I'm so happy I made the decision to take my dog to Sit Means Sit in Madison, WI. I'm a dog MOM. A…read moremama bear over my dogs, and entrusting them to anyone else is extremely tough for me. They are my world. In all honesty, I was very unsure about the e-collar. That was a huge hurdle for me to jump, but I'm glad I did. One thing that helped was on the first day, when I dropped off Stella, my 3 year old rescue, Lab-Rottie mix, Nikita allowed me to feel what these collar felt like, on the palm of my hand . It wasn't at all what I had built up in my mind. It felt like a tens unit, that I've used for muscle tightness. Not painful, but an interruption to distraction, redirecting attention- is the best way I can describe it. From day one, results were nothing short of AMAZING. When I picked my dog up after her first day, I was in utter disbelief. I had a different dog from day one. My high energy girl, who would bark at people who said hello on the sidewalk, and bark and growl at other dogs, as well as pull me, came home with some manners. We've made major progress from each class. My dog who was afraid of everything, and had no confidence, is now "placing" on big rocks, tree stumps, anything that she can jump up on, at my command. And she sits or lays there, until I release her. People at the park are amazed, standing around watching MY (crazy) dog, and are complimenting me on what a "well trained dog she is." () A week before we started training, I was cussed out by a man, because my dog barked at him, which made her bark at him even more... it's hard to believe that this is the same dog. You have to do your part at home, reinforcing the work from your trainer. But, it's not hard, as you go about living daily life, you tweak little things and do things a tiny bit different, and voala! You have an incredibly mannerly dog! Sit Mean Sit is a solid program. The owners at Madison, WI are great folks, and their own dogs are often there too. Their communication is second to none, as is the trainer's. Our Trainer, Brenna is OUTSTANDING! Many times, she has reminded me to text her if I have any issues! She means it. And I have. They work through things with you and your dog- you're not alone, and there's phenomenal support. My confidence has grown too. I'm being trained along with my dog. Our walks are enjoyable and even fun now! It's like playing par-core! Whatever raised surface we find to "place" on, we do! She loves it! I love it! Now, I'm excited to grow her skills even more! She has so much potential that never would have been tapped into! I plan to continue training my dog in new skills, and take her to refresher classes, group classes, whatever I can do to help her realize her very best potential!

Independently, they all behave well, add 3 other dogs and chaos ensues!. We contacted John for help. He quickly identified behaviors they needed to work on, one being impulse control and worked with them 3 times a week. Then we met with John and he showed us what he was doing with our dogs so we can continue the training. At the end of each week John works with our dogs and us to ensure the training transfers from John to us. Our dogs are significantly calmer now and look to us for directions. We have young grandsons who have been able to play with all of the dogs and not be afraid of getting knocked down His methods have been very successful for both us and our dogs. John has a knack with dogs. They trust him and have fun figuring out what behaviors he wants them to do. We hope to have John a part of our dogs lives even as the training piece is ending. He shares great insights, and all while in your home to maximize positive outcomes.

We cannot recommend Tyrese at A Howling Good Time Dog Training highly enough! FIVE STARS!!…read moreWe adopted a rescue dog who is half Great Pyrenees and half Husky--two breeds well known for their intelligence, independence, and reputation for being difficult to train. In fact, another trainer we contacted declined to work with her because of her breed mix. Tyrese, however, welcomed the challenge with confidence, patience, and skill. For one month, three days a week, Tyrese worked with our dog, Margot, and completely transformed her behavior. She is still the smart, independent thinker we love, but she now reliably comes when called (sometimes with side-eye, lol) and stays on command--something we weren't sure would ever be possible. The progress she made is remarkable and her spirit is intact. What impressed us most was Tyrese's training style. He is incredibly kind and gentle with our dog, and she was never fearful or stressed during training. At the same time, he maintains complete control and earns her respect through consistency and clear communication. It is obvious that he truly understands dogs and how to bring out their best. Tyrese also invests heavily in training the owners. He visited our home initially to observe her behavior and provided many instructional videos, of his work with Margot, for us. At pick up time, Tyrese also spends one-on-one time reinforcing the skills we need to continue our dog's success, His commitment to both Margot and the family makes all the difference. If you're looking for a trainer who is patient, knowledgeable, effective, and genuinely cares about your dog's well-being, Tyrese is the person to call. He is also super fun and flexible to work with. We are incredibly grateful for the confidence and freedom his training has given both us and our beautiful young rescue pup.

