Food: I have heard all about this place but I had yet to give it a try! I went for breakfast this morning at Spork with a friend and ordered a pineapple mimosa and Belgian waffles with strawberry topping. The mimosa was refreshing! The Belgian waffle was a decent size and COVERED with strawberry topping. The waffle was the perfect texture for me, not to soft but not too crunchy. Overall the food was good, but it didn't blow me away. However, I would come back and try their lunch as well! Service: the staff there was so kind and welcoming bright and early on a Thursday morning. We were constantly checked on to make sure we didn't need anything. All of the servers were wearing masks as well! The plates, cutlery, and cups were all disposable which I am not sure if that is due to COVID or just personal preference. If it is due to preference I would prefer real plates and cups just for the sake of the environment, but if it is for COVID reasons I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND!! Other: the outdoor seating is so darn cute! I loved the little plant in the center of the table! I also really appreciated the hand sanitizer on the table. Did someone say Main Street in Elkton?! That's where this awesome cafe is located and I couldn't be happier. So glad to see life coming back to this area. Walking into Spork you'll be greeted by smiling faces directing you to the specials of the day. I ordered a roast beef sandwich and a cup of the mushroom soup. Both were excellent. The roast beef came with house made chips. Definitely reccomend it on a chilly winter day. The mushroom soup was hot and tasty and did it's job warming me up. You're in for a special treat breakfast or lunch. SPORK wowed the food scene and its downtown Elkton. I had the fresh chicken salad wrap with chips and my cohort had a sassy grilled cheese made with brie and pear and chips and gormet coffee. The deserts where to die for just calling out to be gobbled up and away we went with a lemon bar and a caramel bourbon cupcake! Everything is crafted and well prepared at a fair price. I really wanted the jumbo cinnamon roll with fresh cream cheese frosting. I really think it weighed like 12 oz... lol. I should have taken a pic to share. Great local place for breakfast. The sausage gravy and biscuits are AWESOME. The staff is super friendly and always remembers us. Everytime we eat there either the owner or the cook comes out to see how everything is. And you have to try the Bloody Mary - it has bacon and olives and celery - not just thrown together tomato juice and vodka - very impressed. Yes, it's a little more expensive than your average fast-casual chain restaurant - but it's worth it for locally-sourced ingredients. A few of us at work ordered takeout here. No one enjoyed their meal. My friend got the soft pretzel and crab dip. They were out of pretzels and substituted cheap white grocery store bakery bread. The tiny container of dip had no visible crab. It had a thick sheen of yellow/ orange oil on it. The dip was mostly breadcrumbs, peppers and oil. My other coworker got the chicken and waffle sandwich. (See pic) she got a bland burnt half a waffle and burnt chicken. The chips were good though. We arrived to an almost full restaurant were seated right away by the hostess who only took our drink order. Our drinks arrived, 10 minutes later our menus arrived. We already knew what we wanted and were ready to order, no one came, no staff member noticed - some customers realized that we had been waiting a long time but still, no server. After 45 minutes we finally ordered after flagging down the server; at that time the entire restaurant had turned over, my tea was cold and my husband's orange juice was warm. We waited, watched other people get their food, waited until finally food came to our table. The wrong food! We watched as the server spent time at the cash register trying to figure out what we had ordered. Finally , she came over and asked us what we had wanted. We stood up ready to go because after almost 2 hours, our food had not been cooked yet. I went to the register to pay and with some reluctance, the server told me not to worry about it. read more

This place is amazeballlssss!!! They catered the patient appreciation day that they do at my work at NCW in Perryville! Let me tell you it was delicious!
