Buyers Remorse!! My dress was "used" condition! Consultation - My consultant was 1 hour late for our appointment, so we were very rushed by the time she arrived. However she was very friendly and I found my dress off the rack, my mom even gave her a $20 tip. She assured us that when we came to pick up the dress it would be steamed and any flaws would be fixed, that it would be perfect. Having this assurance I did not go over the dress with a fine tooth comb and trusted her. Dress pick up - When i went to pick up my dress it was not ready despite having given them 2 weeks notice. They said they were busy. The dress wasn't even hung properly on the hanger and handed to me in a bag, i was unable again to take a real close look at it. Alterations - when i brought the dress to my seamstress she asked "Is this dress used???" . I was shocked she asked! But sure enough there was a ton of rips , holes, and damage to the lace at the bottom of the dress. The lace was "fraying" and my seamstress was going to have to restitch the entire bottom of the dress. I emailed Sposa photos and they basically put the blame on me for not looking at the dress more closely. They offered to fix it only if i had my alterations done there (which i was not interested in since they have such bad reviews!) . I was treated so poorly and met with such rude attitude! They really don't care about you once they have made the sale. Brides avoid this place like the plague!! You will regret purchasing here. read more

Amazing staff here after going into a different store on the block and was treated like a # they fit us in for and appt within a half hr. No pressure the staff was so comforting as I'm a little older and nervous. I ended up buying my dream dress here and will recommend always. I went in looking last minute for a wedding dress, yes last minute. I walked in with a group of my classmates on my lunch hour, made an appointment for then and we started looking. Due to my last minute looking (a month and a half before the big day) I found my dress amazingly! I really enjoyed them letting me look on my own at my own pace and picking what really spoke to me. They were friendly and very accommodating. It's was a wonderful, classy feeling and they didn't push anything on you or make you feel obligated to buy anything. It was your choice. They offered advice when asked, they helped give ideas if you needed it and overall just incredibly friendly. read more

It is all about the sales here. If you want to be safe from sales tactics that trick you into buying a dress you end up regretting, and safe from penalty charges even after you have purchased your gown, stay away from here. They have a great sale section at the back of the store. This is a good place to try on dresses if your an 8+ since most the samples are in that size range. The dresses aren't as modern as other wedding stores. Price range is similar to the other wedding stores in the area. Our consultant was younger and helping a few people at once. They don't let you pull your own dresses so you have to flag your consultant. They are also helping other brides so you need to flag them again to get buttoned up etc The dress area is a little dark. Didn't love my experience here, but worth checking out if you are in the area and looking for a more basic dress in the $2000 price range. read more

We went here to try on wedding dresses and it was just the best experience. We got there late and they extended our time. There were sooo many different types of dresses in a great size range (the bride was a size 20). We had Edie help us out and she just phenomenal. She knew exactly why the bride didn't like the dress down to the detail. The lace didn't accentuate her curves properly and so we tried on a different one that had a bit higher lace on the hips and tada it instantly made her curves look different. I will definitely be going here for my bridal. read more

Came in with a friend for a wedding dress appointment, and even though the entire affair left a bad taste in my mouth...I went back! (!!!) I understand that some of the reviewers here went to Sposa specifically for certain brands, I'm curious: how did you find out they carried those lines? Was it from previous knowledge of what the dresses looked like, or did the consultant inform you about the lines that you were trying on? For my friend and I, there weren't actually any tags, so we had no idea if she was trying on a $3000 gown or its $1500 knock-off. I work in an industry that can be considered semi-retail, and I understand that in the age of Internet, you don't want customers that put things on, write down all the information, and walk off to buy it on the internet or some wholesale retailer instead of your store. I get that. But I think that instead of essentially assuming your clients are criminals right from the get-go, you should make them want to buy from YOU by elevating their experience above the competition. In the end, my bestie ended up buying her gown from a place that 1) sells designer gowns 2) tells you which designer you're trying on, and 3) average prices were probably $1000 more than at Sposa. I went back to look at bridesmaids dresses one year later. The second visit was mercifully short because nobody looked up from the reception desk and when we came in the salespeople standing around listlessly mostly just stared at us and didn't offer to help us. read more

