She has gifted hands and a wonderful aura. Feel so blessed to have found her. She came to my house postpartum and made me feel human again.

I suffer from moderate to sometimes severe TMJ, which also screws with my sinuses. I recently found…read moreout about Anne and her amazing company- Barrio Bodywork - who specializes in TMJ treatment (along with other body work). I've had several sessions, and I can't even tell you what a difference it has made. Anne uses hot stones, Gua Sha tools, myofacial work, CranioSacral therapy, and trigger point therapy to help relieve tension in the neck, head, and jaw. I'm so thankful that there is someone local that is trained to help with this. I thought that there was just the night guard that was my only relief. Thank you Anne! Looking forward to visiting her at her new location.

She's okay, not the worst, not the best. Pros: she's good…read moreat back massage, leg, and foot massage and can give decent firm pressure. She's a very nice and friendly person. Cons: other body parts she's not that great at like with arms, glutes, and especially neck massage (she barely touches the neck). She also doesn't really listen to what you need for example, I asked her to focus on my legs and right shoulder, but she barely spent any time on my legs or right shoulder and spent the majority of time working on my back, which I didn't ask for. I mean it felt nice, but not really what I wanted. This seems to be a theme with a lot of massage therapists though I've noticed. You ask them to focus on something, yet they spend the majority of time somewhere else, and it's mainly the back. I don't mind back massages, but sometimes I need the focus elsewhere and she didn't really deliver. I bought a package of four 90-minute massages and I noticed it isn't technically a 90-minute massage. More like 75-80 minutes. She should at least mention that. Other places I've gone to like iBalance Wellness Spa actually do the entire 90 minutes. But anyway, I digress. Another con is that she cancels appointments a lot, always having something to do with her kids so then I have to reschedule and it's hard for me because I rarely have a day off from work myself. Overall, she's okay, decent massage therapist, but I think I'll be looking elsewhere for a massage. If you need a good back massage, I do recommend Alyssa, but for other body parts she may not be your cup of tea.
