I chose the injection, even though I was scared. Well, this morning there was some bruising and very little pain. My finger is a bit stiff, but not like it was before. ALL are outstanding doctors specializing is different body limbs or spine. I find them caring and informative. Their bedside manners are wonderful. They give a full folder of instructions prior to surgery and it tells you exactly what to expect and what to prepare for. The CORE Specialty Hospital is spotlessly clean and they take excellent care of their patients. Again, I found them to be as helpful as they possibly could be. Pre-ops are a patient's responsibility to take care of with their primary, but if you wish they will do them at the hospital a couple a week or so prior to surgery. The patient's portal is available for many answers 24/7, or you can leave your question to be personally answered by staff. I'm saddened to see some dissatified comments, but I understand how pain can make life difficult. Perhaps in the future they can look back and not blame the services for what they did not understand when they were in pain. Every patient needs to advocate for their own needs, or have someone to help them do so. I will close by saying how incredibly nice it is to have on-site x-ray, CT & MRI scans. Plus, they have plenty of staff to handle your needs. Very little waiting for visits. They have a screen showing each physcians' name showing if he/she is on time or not. As a "frequent flyer", I've never had a wait time of more than 10 minutes.

I have a high tolerance for pain, however it became too much and Dr Bates gave me injections that really helped a lot. He was a very kind doctor. The last time Dr Steven Porter went over my injury and explained what was showing on the xray. He then went over the treatment and explained everything and gave me a choice of what I wanted. The shot he gave in my arm worked miracles. I got a full nights sleep, the first since my second injury. Dr Porter was very patient and had great bedside manners. I would give him five stars!

The practitioner I saw gave me her card and said to call them if it gets worse or doesn't get better. Well, the pain has gotten worse, so much so that it is impacting my sleep at night. It's been three weeks and I'm exhausted, haven't gotten a good nights sleep, at all. Called them to see the doctor again, since this is greatly impacting my quality of life. Can't see me for at least ten days and that's in the middle of a period where I will be out of town. What's the point of giving me a Card and saying to call them and they will get me in right away. Not very good service.

The staff is amazing, not just top notch, but extraordinary. They are all caring and so personable. It's a wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Addy is also amazing, easy to talk to and down to earth. As for my results, they have been great and I am maybe half way through my program. I went from limited mobility to being able to do the things I love: from cycling to everyday errands and chores. I'm so grateful to have found this place and the investment has already been above and beyond the cost, to be pain free and energized. I would recommend anyone make the investment: cost and time. Your body and mind will thank you for it!

I was honestly pretty apprehensive when I first walked into AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic…read moreDesert Ridge. After having major back surgery years ago, my spine has been retaliating in every way possible -- chronic pain, major scoliosis, and slipped vertebrae that have been getting worse lately. I've been going to weekly chiropractic adjustments at different places for years and even completed several months of physical therapy last summer that was prescribed by my orthopedic surgeon. Lately, nothing seemed to be making a real difference in helping me sleep without pain, or be able to sit for more than a few minutes. And I had pretty much given up hope that I could actually get better or see any meaningful correction in my spine. From my very first visit, the team at AFC Desert Ridge made me feel heard and genuinely cared for. My chiropractor took the time to listen to my full history, reviewed my imaging, and created a thoughtful, personalized plan instead of just giving me the same generic adjustments I'd had everywhere else. For the first time in years, I'm actually starting to feel hope again. My pain levels have noticeably decreased, my posture is improving, and I'm already seeing small but encouraging changes in the alignment of my scoliosis and slipped vertebrae that is causing pain to shoot down one leg. The staff is friendly, professional, and truly invested in helping patients heal. The office is clean, modern, and welcoming -- it's a place where you actually look forward to your appointments. If you've had back surgery like I have and feel like you're out of options, I highly recommend giving AFC Physical Medicine & Chiropractic Desert Ridge a chance. They've given me something I haven't had in a long time: real hope that I can get better. Thank you to the entire team -- especially my chiropractor -- for restoring my confidence that improvement is still possible!

He is passionate, honest, and genuinely friendly. You can tell he really cares about what he does, and it shows. He's not on any kind of pedestal--he talks with you, not at you, which makes a big difference. He's also at the top of his field, with patents for orthopedic surgical tools and a technique he developed called the Later Technique. My recovery has gone smoothly, and even my home PT said that Dr. Dungy's patients consistently seem to recover faster than average. That said--no matter how great the surgeon is, you still have to do your part. Knee replacement is a partnership. Put in the work, and you'll be in the best possible hands with Dr. Dungy.

I woke up from surgery and thought to myself, this was a good experience and pain level was a 1 out of 10 and haven't needed narcotics. I recommend spending the night at the hospital and getting some extra TLC prior to going home, it was worth it. I also appreciated the in-home physical therapy for the first two weeks. If my left knee needs to be done I would in a heart beat go back to Dr Dungy. My emotions went from frightful fear of having a knee replacement to wow, this wasn't that bad of a process to go through. I was pleasantly surprised for such a good outcome so soon.