I had an awful experience here and here's why: I tried on a number of dresses, nothing wowed me, but I like the shape of one or two dresses. I asked for the designer and the style number so I can look it up online and add it to my folder full of wedding dress ideas. I was told that they don't know the designer or style number until I paid for and ordered a dress, which is strange because you can't order a dress if you don't know the designer or style number. This bothered me, but I had already gone to one or two stores in the area that said very similar things. By the way, all the designer labels and tags were ripped out of all the dresses I tried on, which I'm pretty sure that's illegal. So with all this shady business and blatant lying, I decided just to change and leave. As I was leaving I walk close to the front door near their reception desk and I over hear one sales girl explaining to another one (my sales girl) that they know the designers, but they don't tell the customer because some people copy the designs. It enraged me because they assume the others are doing illegal things when they themselves are the people who are doing the illegal business. Needless to say, I never went back and definitely did not buy my dress from them. read more

My husband and I got engaged in June 2012 and my dress was the first thing that I had to get in order. I had visited a few shops on bridal row as well as in Seattle and Burnaby and had had a few very bad experiences since I'm a plus size bride. On Oct 31,2012 my moh and I came to Sposa not expecting to find my dress but what do you know the second dress I tried on was THE ONE! I cried, my moh cried and I swear I saw a tear in the eye if my awesome sale associate Nikki. I instantly made an appointment to bring my mom in to see it and she cried like a baby too. I knew who the designer was because I did my research long before I started looking for gowns and knew which stores carried which designers. Which I recommend you do before you start looking for your gown. However I was not getting married until August 9th 2014..... This is the story of how their customer service impressed me. My mother paid for my $2800 Pronovias fit and flare gown and honestly if she hadn't I would have had a wedding in my backyard. She made her first deposit in January of 2013 with an expectation that the dress would be in 8 months later, it came in 3 months early. The owner Edie was absolutely accommodating with waiting until we could come pay the remaining balance which removed a lot of stress. When we picked it up it was gorgeous and too big (always good news) I made arrangements to have my alterations completed in 2014 and took my gown home. My mother originally wanted me to have a cathedral length veil but it wasn't my thing and I made that clear to the ladies of Sposa. A few months later they called me to say that they had the custom veil come in in mid length and that I could bring my dress in to see the entire look. I came back in March 2014 and loved the veil. Edie then offered to store my dress and veil for me until I had my alterations completed in June. This was awesome because no one has room to store a wedding gown. I will admit I was a bit needy and did come in to try on different belts and accessories from time to time and they were always happy to see me. When I came in for alterations in June their seamstress was amazing. She was very nice, personable and got my sense of humour. She made great recommendations and did an amazing job in only 2 fittings. I highly recommend having all the alterations that are recommended done. These people are professionals and know what they're talking about. Alterations are a big extra expense but very much worth the money especially if you plan on keeping your gown. I bought a gown that I can later have altered to ware again and again and I will definitely be coming back to Sposa to have it done. These ladies we're so good to me, hospitable, professional, patient and understanding that I couldn't imagine buying a gown somewhere else. I recommend that if you're looking for a lace gown or something very special that Sposa be your first stop. read more

Purchased my wedding dress here from Gina who was extremely helpful and very patient and kind. The ladies here we're fabulous in ordering my extra belt for my wedding dress and letting me come in three extra times to try it on. They even let me hold it there for 6 months before my wedding. Great selection and decent sale prices. Sposa has a very attractive boutique look and feel to it. Love the colours they chose to decorate with. However they have a rather mundane accessory selection. Their shoes, jewelry and veils are very traditional and not very well updated. I would suggest looking else where for your accessories. read more

