We were policed about bringing a soft cooler with water only (I had to prove I had no outside alcohol) with temperatures in the mid-90s. They admitted they had no beverage cart or water coolers on the course, but they would gladly sell us beverages at the turn. Now for the course: The tee boxes were all in horrible condition (see photos.) There were areas, especially around the greens, that were swamp-like. It's early October, 95*, and I had four balls plug! The first cut of rough is high, combined with overwatering, just to give the fairways a greener look, created even more muddy areas. The power carts shut down with no warning if you were five yards off the fairway! Four non-par 3 holes were cart path only for some reason. The last time I was here was 20 years ago. Things have actually gotten worse.

You don't need to be an experienced golfer to enjoy yourself, which makes it a great option for a group with different skill levels. It was a fun way to spend time with coworkers outside the usual work setting, hang out, and try something new together. Even as a beginner, I enjoyed taking a few swings and seeing how I did. After this experience, I'd definitely love to check out Topgolf again, whether for another team event or just an outing with friends!

Totally worth it for our large groups or even just The Family we usually get that plus the $42 platter and then maybe another appetizer to share. It's still a great deal. We absolutely love this place. We have not met an employee that wasn't super nice and super helpful. They have a bar ,they have an outdoor area that looks like you can rent for private parties, but they might have itfor special events too. I haven't looked into that yet. And they also have a small shop where you can get golf balls, clubs, shirts, hats, etc. you can even bring home a commemorative Top Golf golf ball from the giant gumball machine, full of golf balls! Sure, some of your neighbors might get kind of rowdy and kind of excited but honestly, it's not that bad. Family friendly for all ages and it's so cute to see see the little kids swinging a golf club! They have a ton of different games that you can play so that even if you're not very good, you can still score points! For the golfers in your family, they might love being able to see how fast their ball goes and what the loft . Easy parking but realize you're at the edge of the bay so sometimes night can get chilly even when it's summertime. Max (who I believe is the owner) went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and provided some of the best customer service we've experienced. The reservation process was quick and easy, and the hourly rate was very affordable ($40 per hour and additional $5 per person) Since we don't own golf clubs, they provided us with a set at no extra charge, and even gave us complimentary chilled water bottles, which were much appreciated after working up a sweat. The facility itself was spotless, comfortable, and nicely air-conditioned, making it a great place to spend a an hour in especially on a hot day. One of our favorite features was being able to stream YouTube TV, so we watched the World Cup while practicing our swings--it made the experience even more enjoyable. The simulator technology was incredible. It provided detailed feedback that really helped us understand and improve our swings. Whether you're a beginner like us or an experienced golfer looking to fine-tune your game, the technology is both fun and genuinely useful. Overall, we had such a great time and can't recommend Fox Hole Golf Club enough. Between the outstanding customer service, clean facilities, affordable pricing, and top-notch simulator technology, it was an all-around fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back!

Sydney who's the manager at Rancho Del Pueblo Golf Course provided an explanation to my review of…read morethis locations driving range is due to it serving one purpose and has the following issue: She said the driving range is used as a water drainage location. My answer to this is that this is ridiculous. I've lived in San Jose, Ca for over 15 years and this driving range is always dirt! There are no golf courses in Santa Clara county that look like this one. Driving ranges are supposed to be what you might expect on a golf course. Lastly her other statements on the type of soil is present is a poor excuse. Everyone knows that the groundskeeper maintains the golf courses but they need to have the resources to do this. When you look at other golf courses, what do you see? Golf courses maintenance costs money. How do you think other 9 hole golf courses are able to make theirs look nice? Everything being about equal something needs to happen. This golf course needs to improve its driving range. It will need to be closed until these changes are made. If it's really being used for drainage this water needs to get directed to a different location. New soil needs to be brought in from somewhere. Grass has at least basic maintenance that includes water and fertilizers. What does the people that go here to use it want to happen?

With the Ritz Carlton hotel in the back drop on the finishing holes of both courses and the spectacular ocean views, it's a memory you remember for ages. The Old Course is my favorite of the two. More character and variety of holes to challenge your skills and course management. Good greens and fairways among the quietness as you wind through the nice neighborhood homes along the course. 17th and 18th are their signature Pebble Beach like holes. On that final hole, nothing beats hitting your approach onto the green after carrying the water in front of all those Ritz Carlton guests!! You might even get some applause for it. The Ocean Course is what most visitors want to play, with many more Ocean view holes, but not as much variety of holes and shots. Still a good colf course with challenging shots and bunkers to navigate. And being on the water, it can get pretty windy, too. It's not cheap but when compared to rates at some of the other top public courses in the Bay Area and Monterey, it's a pretty good value and you definitely don't want to miss it.
