Onion rings
Marni M.

Spending some time by the hotel's pool, my sister and I decided to grab some drinks and a basket of onion rings. She wasn't a fan of her skinny margarita since it was still too sweet but also very sour. I liked my virgin pina colada since it was well blended and creamy. We were happy with the onion rings since they were thick and crisp. I like it when there's an even portion of onion to batter ratio and especially if they're on the thicker side. Overall, we had a pleasant experience since our waiter was kind and checked in regularly. Unfortunately, the whole pool area including Splendido had to close due to an impending thunder storm so keep an eye out for the weather if you come here!

Nice poolside bar with pool loungers service. We were able to get food and drinks while sitting in our loungers in the sand by pool. Drinks and food were good as well as the service by the servers. Very convenient for parents sitting poolside while their children play in the pool.

Turkey club - very good

I stayed at this hotel and ordered the turkey club, which was great. It was a large portion and came with a side (your choice of salad, fruit salad, fries, onion rings). I got the side salad, which was average. Everything tasted fresh and pretty good for a pool restaurant.

As pool side restaurants go this one meets expectations, an assortment of sandwiches, salads and sides. Service was okay but kind of slow, 30 minutes with a guaranteed 18% gratuity. Ultimately if you're looking for a drink poolside this is fine, but as a sit down restaurant you've got better options.

I'm so confused. The hours say 8 pm that it closes The pool is packed. They have closed at 6 pm for the past two nights. Most people come to the pool around 5ish after parks and want dinner while the kids swim. So taking my dinner plans off property. The hotel's loss.

Ordered food and drinks from Splendido on Tuesday afternoon. Not worth going out of your way for, but a fine option when hanging out by the pool. Quality: Splendido is attached to the pool at the Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. If you are chilling by the water for a while, you are likely to grab something from this bar. I ended up with both a Frozen Pina Colada and a Frozen Mango Daiquiri. Two decent versions of the classic drinks that worked well on a warm day. I was less enthusiastic about the Chicken Splash Nachos we ordered. While the chopped bacon was a fun addition, I found the sour cream had a strange texture and the cheddar cheese sauce a poor substitute for queso or shredded cheese. I also wouldn't recommend the addition of chicken, it was cold and soggy. Quantity: Decent sized drinks, but unsurprisingly light on alcohol. The Chicken Splash Nachos are large and can easily be shared between two or three people. Value: $15 for a Frozen Pina Colada. $15 for a Frozen Mango Daiquiri. $20 for the Chicken Splash Nachos. Ambiance: Splendido is located in the pool area of Universal's Loews Portofino Bay Hotel. It is located in a small hut, just right of the entrance to the pool. They have a tiny bar and some tables surrounding it. However, they also circulate staff around the pool to take orders and deliver drinks wherever you are relaxing. Anywhere you sit you will get nice views of the well-designed pool area, but there are definitely better spots than the actual dining area. Crowd: The dining area was empty, and the pool was quiet on Tuesday afternoon. I imagine during summer months and on the weekends, it gets crazy. Service: Much better than I expected. They had two or three waiters constantly circling the pool to bring out food and drinks. Friendly and fast, they did an excellent job at keeping glasses full. Parking: Self-Parking at the hotel is $28.

Great service. We ordered from here every day we stayed at the hotel and our cabana boys and girls were working their butts off. The food was good too! The nachos are HUGE. Get the souvenir cup and save money on refills.

1st Time Dining at Miller's Ale House... Good Choice…read more My family and I dined at this location on Monday 22, 2025. From the moment we walked in. the ambience and the service were excellent. It was the perfect dining experience after a long day of flying. We ordered the following: Mozzarella Sticks Tossed in Parmesan, garlic and oregano served with zesty marinara for dipping. I give this dish (5***** Stars). Fully Loaded Cheese Fries Golden fries loaded with melty cheese, crispy bacon and scallions served with ranch for dipping. This was one of my family favorite appetizers. I give this dish (5***** Stars) Zingers® Hand-breaded chicken tenders, buttermilk-soaked, golden fried, and tossed in mild sauce. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked, juicy, well flavored, and very good. This was one of my kid's favorite dishes. I give this dish (5***** Stars). Fresh Chicken Wings 24-piece wings (Honey BBQ, Sweet Thai Chili, & Chili Lime Dry Rub. The wings were cooked a little longer as requested, the sauce flavors were very good, but some of the wing pieces were too large. I give this dish (4**** Stars). Boom Boom Shrimp Fried shrimps tossed in spicy boom boom sauce over cabbage slaw, topped with black sesame seeds. Probably the best boom boom shrimps I have ever eaten from a restaurant. The shrimps were medium in size, plentiful, perfectly cooked and sauced. I give this dish (5***** Stars). Classic Cheeseburger Burger with melty cheese, crisp veggies, pickles and fries. I give this burger (4**** Stars) Brunch Burger Juicy beef patty, peppered bacon, fried egg, melty cheese, chili sauce and crispy fries on the side. I give this dish 5***** Stars). Barbecue Baby Back Ribs Slow-roasted baby back ribs, tender to the bone and slathered in sweet and tangy BBQ sauce. I give this dish (5***** Stars). Creamy Lobster & Shrimp Carbonara Lobster & shrimp with bacon, peas, mushrooms & fettuccine in creamy carbonara sauce, served with garlic bread. The pasta was perfectly cooked, but there were too many peas in the dish. There were plenty of shrimps, but only 2 small pieces of lobster. I give this dish (3*** Stars). The food was very good and exceeded our expectations. The kids really enjoyed their first dining experience at Miller's. Our server was top notch, he was prompt, knew the menu well, recommended menu items he thought we would like, and he was very attentive to our needs. A few dishes missed the mark, but overall, we enjoyed the food. Miller's Ale House 5573 S Kirkman Rd, Orlando, FL 32819