I went into Sposa recently to start looking at some dresses for my formal wedding (as opposed to my extremely simple "court wedding", ha). I'd seen a pretty dress in the window before my appointment, so that's what drew me in. I went in on a weekday and it was really quiet! The only downside was there was only one consultant working then, and because the bride-to-be before me came to her appointment late, I had to wait past my own appointment time for her to finish. It would have been great to have two consultants to avoid this problem! However once I got started, I found the quietness to be really nice. I pretty much had the entire store to myself! Now I was told to pick 5-6 dresses, but I do understand the reasoning - so as not to get overwhelmed (what I was told) and probably since trying on more dresses means more time, which of course could lead to the delay of someone else's appointment. I did like that I was able to browse on my own though! You just tell the consultant which dress you like and they'll take it back to the room. Other places I've had consultants be more of the ones pulling dresses for me. It's true they won't tell you what designer or brand you're trying, but literally every other store I've been to so far is the exact same way. It's a bummer for the customer, but from a business standpoint I do understand why stores do this. Overall though the appointment went really well, and I was sooo relieved not to feel looked down upon because I wasn't buying a dress that day (I'm waiting to get family from the States up here). I've got their in-store inventory numbers so I have the exact numbers to look for if I come back, and I certainly will be coming back after my experience. read more

I had the most amazing experience at Sposa Wedding World. Hillary was my consultant, and never pressured me and encouraged me to try styles that I never would have tried. The last dress I tried on was one that she had pulled, and it was absolutely PERFECT! I went to another shop afterwards, but could not get this dress out of my head. I never would have thought that I would find my perfect dress on the first day at the very first shop I went to, but I did!!! This was a nice experience. Definitely the most professional salon I have been to. The consultant listened to what I wanted, and was very proactive with suggestions. She was also very up front about additional costs with alterations. They didn't have exactly what I wanted, but I definitely recommend coming here. It is a great place to visit as your first salon. Only drawback was that they were no labels in the dresses, so you didn't know if you were trying dresses from the designer you were looking for. read more

Came here Friday morning for an appointment and worked with Rita, who was amazing. She pointed out how they had the store set up and I was fortunate enough to be there for a sale they had going on of samples. After trying on too many traditional styled dresses the day before, I knew what I wanted. In looking through the sale rack, I found a dress that was on the front window manikin for Bella Sposa and was perfect. The dressing rooms are spacious and thankfully the curtains close all the way to prevent unnecessary shows. Rita was very helpful with making sure it was done up properly and sat right. The dress fit like a glove and won me over. I was able to hold it until the end of day and come back the next morning with my parents to purchase it. While there were a couple of stitches that need to be repaired, I was told those would be done right away and my dress will be available for pickup in a week! 1 week!! They have quite a few accessories, veils, and shoes to choose from, even if you just want to see what would go well with the dress style you choose. Upon purchasing my dress, I received a booklet of coupons to use for additional items in the store, which is wonderful. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience with Sposa and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! Just a note that the shop beside Wedding World is the Bella Sposa store. They are not the same store and if you make an appointment at one, make sure you go to the right location. There is also a store in White Rock. read more

I came here as a bridesmaid. We were almost 10 minutes late for our appointment (did not anticipate the lack of parking) and the staff made it clear they were not impressed. Our salesperson while polite, was cold toward us and seemed like she only wanted to deal with the bride. She would not allow us to pick any of the dresses up off the racks, and seemed annoyed with us when we wanted to get a dress for our bride. I was suprised at what a small selection of dresses the store had. The only dresses our bride liked were ones that were too small for her. So we moved on. read more

