The duty free store here offers liquor, tobacco, beer, jewelry, watches, Swiss Army knives, fragrances, snacks, candy, Canada souvenirs, collectibles, apparel, and other gifts. The selection here is better than the Duty Free Americas in nearby Houlton ME and the prices are pretty good. They carry cases of Moosehead Canadian Beer and my favorite Canadian Maple Fudge, woo-hoo!! The currency exchange counter offers competitive exchange rates to the banks in the Woodstock area. The Go Food counter offers beverages, cereals, baked goods, sandwiches, and ice cream bars. This store caters to travelers heading west from Canada into the US. If you are a US citizen, you have to declare your purchases here when you reenter the US. Okay so I just entered Canada from the US and NEEDED CANADIAN MONEY!!! What do I do next with my US MONEY??? Instead of trying to find a bank in Woodstock, NB, I got off at the first exit and headed back west on Highway 95 towards the US border so I could visit the Maritime Exchange to exchange my US Dollars to Canadian Dollars and Loonies. However, I exited the travel plaza and had to cross the highway and GO THROUGH CANADIAN CUSTOMS AGAIN. I told the agent I had entered Canada about 45 minutes before and I just visited the westbound store to exchange currency only. I was grilled a bit and let through again. I knew I was not allowed to purchase duty free items from the store since I was not going back to the US. Bummer man, because this store had some really cool sh-t! But I did find the same products in the local stores. I had to pay the 13% HST for my Canadian Maple Fudge candies, but I couldn't resist.

A good store to pick up while you're on your way home from work. I was able to find lemon juice and lime juice and small containers which I prefer. They had a large variety of meats and a variety of other items for sale. Check out they had a little bakery and homemade stuff I of course bought the whoopy pies was a mocha one which had good taste not a huge fan of coffee, but it was good. The one that threw me away was the one they meet in house. It seemed like two brownie sandwiches with really good cream inside. The staff were very helpfully taking even had somebody to bag my items. It also do a drawing weekly, which you have to check on Facebook to see if you won. Very nice surprised when I was done checking out.

Found the store online and ordered $65 worth on Feb. 5th, figuring it would provide plenty of time however, they never shipped until Feb. 12th or 13th and they neglected to even send the whoopie pies. Emailed and called and they basically said they were overlooked. They offered to send them the next day or receive a refund; family was waiting for them so of course I wanted them sent but they should have given the refund AND still sent them. Will not use their business again.

He accused me just before boarding the shuttle to Baxter State Park of not paying for the shuttle - in front of a group of other south bound hikers who were to be my "trail family" over the next few weeks. It was a shocking, humiliating experience to say the least. I HAD paid; he also had time to discuss this with me privately the previous day. (fwiw, I am a retired engineer with ample income to cover these trivial costs). When I could bring myself to talk about it to other hikers the stories flowed. Abusive behavior toward a deaf hiker who could not hear him, threats to call the police on another hiker whose crime was to show up and find out he did not have enough money to stay at the lodge, and abusive behavior toward his employee, ez rock, a gentle helpful guy. This behavior is not only abusive to the hiker experiencing it but an embarrassment for those having to witness it. One hiker told me to not let him ruin my hike; unfortunately it did for several days. It may be time for Paul, Ole Man, to retire from this work he obviously cannot handle appropriately.
