I was so looking forward to having some down home comfort food, but because we sat at our table for 25 minutes without any attention from wait staff pretty much forced us out to eat else where. It was a Friday night, but it wasn't even packed so I don't know why nobody came to offer us even a glass of water or to tell us to hold on. I've been here 6-7 times now and the food is good. Other then the pics I've also had the chicken fried steak several times and also good. Though the size of the fish fillets are not always the same size from trip to trip, maybe different supplier or my eyes. My main concern is the service is always slow now matter how many tables are taken. Last night it was 22 minutes before someone came to take drink orders. It was Saturday night but I've been there with two other tables and it was still slow. I wasn't expecting to be in the restaurant and hour and 32 minutes for dinner. So if you have no time issues, the food is good. read more

A cute, vintage, antique, country environment. We were sat immediately around 6pm on a Monday. Waitress was friendly and the sweet tea was perfect! There are a lot of fried choices on the menu. I'm not a huge fan of fried, so it was hard to make a decision. I ordered the special, chicken tender basket. It came gravy, fries and toast. I also ordered a side salad (wee made), to feel better about all the carbs! She also threw in some hush puppies because she thought they came with the meal (but they didnt). It was kind of her to give them to me anyway. They were yummy! The chicken tenders were perfect! Juicy and tender. The gravy and toast was great and the fries was normal. Have yet to eat inside, as we didn't try them until Covid hit, but the atmosphere was nice. Typical family owned catfish decor and esthetic. We've only ordered twice from here, but each time the fish was good. I really like their pinto beans, and I'm indifferent about the fries. The fish itself isnt my favorite, but i do enjoy it. It's crisper than my favorite place in town, which i orefer crisp fish, but it doesnt match in flavor, so that's my reasoning. One day we'll have to come eat inside and maybe try out their buffet to get a feel for some other items on the menu. Somehow I always commence to eating and remember afterwards I didn't get any photos, so no photo evidence, but the filets of our satisfactory size. read more

It reminded me of catfish Parlour in some ways but let me tell you the flavors were nothing to compare when you order the fried pickles, fried mushrooms and even fried green tomatoes. I've had some trouble with fried lately but that was so good because it was just regular it had its own little seasoning to it or something. The chicken fried chicken was so good with mash potatoes and gravy, so was the fried catfish which was excellent and no fish flavor what so ever. Overall everyone was so pleased with how the food tasted and they are already wanting to go back again and enjoy the food. The atmosphere is nice and not loud so you can carry on a conversation which really helps when it's a small birthday celebration of 6 people. Can't wait to go back! read more

Every time I come to visit, I try to have lunch here at least once. It's all-you-can eat and the buffet has really, really good stuff on it. Generally speaking, here's what I eat: 1 catfish filet 2 hush puppies 3 gallons of macaroni and cheese 5 lbs of onion rings 5 lbs of mashed potatoes and gravy Seriously.. just give me the mac, the rings and the mash and I'm stupidly happy. Their enchiladas are also on the buffet at times and are surprisingly good. You should plan on eating here once very two weeks or so. Any more than that, and you'll die of a heart attack. My friends and I were in the mood for catfish and we decided to try this place for dinner. As soon as we walked in we liked the decor of the place, definitely has been open since the 80's. We were taken to a booth and then placed our order. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, blackened catfish and fried catfish. My blackened catfish was honestly the best I have had, and we have tried other catfish places around. It was super flavorful and came with some really good cole slaw. My friends told me the fried green tomatoes were excellent and I wish i could have had some, but that will have to be for another time. read more