Sposa is a beautiful bridal salon with excellent customer service and gorgeous dresses. Sposa was the first place I went to try wedding dresses a year ago. I was nervous and not really looking forward to it, but I had a wonderful time! The dress ended up being the most fun and least stressful aspect of my wedding planning so far. Edie and her staff were very friendly and helpful and pulled lots of different dresses for me to try. The salon is spacious, clean, comfortable and generally lovely. The staff were not rushing me and they allowed me to take as many photos as I liked - quite the opposite of the experience I had in other places! I found The One right on my first visit, but I continued to visit some other salons in New West and elsewhere. They were good (Bridal Gallery had great service in particular) but did not match up to Sposa. I returned and ordered my dress - they measured me and showed me the designer's measurements chart to confirm the size was right for me. They told me to budget $300-500 for alterations. It took just under 6 months for my dress to arrive. They kindly kept it at the salon for me while I waited to return for alterations a few months later (you can take it to another seamstress if you prefer). Their seamstress, Hannah, was fantastic and I had every confidence in her. She spent just over an hour at my first appointment carefully reviewing the dress and making sure that her plans were what I wanted. It had to be taken in, and Hannah did it in a way that minimized any changes to how the dress looked. She took a great deal of time checking that the bustle was how I wanted. She was creative, focused and attentive. Unfortunately the alterations were quite expensive, but the quality of work I received and the amount of time and effort they put into making it right for me certainly took the sting away. It took one more appointment to finish up the alterations. I left the store yesterday with a perfect dress. All in all it was a great experience, and I can't wait to wear it! read more

I had been to other shops that made me feel frumpy, fooffy, lingerie like, etc. with pushy sales people who were over enthused and excited about horrible styles on me. I came to Sposa and my whole view on the experience completely changed!!! Sara listened to my wants and made suggestions accordingly, she was personable and I felt very comfortable. I went this past weekend with friend's and the bride ended up finding her dress. She bought a sample off the rack and it's perfect. Sara helped us and we had a memorable experience the bride will never forget. Sara was so patient and listened to what the bride wanted. She was understanding and not pushy. We explained we wanted to grab lunch and think about it. She was so kind and told us we could come back after lunch and she had the dress written down and anyone would be happy to help. During lunch the bride decided we had to go back and try the dress again. We went back and Glenda helped us...even though they were super busy she was kind enough to work us in. We had a horrible experience at this bridal boutique. When we got there, the consultant named "melissa" welcomed us and introduced herself. Initially, she seemed fine and chill. Oh boy was I wrong... After the second dress that the bride has tried on, the lady instantly asked the bride which one she wanted. The bride obviously wanted to keep trying on dresses before she comes to a decision... she was just on her second dress ffs. Also, it was weird that we weren't allowed to take pictures (only the top 3) and we werent allowed to know the style and designer of the dresses. - we found this weird as other bridal boutiqes always disclosed the designer, but to each their own. Furthermore, my friend and I scouted the dresses that was close to our "space" as the bride tried on more dresses. We asked the lady if this particular dress can be tried on by the bride, and without hesitation this lady said "but thats not the style she wanted". I was shook along with my friend, however I said that it would be nice to see her in a different style just to see our options. This lady then proceeded to argue and said "she already narrowed her choices down..." this really infuriated me even more because she couldve easily asked the bride if she would consider the dress her bridesmaids had picked out. There is more to this.. she was passive agressive with her side comments. She said that the bride was "indecisive" and is "very difficult". Like are you serious now, this is the second boutique we've visited and of course she wont know what she wants right away. She also said that if the bride doesn't say yes to the dress now then she'll have a difficult time to choose a dress. -really? This comment was very discouraging and unnecessary, she clearly just wanted to sell. The ambiance of the place was ok... music was quite boring. Though some dresses were captivating and beautiful, We dont recommend this place at all. Overall, our experience was unsatisfactory and I wish the staff could have been nicer. She definitely was rushing and just wanted to get off. Try other places for a better and magical experience, you wont feel that from this one. read more

One of my closest friends is getting married next year. She asked me to come with her, her mom, and one of the bridesmaids to help her find her dress. I always considered this section of Columbia street as the "wedding strip" because of the sheer amount of stores selling wedding dresses/tuxes etc; I would never know where to start but sure am glad we started at Sposa. The staff was super professional and very friendly. We had tons of questions and concerns and these were all met with insightful answers. They were very accommodating, especially since my friend didn't really know what she wanted (she went through 3 encyclopedia sized bridal magazines and only got an 'idea' of what she wanted). My friend arrived 15 minutes late (I arrived before she did), one of the girls decided to give her a courtesy call just to ask where she was. I found this very professional - some businesses won't even do a thing and I like that she was being proactive about the situation. My only reservation is the price point of the dresses. My friend is on a very limited budget and the lowest price point they had was still well beyond her max spend. But that obviously means we had to go find her dress somewhere else. Other than that, the whole experience was delightful; the dress selection was also pretty good. I'd give it 3.5/5, but I'll round it down to 3/5 stars. Will go back? Yep. read more

