mask poorly. At times off his nose, then on his nose. Hotel breakfast ( since they aren't allowed to do buffet ) was an apple, granola bar, bottle of water and prepackaged blueberry muffin. The apple and water was the only thing my husband would eat. It would be smart for Outback that is connected to the hotel to do a room service breakfast with a discount provided by Marriott. I know Outback doesn't do breakfast but it would be so easy to do a small prefix menu. Room was clean , but even cleaner after I wiped every surface down with hydrogen peroxide wipes. We ordered dinner from Outback since they are part of the same building. I will give you my review of them on their yelp page. On our way down to get our dinner we walked by two employees in the hall, one put his mask on when we walked by, one never put on a mask. On our way back to our room we passed the same two employees and the one still didn't have a mask on. We did not do housekeeping, I opted to keep the do not disturb sign up since I sanitized the room and just didn't want anyone inside. Parking area was good but they charge for it, what you pay for a room should include parking especially a property like this that doesn't share parking with buildings like in the middle of down town. I stayed here due to its proximity to the NBOME national testing center, where osteopathic medical students go to take their COMLEX Level 2 PE practical board exam. The hotel is located just down the street, no more than 5 minutes away from the NBOME. Springhill offers a free airport shuttle pickup and our driver, Kimball, was absolutely wonderful. On the ride from O'Hare to Springhill, Kimball answered all of our questions, told us about the area, offered restaurant and travel tips, and was just so pleasant. He detailed, step by step, the process I would go through the next morning to take the hotel shuttle to the testing area. This really meant a lot to a nervous student before one of the most important exams of their academic career. The rooms were large and comfortable, with a living room area, kitchen area, and bedroom section. One of the major assets of the Springhill is having an Outback Steakhouse located right within the hotel. We took advantage of that by dining in one night and getting takeout the next. If you want to dine out, the hotel shuttle runs anywhere within a 2 mile radius. The front desk workers were very friendly and helpful, going well out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel breakfast each morning was nice, with a great selection, I just wish that there was bacon on the hot bar, rather than sausage every morning. I had a wonderful stay at Springhill and would definitely recommend it if you need something close to the NBOME or if you just want a hotel that puts their guests first. read more

We stayed here for Christmas of 2018 and returned in 2019. I originally booked for 12/21 through 12/27 and apparently never changed my reservation, so when I showed up to check in on 12/23 there was some confusion. No problem at all...Diane at the front desk made some phone calls, did some computer work, ensured that my stay was still booked with points, AND got us a nice corner suite. Visited this hotel with my significant other, 13 year old son and 4 month old son last weekend for two nights. The room was well appointed for our family. The room consisted of a King bed; pull out sectional and small kitchen area. The king bed was separated by a partial wall which provided some privacy from the pull out sofa and kitchen area. There was plenty of room for a pack and play provided by the hotel. I was skeptical about using a hotel pack and play but it looked like the pack and play had never been used. The hotel also provided a crib sheet and cute little baby blanket that matched the linens on our king bed. Front staff was always friendly. My SO found Magda super friendly and even took our baby down to visit her. Parking is free, but a bit scarce at this location so you may end up with a bit of a walk depending when you park. There is a pool and gym on the basement level. We didn't use the gym but it did look nice and had enough room where you wouldn't feel crowded. The kids enjoyed the pool which was nice and warm (warm enough that our 4 month old even took a dip with no issues-just remember your swim diapers and plastic overlay to go over it). We had the pool to ourselves and after talking to another family they also stated they had the pool to themselves so I don't think it is frequented often by guests. In the pool area they had plenty of towels, chairs and tables. Breakfast on Friday included biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, pastry and your usual free breakfast affair. Saturday's hot items were make your own waffles, eggs and sausage. The sausage wasn't great but gives you something to make a quick breakfast sandwich with. My 13 year old was sad that they never had bacon on the buffet. There is an Outback on site which is a nice convenience since I was able to take the kids to dinner without driving. I previously lived in the area so this was my fifth visit to Outback in the hotel (during my pregnancy I couldn't get enough of their coconut shrimp). Sometimes service can be slow, but the food is always good. The hotel also had a small market place which offered a small area with over the counter medicine, souvenirs, beverages (including small bottles of wine and beer), candy, chips....). The prices seemed reasonable. A half bottle of wine was $11.00. read more

