Well organized and cool to look through the different rooms. The service is usually pretty good and they'll help you find whatever you're looking for. Prices are pretty reasonable on the books as well, though some are priced higher than others. Now to the negatives. There isn't a public restroom. With a shop this big, there should be. If you need to use a restroom you have to leave and find one elsewhere, then return if you want to keep shopping. It's really inconvenient. A big problem is that the shop is CASH ONLY, with no ATM available. I get why smaller businesses opt out of credit/debit cards, but this bookstore is big (in size) and a lot of people, myself included, rarely carry cash. Like with the restroom, you have to leave to find an ATM somewhere to be able to pay for your books.

Just tossed it to us and said. Your good. Then gave each of our kids a quarter for the gum-ball machine. So when my bear hunting boys asked me to pick up a flashlight. Where do you think I went? Yep. Back to the place where we got special treatment. The owner helped me this time. He was very patient with me as I really didn't know what to get. I knew my son wanted top of the line. So he gave me a couple of options. With a nice price difference. I purchased an awesome flashlight for my son and my husband. The owner was so helpful and kind. Let's just say his worker who gave us 2 free quarters and a free bottle opener ended up turning into a return visit where we spent over $130.00. I guarantee I will be back again before we leave too. Because my husband blessed our bear guide by giving him his flashlight. lol

Also what helped was other businesses and residents passing the word around through the town. I overheard people talking in the grocery store about the shop. That's amazing that the town helps support each other. Jasmine is the cutest, most intelligent young entrepreneur I have met. She has great guidance with her mom right by her side and behind her helping behind the scenes is her family. She did great helping us get all situated with our purchases and cutting lavender. The day we went all the profits went to a charity. We bought so much. Picking was extremely easy. I just went out there with the provided scissors and cute away. In the shop while shopping Jasmine's mother educated us about lavender and the kinds they had and what they could be used for once dried, or just picked. Whenever we are visiting Northern Maine for our yearly summer vacation we love supporting small businesses and local businesses. This was a great start to our visit!
