I needed a piece of my gutter reattached to the front of my house (second story) that had blown loose during a recent storm. I got the Spoutco info off of Craigslist--they were one of the few who (1) listed a phone number in their ad, (2) answered the phone in a professional manner and (3) provided a free estimate. (Some wanted to charge me to come out an look at it--one even said it sounded like it would cost more to come out to see it than it would be to fix it!)
I spoke with Jared (the owner) who said he would be in my area later that day, that he'd stop by and gave me a window of time. Sure enough, he came at the agreed upon window of time (and in a truck that was clearly marked with the name of the company--not some 'fly by night' job). He was very polite and provided me with two estimates--one to repair the gutter and one to replace it. He also told me about possible challenges his crew may encounter that would make repairing it challenging (or impossible).
We agreed on the repair estimate, and he said he'd be back the following day to fix it. Sure enough, he and his crew came the following day (only 15 minutes outside of his estimate window of time) and they were polite and got right to it. In a very short period of time, my gutter was fixed and the crew had cleaned up after themselves.
Jared explained what had been done and I paid the bill (which was the estimated amount we'd agreed upon the prior day). The work looks good (from the ground!) and I would call them again if needed.
I'll admit I don't have any guttering services to compare this to, so I'm not sure if the price was good (or not) for the services rendered. I do know that I felt I was given fair treatment for a service that was performed as agreed upon. And for that, I'd use them again, as well as recommend them to others. A very professional crew, and well done job for a price as agreed upon. read more