What have you done to the nachos!?! They are terrible! I didn't know "smoked chicken" meant a…read moresweet barbecue flavor. You may want to explain that in the description. The all new nachos are just disgusting. I said no queso so I could have just melted cheese and no corn but I had to pick off so much corn it was atrocious! Why is there corn on there to begin with?! It isn't mentioned that they will literally scrape an entire large ear of corn and melt it into the cheese so it's impossible to avoid. Barely any cheese - so many chips and just the worst chicken and corn that I can't get the taste of out of my mouth. Just awful. What the heck happened to the old school ale house nachos you had years ago that were so good and normal?! This meal totally turned me off of the entire restaurant - it made me sick. I want my money back for suffering through even one bite. So disappointing. There was some "meat" that looked like dog food and some looked like regular chicken. I have no idea what I just had. Might have been chorizo but again - I asked for no queso which is where it described chorizo and corn. Yet it made its way into my meal. You need more descriptors and more options to modify.

They have a great Taco Tuesday and the Half off Wine Wednesday is definitely my favorite. There's a large beer and wine list to go through, not to mention all of their specialty drinks. Whenever I have a friend visit, this is origami one of the first places I take them. Not to mention the bartenders are great at what they do. Madison makes a mean old fashioned and Jess makes an awesome espresso Martini. Highly recommend 10/10

The atmosphere was lively and fun...definitely a great spot if you're looking for upbeat brunch energy. We started with the deviled eggs, and those did not disappoint. They were flavorful, well-balanced, and probably the highlight of our meal. For entrées, my husband ordered the brunch burger. The menu didn't list bacon, and even after our server double-checked to confirm it wouldn't come with bacon, the burger still came out topped with it. While mistakes happen, it was frustrating having to wait for the order to be remade while the rest of the table was already eating. I ordered the Fruity Pebbles chicken and waffles for my daughter. It was okay, but definitely on the sweeter side. The chicken itself was coated in cereal and then topped with syrup, which made the whole dish very sweet overall -- just a bit underwhelming for us. On a positive note, the kids' portions were great. The mac and cheese and chicken tenders were both solid and generously portioned. Overall, the food was a bit underwhelming for the price point, but I'd probably give it another try...if only for the Maui Mimosa. That drink alone might bring us back.

There is so much space, even at the height of the crowd, you can find a fun game to play. You can break down your day into categories of games. We had a pinball segment, a shooting one, sports, old school arcade, Mario Kart on the Switch 2 dart, it just went on forever. It could have kept going, but we had dinner reservations to keep. Ambiance is absolutely awesome. Brilliant, electric murals cover every single inch of space. There isn't any blankness on any wall, not even in the restroom. It's wild, and it's great. There's some food options, but it's like, dumb stuff for kids. Pizza, chicken tenders, etc. So if you want to spend a whole day here, get the pass that lets you leave and come back. Unless you're into frozen nuggets. The drink game is strong, though. They have a ton of mixers that are delicious on their own, and can be mixed with some booze, too, if you'd like. Overall, there is all positives here and no negatives. I come to Monsters pretty often, and I suspect I will forever more.

Also, every square foot of floor space is crammed with wonderful and fun arcade games that will keep you busy for hours. We were there for literally six hours and only had to go for our dinner reservations. They have a nice little selection of beers, and a really nice selection of sweet slushy bases you can add harder liquor to. Really good bar. Cons: No real cons. Some would say the price, but for what you're getting here, I would think the price very reasonable. Tips: Arrive early, because during peak hours, this place can get really packed and it can get hard to find a free game.
