It is wonderful for there to be a store where one can purchase quality yarns at affordable prices in this area of Maine. The woman (Carol?) who was tending the shop was very friendly and helpful. She was very down-to-earth and most definitely not a yarn snob. She has a good range of products in the store from acrylic blends at the low end of the scale to mid priced yarns made of alpaca, mohair, angora, and - of course - wool. There were a few things on clearance and I snagged a bag of cotton dk and I also indulged in a couple of little balls of angora. It was a very nice shopping experience and I will definitely be back to shop there again. As a side note, when I asked about a few luxury yarns in particular, she did mention that she is happy to order anything that she doesn't have in the shop (provided that she can get it from one of her suppliers, of course). It is becoming more and more difficult to find a store with good customer service (especially as we, in our shopping frenzy, continue to settle for less for our hard earned dollar). I will never patronize an establishment that does not make me feel appreciated. Thankfully, this store made me feel good about spending my time and money here.

There is so much history in this area that a simple glass bottle or plate or old saw can tell. We came up this summer in early July , and I noticed on Facebook an antique store had finally opened up and an amazing historical building of Dyerbrook. The owner moved here to Maine in the fall. She has a love for Antiques and I think she saw the need for the area. When I visited, she was so kind. It was nice to talk to somebody who had the same interest. The interior of the store was fantastic. I experienced both her Christmas in July set up and a general set up. She certainly has a knack for ranging things in a beautiful way. Pricing it is extremely reasonable. I love knowing that I get to go home with some items and I can look at them saying to myself. I bought that in Maine. I highly recommend you visit the store if you are in the area I'm sure you'll at least find one thing that you just can't live without.

Cashiers almost always have a smile (real or pasted) on their faces. But Wal Mart doesn't always have the lowest prices. Don't assume they do just because they say they do. Its worth it to sometimes shop around.
