This trail is nestled in a nondescript area backing up residential homes, but is still surprisingly quiet. The area we walked was almost completely flat, not much climbing here (my preference) but it was still a nice walk. The trail forms a large loop, and is about 5 miles if doing the full length along with offshoots. I'd probably come back to use as a beginner mountain bike trail, but my preference is more challenging trails for hikes.

There's a creek that runs through it (hence the name) lol There is plenty of parking & they also recently added this cool playground. Now, I wish there was some type of shaded area because it gets HOT. Other than that, it's conveniently close to home and we recommend it!

The trail is good for hiking, walking, running, and road biking. The trail is also accessible year-round. Dogs are welcomed on the trail but should be leashed. There is a lot to do there depending on your preference. The trail runs through some trees and eventually leads to a nice little scenic lake. The trail is made of concrete so its great for running , biking or anything else with wheels. The lake would be a good spot for a picnic too but be warned there's a lot of walking before you get to the lake. There's also a nice playground for the kids as well. I would avoid coming on to the trail if there was any rain in the previous days because the trail path can easily flood making it very unpleasant and too wet to cross. There is a soccer park close by if you want a wide open field as well. Check it out if your looking for something to do on a nice day!

It was really beautiful but it didn't need some attention... perhaps some trash picked up and the trails marked and it was be a really great outdoors area. Another great option for walking, jogging, or cycling, the trail is well marked for two-way traffic with a blue line down the center of the trail. My daughter and I went on a lot of off the main path to be more adventurous, it was great! There is all ages of people that were here, people walking their dogs, riding bikes (which was annoying) if you're walking/jogging on the main path. The view is great!! We did a hour adventure and clocked it almost 3 miles! This would not be good for the summer, would be too hot! Also there is paths that have no warning that if you go down them it goes to apartments, which suck because of you haven't ever been you have to come all the way back should be a sign that says to apartments (dead end). That was the downfall. But to get away and enjoy outdoors, this is a great place!! Even see all kinds of wildlife, my daughter pointed out a red tail hawk it was cool. With all the rain we could not go to more off paths because it was muddy and wet. So we want to come back and go on them! Plus just to come back to escape the world of being inside. Great place Richardson! A+!