We visit here every once in a while, I've loved everything that I have ordered so far. My son loves seafood, but he's a growing boy and getting seafood out with him gets expensive. So we tried something new today and he ordered the hamburger, he said "it was the best and his new favorite burger!" So now we have a new go-to spot for eating out. The bartender jumped in to help and even some of the kitchen staff made sure to help delivering the meals while hot and absolutely delicious! A friend and I came for lunch during our lunch break. I got the buffet which was cold and gross. My friend ordered a two piece catfish and double coleslaw. Super easy! I was done eating and she was still waiting on her food. The restaurant was about a 1/4 full. We waited 15 minutes after I got done eating and she finally got her food. We had to get it to go. I asked for a manager and she was like no big deal and told me sorry that's just because of who's in the kitchen. I was like wow, your food sucked and you tell me my friend didn't get her food because that's who you had in the kitchen and didn't offer any discount or anything. Was just like sorry, too bad. We've been eatIng at this place for about 20 years now, and one of my daughters even waited tables for awhile. The reason for our continued patronage is fried catfish. It's so good I don't bother ever eating it anywhere else. I follow a low carb routine, so a meal here is a real treat. The fried food is worth every gram. Piping hot, never greasy, perfect texture. This place is also responsible for my sweet tea fetish. It was the first place in Texas that I tried it, and although I limit my sugar it is a secret indulgence. Someone might observe that this is a palace of unhealthy food, and the size of the customers tends to reinforce that observation. My daughter and I love the catfish and fries at this restaurant! We recently tried the fried pickles. They were a little salty, no surprise. But they were tasty also. Main dish was the chicken fried steak which came with a salad and mashed potatoes. The salad was fresh and good. I was so very disappointed regarding the main course. First the mashed potatoes tasted like instant and were so extremely salty I really could take 2 bites. The steak was tough, not tender at all and SALTY, SALTY. OMGosh. even my friend finally said this is so salty. 'Did they add a whole saltshaker?' Again, if I were alone, I would have sent it back. The service was very good. I was craving catfish and my husband suggested here since it was checking the boxes of everything I was craving. I am so glad we came here. This place was everything! The service was great!! I got the catfish and shrimp dinner and it was amazing. The fish was light, yet crispy, and tasted fresh. I loved the shrimp with the cocktail sauce. And all the sides it came with were outstanding. My husband had the chicken fried steak and it was cooked perfectly! Honestly I am baffled by the low rating of this place. It was extremely clean, staff was great, and the food was the perfect meal. We order food online from this restaurant last month in MAY we had ordered $80 worth of food paid for.. all good as of two days ago someone took our card and charged $80 worth of food that we did not order I spoke with Becky the manager she try to reach out to the company that did the charge they would not respond so I just point she told me to file a dispute it from our bank, making us feel that we are the criminals that is so wrong for what they are doing. Never been here but did go to Catfish Parlour from time to time. Same place different name. Food was average. I had large shrimp Platter while my girl had combo fish and shrimp. The pinto beans were ok but cold everything else average. We had the onion rings as an appetizer, ok but a tad greasy. What I didn't realize until we left, they didn't give us hush puppies. Hush puppies were the signature at Catfish Parlour. For the price it's ok but won't b my first choice for seafood. The service was a tad slow but no bad. The Community Impact magazine had a buy one chicken fried steak dinner and get a second free, so we tried it out. I can safely say that both chicken fried's were the chewiest we've ever had anywhere. My wife tried two bites of hers and finally gave up and just ate fries, which were good, the side salad that came with it was decent too. I ate mine, I like a little chew but these were ridiculous, i could have made a pair of work boots out of them. read more

I had the worst experience ever!! The rudest server I've ever came across in my life. I will never go back. We ordered two catfish dinners and a child's chicken fingers. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out and then she got my granddaughters food wrong. She was given a child's catfish plate instead of chicken fingers. We told her right away and proceeded to wait 20 more minutes before asking for the check. When I told her I was tired of waiting I was over it she started talking back to me and was very rude. A manger never came out to talk to us. She refused to own up to her mistake. Showing me how the chicken fingers and the catfish are right next to each other on the order form. Didn't apologize for anything just kept saying it was the kitchen's fault not hers and how the two items are close to each other. So not only was I really upset that my granddaughter never got her food but how the server was unapologetic. Plus on top of everything just how rude she was!!! I don't recommend for anyone to ever go there!! The service sucks and the food is not good as well!! To the mangers or owners I don't know her name but I know her section table 16. We were in Pflugerville and missing the old Springhill Café that used to be in Bee Caves. Sometimes I don't think out what I'm ordering. This evening, I wound up with fried okra, fries, hush puppies, and fried catfish. Only the beans and slaw weren't fried. It should come with a roll of tums. The catfish, okra, and beans were good. Fries were pedestrian, and the slaw was very mediocre. Service was acceptable. They need some more greens. The waiter was rude, inattentive and downright disrespectful as was the restaurant manager when summoned by us.