Kudos to this amazing team which continuously makes guests feel so valued. The GM is doing a super job. Some industries have really been hit extraordinarily hard during COVID. Certainly food, travel and hospitality. So I'm glad to see this property is continuing to make things work despite challenges. This property has superb customer service. You'll feel it immediately upon check in. We had Bobby S. at check in and Diane at check out. Both exceptional people who are truly fantastic at their jobs. Property has a nice, functional fitness room and while I miss the buffet breakfast and endless coffee & tea, they at least are providing a bag of b-fast foods in the morning. They are certainly being aware of cleaning and sanitizing surfaces. Felt very safe to us. Nice views of airplanes on approach to OHARE. Be sure to ask for a room which allows for the best vista! I am so happy we stayed here! Great room, phenomenal service and overall experience. Our flight was delayed and we checked out around 3am... I called & let them know the circumstances. They allowed us to re-check in and keep our room. Even offered the late checkout at 1pm all at no charge. They also provided free breakfast from 6am to 9am. Variety of selections. I am so grateful to the staff. My 2 teenagers and I would've sat at the airport for 12+ hrs no sleep, no shower. Thank you so much. We appreciate you! read more

My fiancé and I were in town on business and had a mostly great 2-night stay at this hotel. It quickly went downhill when we took the shuttle to the airport. Let's start with the good: This hotel is beautiful, clean and has great customer service (except for the shuttle service.) We experienced phenomenal customer service from the front desk staff to housekeeping to every attendant in the breakfast area. Our room, 732, was spacious and clean (aside from the surprise waiting for us in the fridge from the last person staying in the room.) We loved the fridge and microwave. We also appreciated that there were paper plates and plastic spoons and forks readily available in the room. The bad: We checked out on Monday 11/14 and took the 7:45am airport shuttle. I kindly asked the gentleman, Kevin, to wait one more minute because I was waiting for my manager to come down and give us our checks from work the past weekend. Kevin immediately denied my request and stated we had to go. I didn't fight it and moved toward the shuttle. As we approached the shuttle, an older white male was waiting outside of the shuttle and asked if we could wait a minute for his associate to come out. Kevin agreed without hesitation and I was LIVID. One minute passed, the gentleman approached the shuttle, the door shut, our manager ran out and Kevin drove off. Gender and racial inequality and white privilege in a blink of an eye. To make matters worse, he took us to the wrong terminal THREE TIMES. His excuse was that he usually doesn't drive the shuttle. We left feeling angry, disappointed and just overall let down by Kevin's customer service. Terrible, terrible lasting impression from this hotel and Springhill Suites. read more

First of we got a very good rate for our stay. Considering everything was clean and we got a decent breakfast included there isn't too much to complain about. The thing we enjoyed the most was the heated pool, substantially warmer than other pools we've been in. Also it was not over chlorinated nor crowded. This was a big plus for us seeing that we have children. We also used the kitchenette quite a bit which saved us a few meals. It definitely was a good plus for us. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. The negatives included that their outside windows desperately needed to be cleaned. Also every time we walked out the side door we had to walk through someone's smoke. Finally the thing that bothered me the most was the huge trash can in the dinning room filled with plastic uttensils plates and bowls. Pretty much every time I was down there the can got replaced as it got filled so fast. It seemed those items could have been put in a separate recycling bin instead. This has less to do with a service level and more to do with ecology. As for the breakfast it was better than other chains I've been to. The notable mentions were the fruit and condiments for the eggs. The pears were the best at optimal ripeness. I liked the fact that the eggs had cheese, spinach, and salsa offered. They're still not like home cooked eggs but I did have them every morning. Long story short for the money this hotel met our needs pretty well. read more
