The club was a wonderful traditional club with a GOOD amount of meat. The bacon added an awesome salt factor and was crispy, which is how we like it! Service isn't necessarily the most attentive or snappy but not negligent either. Took like 5-10 minutes each time to get a beer, flag for check, and no one routinely filling water, etc. I kind of them to be more responsive since there were literally only 2 other tables when we came. Food: Hot honey Brussels: Strongly recommended but it was on their specials menu so may not be available year round. The Brussels were crispy and not too bitter, it was topped with healthy amounts of pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, warmed pears, Gorgonzola, and a drizzle of honey that wasn't excessive. Fish and chips: The good of this dish is the fish. The flesh is tender, properly cooked and it comes straight from the fryer blazing hot. The breading is crisp and well adhered but a little dense and oily compared to other fried fish I've had. My major complaint however was that the crinkle cut fries had a rancid oil taste which is bitter with a slight chemical smell. This may not be a problem when you go but it was very off putting for me. The tartar sauce is also VERY dill forward and very rich without any relish so I squeezed most of my lemon in it to brighten it up and help cut the grease. Mac and Jacks African Amber beer - Delicious beer served wonderfully cold Overall, this place was a little hit and miss. We really enjoyed our Brussels appetizer and beer but the fish and chips were overall mediocre at best, even if you forgive them for the rancid oil. Prices were reasonable to slightly high: two fish and chip entrees, a beer, and a soda running about $67 w/o tip. Probably not a place I would bother trying again.
