Kelsy has been cutting my hair for over 17 years. She's seen me through a variety of hair styles, and always helps me look and feel my best. She's as adept with a curly-hair cut as she is with the perfect blunt cut (my personal go-to). She takes her time to know what her clients are looking for, and delivers an expert cut every time. I truly believe a haircut doesn't get better than Kelsy's!

I've lived with Kelsy cuts for eight years. Before that, I was envious of people with beautiful hair thinking it just wasn't in the cards for me. Kelsy gifted me beautiful hair from my very first cut. Working with her gives me a sense of confidence not just with my hair but in my whole relationship with beauty. Add to that, she is a remarkable human who makes the experience of a haircut grounding.

so happy I had no clue where to go or what to do for an outdoor concert. I just wanted my naturally curly wavy mermaid sort of crazy hair to look nice down with control lol! Christina was my stylist and just wow she was genuinely kind and worked with my budget I seriously couldn't ask for more! She did the most beautiful curls I have Ever had and fast! The salon is beautiful and intimate as well and in a beautiful old building so I didn't feel out of place or intimidated.

I've been getting my hair cut by Kelsy for 7 years and have never loved my hair more! Whether I air dry or blow out - my wavy/curly hair falls beautifully. Kelsy's haircuts bring my hair to life, giving it incomparable shape and movement. She's simply the best!

I first visited Kelsy after a recommendation from a close friend/hair-crush with similar hair texture as mine. I've had many hairstylists over the years who simply didn't understand my hair and I would wait anxiously to outgrow the cut, until Kelsy. Kelsy is an artist and a sculptor with a calm yet powerful presence that makes you instantly trust her. I show her cut references and I watch in amazement as she shapes each individual curl, always going back to check her work until she's sure it's right and sure that her client is smiling ear to ear. I have never received as many compliments on my hairstyle and texture as I have since Kelsy, and most important, I have never felt as confident embracing my natural hair. She has shown me a few incredible products and styling tips as well that never fail. As a performer, I often have eyes on me. I used to load up on products and bobby pins trying to force my frizzy hair into place accepting that it just wouldn't cooperate. Now, all I want is to rock exactly what I've got. The fact that I still love my hair after a few unwashed gym days and headbanging on stage is a testament to Kelsy's immense talent. I always leave her chair ready to take on the world. She is a gift.

Kelsy's craft goes way beyond hair--she electrifies the air around her and lights up the world she inhabits, bringing out the very best in people she meets, inspiring them with her warmth, generosity, talent, and artistry. Carving a shape strand by strand, Kelsy sculpts hair, watching closely how locks react, curl, spring, flow, pop. She allows a shape to emerge that frames a face, balances a body, reflects a personality, a lifestyle. Each cut is unique but what they have in common is effortlessness and a sense of movement. Michelangelo once said, "The sculpture is already complete within the marble block, before I start my work. It is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material." This is my experience with Kelsy. She coaxes the true beauty out of my hair.

Vibes are immaculate! First time here and will definitely be returning. Michelle was amazing! She knows what she is doing with color and it shows through her work. I came in with a mess and no clue what to do with it. No worries, Michelle came up with a plan and went to work. Words cannot describe how much better I felt leaving the salon then when I entered. Everyone there was welcoming and warm.

Kelsy is an artist. For me, true art deeply connects to the soul life, to my internal experience as well as the external. To have the opportunity to be in Kelsy's chair is to remember what it feels like to be beautiful inside and out. She has an incredibly unique ability to see my truth and create that truth in the physical world through hair - snip by snip - with mastery. Nothing is more beautiful than knowing that my hair will look glorious, but I will also feel beautiful from the core of my being - Every - Damn - Time.

After my fresh cut with Kelsy!

I think someone asked how much a men's cut is: $30 (a bit on the medium end for me), $10 for a shampoo. Credit fees have gone up for retailers, so they prefer cash. Karina cut my hair and I was surprised that she had adjustable metal clippers for the short side length. I was very satisfied with my cut. Both were really friendly and talkative. I would definitely go back.

Scheduling an appointment was super easy, just note that they are only open during "work hours" on weekdays due to their location in the Crossings Commerce. I overhead Moises asking my SO a ton of questions before diving into cut his hair, which is always a good sign. I also have to give him props, since I was the last person to cut my SO's hair, and I had no idea what I was doing...yet his cut still turned out AMAZING! I was super happy with my haircut as well... I usually go for layers and side bangs, and Karina made that happen while honoring the fact that I am still growing out my hair. I have "Asian" hair so it's usually pretty difficult to find somone who can make my hair visions a reality, but Karina was awesome! She also is a great conversationalist, and there were no awkward silences during the cut. I will say that they are super busy--they got tons of phone calls and walk-ins during our cuts, so definitely try to schedule an appointment if you can! I will to continue to happily support this minority owned/family owned business!!!

Amazing massage!…read more You have to remember this is for education for students so you won't get the upscale feel but after the massage got started and I closed my eyes it was like being in a luxury spa. They had the music and essential oils going. The rooms itself is small and not decorated but has the essentials the students need for the massage. I noticed they don't close the doors and just have the curtain so I was a little confused when I was told to undress if the door was going to close or not. It was a sunny day so the sun was shining pretty bright so the room wasn't very dark. They had the fan going but it felt really nice with the heated bed. The foot soak was nice in the beginning, he gave me a choice of essential oils and gave me a little foot scrub after the soak. I did the serenity package for $90 which included an hour of foot reflexology where he followed the chart. The next hour compromised of a face massage (he put gloves on for this), scalp, neck décolleté, arms, legs, abdomen, glute, and back. He really worked out my problem areas and added some stretches in. I was so relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I do have to mention his voice was very calming and soothing and he checked to make sure I was ok with anything before he did it. I really appreciate him spending extra time with all my knots and issues. I wish you great success in the future Dan! They have two free parking lots that had plenty of spaces when I arrived. Bring cash to tip since they can't take tip on a card.

What wasn't expected was the poor professionalism from instructors and management. It took two instructors to create a color formula, yet my hair turned out much darker than discussed and had noticeable missed spots. When I asked for corrections, I was met with back talk, rudeness, and resistance instead of support or accountability. A touch-up was eventually done, but I still left with a result I didn't ask for and without anyone taking responsibility. Disappointing experience, especially compared to other Aveda locations. I will not be returning to this location , largely because of the behavior of the people who are supposed to be the educators.
