I was excited because I've always had great bowls from them in the past and I was glad my bf was finally getting to try them out. It seems their prices have gone up quite a bit. I know that's just where we are in life but for 2 medium bowls I paid $35. It was originally $38, but I think the cashier typed something in wrong and it came down to $35. That is outrageous for 2 tiny bowls. I know its fresh fruit and acai, but that really hurt to spend on such little food. It also took a while for them to prepare the orders, which is no big deal really. But for what we got, it just wasn't worth all the hassle. Aside from the price, the acai was essentially still frozen and very cold so we had to wait for it to melt some just to try to enjoy eating it. Overall, I was let down by a spot I used to really love going to. I hope it was just a bad day.

I was not familiar with this chain previously but from my research they are located in several states across the country from California to Texas with a heavy emphasis on the Southeast. While they seem to be mostly known for their smoothies and fresh juices, they offer a lot of different acai bowls with some creative flavor profiles. The red velvet caught my attention and I'm glad it did because it was very tasty. With their bowls you have the option to pick your drizzle between peanut butter, almond butter, and honey, all of which are delicious options so you can't really go wrong. Now that I'm aware of this chain I'm sure I'll stop by again. This particular location is in a great location along Selwyn Ave and provided quick and friendly service. If you're in the mood for something sweet but relatively healthy then go check it out.

I've been there a few times now, and honestly the blending of menus for both restaurants gives customers such a broad array of things to try. They even have brunch! The restaurant is quaint and nicely styled, and the staff were very courteous. It has an outdoor area and parking in front of the restaurant. Sometimes they can seem a little bit slow for the volume of customers they have, but the staff does try to come around and check in. I attribute this to the acclimation of joining two extensive restaurant menus. You can pay table side, which is convenient, instead of waiting for someone to go run your card and come back. The new menu merges Thai with Latin American cuisine. There are several items that were already favorites, but I've discovered some new ones. Their Ceviche Shrimp is tasty. I've gotten it as a shared appetizer every time I've gone. The same holds true for the Pork Bahn Mi sliders. My friend tried the Grilled Octopus which they thought had an interesting mix of ingredients like potatoes. An item I've added to my rotation is the Lemongrass Pork...delicious!