Do not get your dress altered here! I purchased & had my wedding dress altered here. Big mistake! The service was mediocre, but the dress was beautiful. I also purchased a custom veil that was not all that great and to be honest the one I ordered online from China was far higher quality (less than half the price) and I received nothing but compliments on it. I never wore the sposa one. Once I received my dress it was downhill from there. The service was bad, disorganized and rude. They made me pay for my alterations up front, which was very odd. Luckily I made sure they noted all the alterations in the contract when I bought the dress as they tried to rip me off every time I went in for a fitting and tell me to pay more. I fought this and pulled out the contract every time to show them. They only have a seamstress tues & thurs and she is bouncing from room to room and all over the place. I had to request boob inserts and a bunch of other things that usually the seamstress and sales rep will offer (at other places). Luckily I have worked in the industry and know what was needed. But for anyone who hasn't good luck here! Also it took them 4 times of going back into alterations to actually properly take in my dress! It was a fitted mermaid, strapless style. Apparently they don't understand what fitted means, because the dress was gaping and showing my nipples. They kept telling me it "looked great" but this was a clear lie. Every time I went in I clearly stated it was far to loose and gapping and that they needed to actually take it in. At one point I told them I would rather not be able to breath than to have the dress falling off of me to get the point across. My bridesmaids were just disgusted by this lack of care and money taking. My moh actually came in with me on a sat and she had to pin my dress for the seamstress as they were not getting it. It was pathetic. I eventually stopped being polite when it was the last week before leaving for my destination wedding. The dress was finally taken in enough to not show my breasts. But not enough to be comfortable. It was still to loose and needed to be tighter in the midsection and bust. I had to use sticky boobs to make it fit better on my own. My friend also bought her dress from this store but was smart enough to not get alterations done by them and I really wish I had not either. She didn't have anything great to say about her experience either. The final straw was when they brought up my body weight as the issue! I was disgusted by this and the fact that there poor service was being blamed on me. Please note I work out 6 days a week and my bra size & body measurements have not changed in a very long time. I do my measurements often so I should know! I just want to ensure no bride has to deal or go through this like I did as it was awful service that hindered my wedding day. The dress is the main thing and when that doesn't fit it's really very upsetting. So please beware! I wish I found a dress I liked at champagne & lace or agape as service was impeccable and they show a lot of focus on the bride they are working with one on one. read more

I don't really know where to start. If you are a street size 12 and up, you're out of luck in most wedding shops in Vancouver and most likely will leave feeling obese. The frustration with Sposa is that I had found a dress in Seattle and Sposa was the supplier in Canada so I had called to order a size 16 which would save the trip to the US and on exchange rates. Easy sale. The problem: They could not source the dress for me and mentioned that the supplier only had a size 20 available and it needed to be a rush order. They had also mentioned that they all use the same suppliers and that maybe the US shop was selling me a sample dress. It couldn't be the case because the colour I ordered wasn't in my size in the store so I never actually tried on what I ended up ordering. The measurements Sposa had for me put me at an 18 so she thought 20 would fit. It seemed like a lot of alterations for me especially since I had tried the 16 on in the store in the US (I do bridal) and it fit like a glove. The dress was scheduled to arrive in four weeks (no additional rush orders) and it came within three weeks! The size 16 fits perfectly with minor alterations and I was fortunate enough not to have to pay duty on the dress which was the concern. The reason for one star is because it was more of an argument with Sposa on ordering this dress and a size 20 would have literally fallen off me and cost me mucho dinero to alter. They also only had a size 6 in store to try on so it didn't even go past my knees - I love food too much to be anorexic but honestly, Vancouver can give brides a serious complex when they only cater to East Asians!! read more

