I'm not a hockey fan at all, so I had never been in this store before. A friendly worker (maybe owner) greeted me, when I walked in. This place was full of sports merchandise--mostly hockey, but there was some football and a bit of soccer stuff too. I really like the t-shirts of old school football teams. They were made so they looked "vintage." Lots of jerseys, hoodies, t-shirts, and a whole lot of caps lined the walls. There were a few large displays of Oilers merchandise, like yo-yos, keychains, mugs, pucks, clocks, toy cars--pretty much anything you can think of. I ended up getting my friend an Oilers t-shirt and a toothbrush. I mean, who doesn't want to put the Oilers in their mouth? Okay, bad joke.

She was helping another person before me and listening to her you can tell she is passionate and knows her stuff. Only issue, the company cuts costs and doesn't give business cards at this store. Cheap, and not a real cost cutter, and the signed Oiler's gear got sent to the Oiler's store in Kingsway. Which is a joke and we won't go back due to the horrible lack of service, or even acknowledgement that there are actual shopping customers in that store (4 of us). This place, though, was great! Friendly and superior service. Someone get this lady, Faith, to train other staff at other stores. OR fire those ASSHATS at the Oiler's store in Kingsway and get her in there.

They let you choose your style of sharpening as well. They also have a decent sized collection of hockey equipment and sticks in the winter, and the same the summer with cycling equipment as well. Definitely would recommend this place for sharpenings if you're on the Northside as I've been going here for greater than 10 years.

The bike mechanic told me it would be ~ $110; anymore, and he'd give me a call before proceeding. This was on a Tuesday, maybe an hour before they closed. He had warned me that it might take a few days to work on the bike because they had been particularly busy that weekend. Thursday, around 6pm, he gave me a call, saying that the bike needed a lot more work, and, in light of how much said work would cost, asking me if I really wanted to go thru with approx $200 work on the bike rather than buying a new one. I really respected his opinion and honesty; and after talking to me for a while, I decided to go ahead with the $200 in repairs. The bike was ready for pick-up on Saturday. It was exactly the price he said ($200) and apart from not replacing the quick-release with another quick-release, all the work done on it was excellent. Thus far, the bike has never run as well. Would definitely recommend them and will return for future service.

Yet the moment you start lingering in front of one of their products someone would pop up to help you. The person that helped me buy a snowboard was very knowledgeable and seemed to risk life and limb just to get me what I wanted (I'm guessing since he gets commission or credit if he manages to sell me the snowboard). The bad thing was at first he didn't seem to want to help me since i probably looked to young to buy anything or maybe i just looked poor. Yet the moment I said I would like to buy that snowboard and needed boots as well that was when he began treating me like a queen. I did finally buy the snowboard if that's what you guys are wondering. (If I was treated well from the beginning I probably would have rated this as a 4) - Also this is one of the newest stores so their service has to be top notch in my opinion.

It's the place to go in my mind when your in Sherwood Park. This business does it's part by offering a great selection of hockey sticks, equipment and accessories. During the of season they stock lacrosse equipment and roller hockey gear. Their prices are competitive to major box stores but the big kicker is the knowledge of the staff and the customer service. If you need your equipment cleaned, go here. They do a fantastic job of getting out the odours. Need a skate sharpening? Go here. They do a fantastic job and will cut your blades to your preference. They also do skate repairs and blade replacements.

Had a great experience with the Santa photos this year despite COVID restrictions. Booked a 15 min…read moretime slot online. Arrived a couple minutes early with masks on to have our temperatures taken. Santa sits behind a clear partition with a clear face shield. Kids sit on the ledge in front of the partition so Santa ends up showing up behind kiddo with arms outstretched (note: masks stay on in the photo). That being said all the staff involved (read: the two helper elves who should really be offered proper elvish footwear; and of course Santa) were exceptional. Santa was warm and welcoming and perfectly suited for the role. My favourite one yet! After the photo your child is able to talk to Santa from a socially distanced space on the other side of the partition. Afterwards your one free photo is printed off and placed in a card. You have the option of purchasing the digital copy if more are required. We felt safe and would highly recommend this experience!
