They also told me that previous work done by Woodies wasn't done correctly and they had to do it over. Last week, my wife's 2012 Chevy Traverse refused to crank. She had the vehicle towed to the…read moreclosest shop which was Shamrock Auto. They diagnosed the issue as a starter and we paid $800-ish for the repair. Three days later, the Traverse started throwing warning lights... the battery indicator, check engine light, and check battery charging system. In hopes that the issue was somehow connected to the new starter, we returned the car to Shamrock to diagnose. Unfortunately, they diagnosed the issue as the alternator and quoted 700-800. They suggested that I also get a new serpentine belt. With the belt, the total would be 1300. Because the vehicle is 14 years old, and we had just dropped 800 on the starter, we decided to minimize the cost of repair and we would just start looking for a more reliable replacement vehicle. We opted to save the 500-600 dollars and only get the alternator work completed. When the repairs were complete, they called to settle the bill. Expecting 700-800 dollars, I was shocked when they said the total was just shy of 1200. I asked if they had installed the serpentine belt, because this total was WAY out of line with the 700-800 originally quoted. I was told that I wasn't accounting for the THREE HOURS of labor. Maybe it's just me, but when shops quote repair estimates, they typically include the labor! I also checked online to see if I could get a good idea of what these repairs typically cost. Chevy Traverse alternators are typically replaced in the 700-800 range (total cost), with labor typically running 1-2 hours. I am not a gear head, but I have two friends that do all of their own repairs and maintenance work. Both of my friends are of the opinion that I was taken advantage of... and with zero apologies or reasonable explanations from the owner at Shamrock. I would definitely proceed with caution if you plan on utilizing this business... and get their quotes in writing BEFORE authorizing work.

I just purchased a van from here. The guy I dealt with could not have been better to work with…read more He let me take the van to my mechanic to have him look it over. My mechanic said it was a good vehicle at a very good price for the mileage (138,000) and mechanically had been well taken care of. I also ran a CarFax on the van and found it was never in an accident and had been serviced at the dealership with only two local owners. I was buying the van for my son who was not in town at the time I purchased it. They redid the paperwork so the van will be in my son's name before we took the paperwork to the DMV. I have purchased many used cars in my life and they are always sold "As-Is". So being very cautious and having read the online reviews, I would not have purchased without my mechanics OK or the CarFax. You never know what you are purchasing with a used car. Do you homework. Most of these dealers buy them at auctions and have no idea, the background or mechanical condition. It is up to you, to figure out what you are purchasing. I am very satisfied and pleased that I got such a good vehicle for what I paid for it. I would recommend buying from them as long as you do your part in researching the vehicle history and having your mechanic check it out.

They did a great job. I definitely recommend them!

**I DO NOT recommend this company*** I have been working…read morewith this repair shop (3 Masters Auto Collision, LLC) to fix one of my cars (out of pocket, and not through insurance) since March of 2024. Since the repair shop started working on my car in March 2024, they took about 3 months to "complete" the repairs. In June of 2024 I agreed to pay in full and have the car delivered to my house (total all in cost of ~$7K), I met up with the Manager (Edgar) and he gave me a receipt for my payment. The repair shop notified me that they found a spring that was faulty and needed an additional week to fix it. I told them that was okay, but then after a week the manager kept ignoring me. More weeks would pass by and after being ignored the manager would get back to me and say that my car would get fixed "that week", but nothing has resulted from this. I even asked around October of 2024 to see the car so that I could go get the inspection done. I did notice that the car was not level, and they had still not fixed the spring on the driver side of the car. The Manager assured me that they would have it fixed by the first week of December and said he was extremely sorry and that there is no excuse for not having this fixed. I've spoken to him on the Phone maybe twice since December (after being ignored over text message) and I receive the same story, that they are going to fix my car "that week". At this point it will almost be a year that I have not had my car fixed. I do not recommend this company as they are essentially scamming me.

On Wednesday, he said it would be $780 for a starter and a hose. My son called back to say we were just going to pick it up. (We live more than an hr away and we figured if my son fixed it or junked it we just needed to move on to someone who would give us a time line and communicate.) We called back a few minutes after receiving their call but for the next day and a half there was no answer. When I picked my son up from school we were only an hr away so we figured it was the best time to pick it up. We called to say we were coming and we finally had someone answer. They said the car was taken apart but I figured it was a diagnostic, couldn't be that big of a deal to put back together. They said it would be an hour, we were okay with that since we had a drive. When I got there he said it was not drivable. We knew about a loose radiator hose, my husband and son reconnected it before it did not start but I did not know it needed a new radiator. When I went to pay, I expected the diagnostic fee but he said he was charging for taking the car apart and putting it back together. I was not sure why a diagnostic cost so much but I never want to feel like I was not fair or I owed someone something. I paid it and I ordered a tow truck to take it to my mechanic, 80 miles. Driving home my son said, did you read this? I hadn't. It said we have permission to order the starter. We didn't we called for a day and a half to tell them we wanted to pick it up. This was totally dishonest. It made more sense though why they had to put it back together. I still wanted to assume the best though. I called the next business day since the receipt said we payed for the part to be ordered and wanted to pick it up. I also wanted to explain our point of view, that my son's car is only worth $1500 and my son needed to get to work, and there was poor communication weather it was their fault or not we felt in the dark. (I had asked the day before why they don't answer the phone. He said they have a number that is only for outgoing calls. Maybe we were calling this one.) Then in reference to picking up the starter he said I could not just have it because it had a core charge. I was not aware of that but asked what it would cost, he said $69. It still seemed worth it and what good is a preordered 2006 Acura Starter to him. So I told him my husband would be making the drive to come get it and would pay the core charge. My husband drove there and was told he could not have the part because it was not payed for. The charge was for dismantling and reassembling the car. Something we had never approved of. Now after my husband made the drive they did not only want the core charge but $300 and some dollars more!!! They have our number, if they change their mind call us. We never approved of the repair or part order, we said we would call and we did, A LOT of calls, and they never called us back to confirm. They had our number. The earliest communication we had after the estimate was when we said we were coming to get it. I really felt at first there was a misunderstanding, at this point I feel that it was intentional. I am not sure how they can feel they were fair in this situation. This an 18 yr old who drive a $1500 car. Keep in mind he just payed $75 to have the car towed there, $320 to leave with the car, he has to pay me back for the new 80 mile tow, and I drove him to work for a week but he missed a week of work too. The guy is smart, there is no doubt about that but his timeliness and communication is poor but I question his integrity as well.