I was there last weekend my very first store to try on wedding dress, this experience was exciting and emotional. You would expect people helping you out at the bridal store be happy and understanding of the stress of bridal and wedding shopping. Unfortunately the sales girl and most girls working at this store come off rude and very cold. The person helped me out was pushy and pressuring me to make a decision. After I put a deposit as the sales person suggested, I call the next morning to cancel my hold item. But they refused to refund my deposit which only I hold for 2 hours technically. After 2 days calling the store and trying to get hold of the manager they accepted to return half of it. Overall experience was Terrible customer service and rude staff. read more

I left the store half way in love with the dress and returned to try it again. Not only did Edie indulge all of my nervous questions, she had my mom and girlfriend on Facetime! Sposa was the first bridal shop I went to look for my gown. I've been to 3 other Bridal shops after Sposa and can say that I've had the best experience at Sposa by far. Their associates are very professional and knowledgeable. Edie, specifically has been amazing. She knows the stock like the back of her hand and is extremely helpful. I'm 5"1, very petite but Edie spent the time to clip and pin the dresses on me so that the cut of the dress looked very good and not just "fitted." I did not feel rushed or overwhelmed during the 1.5 hour appointment and the way the fitting rooms are set up are very private. I would definitely recommend Sposa to any bride-to-be. As mentioned in another post, the only drawback is that they don't allow photos or tell you the brand (some other shops do this too). read more

at the time of shopping for my wedding dress, my son was 10 month old and going out for dress shopping and feeling special was such luxury.. but as any first time and new moms would be i was super limited with time soI limited my self to 4 shops max and thought I should just buy the best one of the ones I have tried from those four shops. I ended up liking one dress from Sposa ended up pulling the trigger on it but seriously, I did not like my consultant at all. She completely ruined my experience by being unkind and rude to my friends and family who have carved out their precious time to share this special time with me.. they were so unimpressed and I was actually embarrassed and disappointed. (we are thick skinned people, not sensitive nor unreasonable) it doesn't end there. there were a fews things I did not like about the dress so we ended up changing the top part of the dress a bit and added some rhinestone buttons in the back and my alteration with added buttons ended up costing $950!! that is about 70% of the cost of my dress.. so, my advise is if you are going there, please voice up when the consultant starting to ruin your experience and ask what their est alteration cost will be should you change anything to the dress or will lose some weight etc. if I can do it all over again, NEVER AGAIN. read more

First of all-The appointment was at 10am and the ladies didn't manage to get the store opened until about 10 after (- 1 star). Then I was shocked to be told I could only try on 5-6 dresses! No other stores gave me a limit (- 1 star). Finally I had 8 I really liked and the sales lady made me give two up without trying them! Finally I ended up with 3 I liked enough to go back and try on with my mom. When I told the chick on the phone who was booking my appointment that it was my second visit she said they only allow 1/2 an hour for the 2nd visit! (- 1 star!) Before my second appointment I wanted to go online and look at the dresses again because I couldn't even remember what they looked Iike. So I phoned to ask who the designers were for the style numbers they had written down for me and they wouldn't tell me!! (- 2 stars!) they said they rip the tags off!!! Wtf! If you can, book your appointment with Edie because she is an exceptional Bridal Consultant, and an incredibly kind and lovely person in general. I am probably not the easiest bride to work with (I've learned I'm an indecisive bride). However, Edie is exceptionally understanding and accommodating. Having been a Bridal Consultant myself at another bridal store in New West, I had no idea that the dresses I had worked with with were of such low quality until I came to Sposa when searching for my own wedding dress. In my opinion they have the nicest selection of dresses I've seen in any store. The experience was relaxed, calm and customized to you which is something many stores don't give you. Sposa organizes their appointments so it isn't bustling with people when you are there which allows you to feel comfortable and soak up the bridal experience. Essentially, I couldn't say enough good things about my experience here! I went to the Bridal Gallery and to Lisa's Bridal and they don't even come close to my experience at Sposa. I went with the bride to be to help her pick her wedding dress and we had the WORST experience! My friend was only allowed to try on 5 dresses and was rushed through the appoinment. The person that served us was, Shauna, who was completely unprofessional. She was unbelievable rude to us, rushed us, told us what we could and couldn't do, the whole experience was disgusting! We left the store in under 30 minutes! My friend was upset by the whole experience and so was I. Finding THE DRESS for your wedding is suppose to be a fun, memorable event and at Sposa it felt like they could care less. If you should go to Sposa to look at dresses, don't get served by Shauna, you will regret it. read more

Purchased my wedding dress here. Edie was amazing so relaxed and not too pushy. The salon had a great feel to it, very classy place.