He's not trying to be a dog whisperer--some mystic with secret skills. It's about teaching both the dog and the owner about behavior that works. He's a teacher. I want to shout out his colleague, Derek, for also doing great work. I recommend A Howling Good Time unreservedly.

We were asked to review the business and sent this link. We paid for the advanced 8 pack of lessons. Before committing to the pack, we asked what if our dog doesn't take to the lessons at the pace we're going. We know she's stubborn and that's why we needed help training her. The person responded that that's never happened in her time working at Off Leash K9. Well, it happened to us and it can happen to you too. We practiced with our dog daily but our trainer told us she wasn't ready to do heel (a basic command). We expressed concerns at lessons 3 and 4 with her progress and the trainer told us to keep practicing. Come lesson 7, we finally started trying advanced commands, but we did not get to select the commands like how it was advertised to us before we signed up. We were told we'd get 4 lessons of advanced commands but they only gave us 2. Here we are months later and my dog only has a solid sit. Every other command is shaky at best. In addition to all this, our trainer was late to three sessions and ended two sessions early. We also had a lesson outside in the rain. One lesson was cancelled day of and couldn't be rescheduled for 6 weeks. We called to see what we could do about our terrible experience and they offered us two free lessons. I simply don't want to be with the same trainer again but her training times are the only ones that work with my schedule. We were told that they had day and night availability on week days and weekends. What they mean is they have night availability week days and day availability on weekends. We were also told to expect a 4-6 week delay in scheduling lessons but it was actually 8 weeks. We feel so lied to and misled by this company. We saved all our texts and emails about this situation, wishing a manager would contact us about a partial refund. It was such an awful experience. I recommend you go anywhere else but here.

She returned the dog with the same behavioral issues, Missy only provided a very superficial 15-minute follow-up (fast-paced) when she dropped my pup assuming that somehow I knew how to follow up with the so-called training. Promised training notes but never followed up on them. When I questioned the training she got upset and offended (I guess is easy to be offended when you pocket $960 and the dog shows no progress). I am an elderly woman with mobility problems and took the money from my retirement account to get help to train the pup. Her suggestion was to keep the dog on a leash inside and outside the house and put him in the kennel when he misbehaved because he needed to earn his freedom. And that cost me $960? This looks like a scam to me. In my case, Missy is a disappointment. I know she blames me for my pup's behavior but that is why I hired her, to help me to train me and my dog. And she has more than 40 years of experience? Unbelievable.

I would not recommend Spring Green Animal Hospital based on my experience…read more I brought my cat in twice because he was clearly not feeling well, and after spending nearly $800, I left with no answers and no improvement in his condition. The veterinarian seemed quick to jump to worst-case conclusions rather than exploring reasonable treatment options first. I was told that my cat's ear hematoma was a major concern and that surgical removal of part of his ear might be necessary. I was also encouraged to pursue hundreds of dollars in additional testing because the doctor was unsure what was causing his symptoms. Multiple times, I asked whether a trial course of antibiotics might be worth considering, and multiple times I was told it would not help. Feeling frustrated, I sought a second opinion from another veterinarian. Their assessment was completely different. They immediately told me the ear was not the primary concern, drew blood for testing, and started my cat on antibiotics and steroids while awaiting results. Within a short time, he was back to acting like his normal, happy self. What bothered me most was not just the cost, but the feeling that my concerns and questions were being dismissed. I felt rushed through appointments and as though asking questions about my cat's health was an inconvenience. To make matters worse, my parent was hung up on while trying to follow up about details from the appointment. I understand that veterinary medicine is not always straightforward and that doctors cannot guarantee outcomes. However, I expect thoughtful care, open communication, and a willingness to consider reasonable treatment options. That was not my experience here, so I would absolutely not recommend taking your pet here unless you would like to spend a bunch of money and have nothing to show for it.
