The duty free store here offers liquor, tobacco, beer, jewelry, watches, Swiss Army knives, fragrances, snacks, candy, Canada souvenirs, collectibles, apparel, and other gifts. The selection here is better than the Duty Free Americas in nearby Houlton ME and the prices are pretty good. They carry cases of Moosehead Canadian Beer and my favorite Canadian Maple Fudge, woo-hoo!! The currency exchange counter offers competitive exchange rates to the banks in the Woodstock area. The Go Food counter offers beverages, cereals, baked goods, sandwiches, and ice cream bars. This store caters to travelers heading west from Canada into the US. If you are a US citizen, you have to declare your purchases here when you reenter the US. Okay so I just entered Canada from the US and NEEDED CANADIAN MONEY!!! What do I do next with my US MONEY??? Instead of trying to find a bank in Woodstock, NB, I got off at the first exit and headed back west on Highway 95 towards the US border so I could visit the Maritime Exchange to exchange my US Dollars to Canadian Dollars and Loonies. However, I exited the travel plaza and had to cross the highway and GO THROUGH CANADIAN CUSTOMS AGAIN. I told the agent I had entered Canada about 45 minutes before and I just visited the westbound store to exchange currency only. I was grilled a bit and let through again. I knew I was not allowed to purchase duty free items from the store since I was not going back to the US. Bummer man, because this store had some really cool sh-t! But I did find the same products in the local stores. I had to pay the 13% HST for my Canadian Maple Fudge candies, but I couldn't resist.

Someone rated it as pricey, but there's actually a huge variety of items here at many prices - many that are less expensive than you'll find elsewhere (seriously, $20 for a handmade wreath?!), and many items that are under $10. Everything is locally made, which i awesome for supporting local artisans, the community, and events. And Tricia - what a SUPER AWESOME person. If there's anything you need, she'll know how to get it. She gets things done. Even when it's something that isn't in the store (like knowing somehow EXACTLY what we needed for dinner and where to get it, she told us what we wanted, and when we agreed or made revisions, she called and told them what to give us). Plus, she's wicked funny. I feel like she's my own personal soul mate, but I think I'm probably not the only one who feels like she's a kindred spirit! Aside from this shop being wicked cool on an everyday basis, they went above and beyond to support the local event, the Millinocket Marathon & Half. They had medals locally made. Made tee shirts for the event. Had artisans make painted on slate ornaments commemorating it. Stood in the road to cheer runners in (and ran some in), stopped traffic so runners could proceed. They hosted packet pickup, were open crazy early to crazy late. Acted as designated drivers for the dance party Saturday night. But getting back to Moose Drop In - they were well over their usual for a given day... wall to wall people buying, needing, asking questions, wanting tee shirts made, asking directions, you name it. They never missed a step. Made everyone happy. Can't wait to come back!

I was told of some classes and wanted more information but they were to busy talking to ask. Another customer was standing there and she spoke to me of this place and stated that the courses were very pricey and they do not supply anything for the high price. She stated she did a knit class and was only taught the basics in which she already knew.

The first time I went in I went a bit crazy buying some baskets, I love baskets for crafts and they had plenty. They were an excellent price and just perfect for some projects I was wanting to start. If you don't see anything just ask, he might be able to help. They have a great selection of yarn as well as some sewing items and locally made goods. We've bought Maine made soda from there and it's a new favorite after my fiancé tried the blueberry one. There's also a good assortment of wine and some home decor items. The store is also attached to two other places, and one of them is new. There's a young children's clothing store through the back of the store, and what I believe is an eye doctor/optometrist near the front. It's definitely worth it to go in and look around. Take your time and check all of the nooks and cranny's, I bet you'll find something neat/nice to pickup with the variety in this welcoming store.

Every corner seems to be carefully curated with a few surprises thrown in for fun. Need a Mariachi Jack-o-lantern statue? They've got 'em. Beautiful bespoke jewelry made locally? Yep. Not only does the store itself sparkle but their salesforce sparkles as well. Lexie was so friendly and joyful. She knew exactly where everything was (meanwhile, I can't find my phone in my purse). She had wonderful suggestions, all of which I took to heart. If she is there when you go, be prepared to find everything you didn't know you needed. This shop is a gem. A sparkly, multi-faceted gem.