This wedding boutique is amazing! They have a great selection of dresses and at reasonable prices as well. I had Rose as my consultant and she was absolutely fantastic! Although I didn't get my dress from this store, I had such an amazing time trying on the beautiful gowns in front of my loved ones. My experience was fabulous because of Rose. My sister is getting married and wanted me to look for bridesmaids dresses in Vancouver because the selection in her city is rather small. I knew what I was looking for and headed to Sposa to see if they had it. I walked in and was greeted by the most unhelpful person to work in public service. I told her what I was looking for and asked if they carried that specific dress. Her response? "Well, are you going to purchase the dress?" Ummm, how can I purchase a dress I am not sure you have 'cos you haven't bothered to look it up yet? Finally I gave her the dress number from the website and she looked it up even though she was sure the code I gave her was "completely wrong". Strangely, the website number I gave her DID work but it didn't match the one the store uses. How am I supposed to know what the store uses? In the end they did not have the dress in store and I was politely dismissed. I assume if I had been there to purchase a wedding dress, instead of bridesmaids dresses, I would have been treated nicely. Terrible experience. read more

Sposa honestly does not go above and beyond for their brides. Within 3 days of changing my mind when the deposit was made they would not let me pick a different dress within 3 days. After going back and forth with tons of years. I ended up losing $1000 which I saved and saved for towards my wedding dress. I work at a hospital helping people yet to see people not care at all for other people with such a simple request. This place is such a horrible place I will never forget my experience. read more

Came here a while ago to look for my sister's wedding dress with her two of her bridesmaids. This was the 3rd or 4th place we had taken a look at, so at this point, we all know what my sister was looking for when it came to a wedding dress....sweetheart neckline and a-line. We arrived at Sposa and we weren't given the warmest reception, there were two girls at the reception desk that i don't think even bothered to look up. Our first and only mistake was making the appointment with Edie. My sister had just tried on her FIRST dress and that's when things went awful. She had come out of the change room and was wearing this puffy, halter-style dress...the look on her face, I knew she wasn't happy so I made the comment, "yea, you look better in a sweetheart"... to which Edie replied, "leave your comments until I'm done" in a brash tone. I'm thinking in my head done what exactly?? Fanning out her dress?? she continues to say in an overbearing way, "there's a process so wait until the dress is fully presentable". I was so taken aback by her comment because I just didn't get it.. my sister looked displeased with the dress and there was no amount of "fanning the dress" that would change her mind so I just said what my she was thinking out loud. It just a set a really bad tone and my sister only ended up trying on two more dresses and quickly left. After finding out she's the owner left me dumbfounded, as an owner she has ZERO customer service skills and it shows with her staff as well unfortunately. My sister ended up buying her dress from Bisou Bridal, where they tell you the name of the designer, allow you to take pictures of the dress, better selection of dresses with super friendly staff read more

HORRIBLE experience! Now let me start, I am a curvy lady. If you are an 18 or above forget going here. There's no choice whatsoever in fact, they do not carry over size 18. Now the part that really got me is the sales woman, she asked me what size I am so I told her that I am a size 18, she responded by saying 'oh no hunny, you're way bigger than that' ...... My friend got her dress here, and it all sounded very good in the beginning. Tayloring seemed flexible and they assured that they will take it in/out until it was just right, without additional charge. I'm positive that they gave her a wrong size to start, because when the dress arrived, they had to take it in so much that they charged AGAIN for the tayloring, which was not what they promised. Long story short, they made her cry and my friend ended up having to pay the extra bill. Unimpressed. Go to David's Bridal instead. read more
