I called 3 references and talked to two, including the church mentioned in another review. All said their work was satisfactory. This business does not have an Oregon CCB license. When I asked about that I was told by Jacob that they were working on it. That should have been my first red flag. The price they quoted seemed reasonable based on a previous quote I had been given a few years before. When they came the next day they did a good job of power washing, although we had to expressly ask them to clean up the dirty overspray mess they made of our back porch. Neno made a lot of promises about how he would come back if there was something we were not satisfied with and they even wrote on the invoice that they were giving a 3 year warranty. At the time I questioned why the cracks didn't really look like they had been filled. They told me to wait until it dried and it would plump up. The next day I sent them a few pictures of areas that hadn't been sealcoated at all. I have given up on expecting the cracks to have been filled. They responded once saying they would call me when they finished the current job they were on. I never heard back from them. A few days later I called from a different phone and Neno answered. I explained that I was trying to reach them to have them sealcoat the areas they had missed. He set up an appointment for 11:00 am the next day. They never showed. I am sure their 3 year warranty isn't worth the paper it is printed on. In general, their work was substandard and their business practices were dishonest. Not a small job, and an emergency one, because she LOVED running around the neighbors' yards. Lucian and his Dad braved the elements on extremely short notice, and built an entire new fence (mostly in the rain) for a great price. They gave me lots of upgrades, like unknotted wood, and thicker footers, and were incredibly fast and efficient. Its beautiful. That should have been enough, but - no - then my about six months later my back neighbors got their own Bernadoodle puppy, and the two dogs decided they didn't want a fence, so my pitty figured out how to pound her head against the boards until they bowed, then get her jaws on the wood, and tear through it. Lucian agreed that metal roof panels attached to the back fence would probably work (either that or an electric cattle fence), so he and his son came back out with the panels, cut them to fit, and spent a day attaching them, which - it turns out - is not as easy as it sounds. Again, quick service and excellent value. This family business, NW Modern, is fantastic, and I highly recommend them. And yes - it appears the metal roof panels are working!

After discussing what we had in mind, a full wall of masonry for our fireplace and a couple of walls bricked, he sat down and came up with ideas for stone and design. He proved to have a real eye and design capabilities and improved what we had in mind. I felt I should get two bids and Rex Hill's came in far below a well known company in town. My next concern was that our home is lived in, fully furnished and I was worried that there would be a mess to be dealt with. Scott assured me that it would be no problem and they would take care. It wasn't perfectly level, so leaving it open would cause it to slowly close, even with no wind. It had to be always locked to the ground. 2. Wood staining was poorly done, leaving parts of the wood exposed and uneven stain coverage. 3. Only 6 months after installation, several of the screws that attach the boards to the metal frame snapped/broke, leaving the boards completely loose/dangling. When we contacted the company to fix, they wanted to charge us $300 to fix it. When we argued that this is unacceptable, they said they would come over to fix but never did and just went silent. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional behavior.
