Waited until 11:20 AM for the store to open. 11am are the posted hours. When I called to let the owner know, turns out I got her on the phone. The owner is rude. I took my kids to art camp. The camp was ok but when we went in the store the owner never made eye contact and was a little abrupt when we had a question. She obviously didn't want to be there. My kids told me she is selling the place. So maybe when it's under new management we will return. read more

One thing I totally love to do to relax is hit up a pottery studio and spend a few hours painting. It chills me out and a week later I have a beautiful present for myself. Win-win. This time I decided to make a gift for the boy instead of a little treasure for myself. So I searched for a place that's close to my suburban home and found Splatters. I made my way over there all ready to paint a mug for the cute boy's bday. The service was ok, but there was a new girl who didn't seem to know what she was doing. I didn't care much, though, because I was distracted by the like 8 bazillion little girls that came in for a birthday party at the exact same time. Shoot. Me. Now. I considered leaving, but needed the gift. I set out to find my mug and was thoroughly disappointed by their selection. They only had a dainty teacup-like mug you'd make for your grandmother, a big ol' soup-sized mug that would be great for some of my famous French Onion, but not good for a gift for the boy, and then like 10 "normal" mugs....except they all said MOM on them. Really!? I actually considered getting out my nail file and sanding it down, but instead decided to make him an ice cream bowl. Bleh. Whatevs. Other than the annoyance of 80 million children shrieking in the back room while I was concentrating on re-creating the Kenyan flag in paint (hard as hell, man!!), the rest of the experience was ok. I think I'd drive a little further to go to All Fired Up next time. Or even The Painted Potter, if it's still around. The selection was just piss poor and that's kinda the meat of this type of experience. read more

Just left this place on a field trip and the owner and young co worker were VERY rude. For a group that just spent a lot of money on this place there was zero customer service and that was the owner we dealt with. Rather than having them free paint maybe a step by step technique would have been better. Once we lined up to leave, the OWNER and co worker were bluntly talking about us and giving dirty looks to teachers as if we could not see. She didn't interact with anyone, was not friendly from the start and gave no direction. We did not have a pleasant experience with such rude people and will not return because of that. read more

Took my nephew and a friend to Splatters on Saturday and they had a great time. We went around 11am and expected the place to be packed, luckily it was not and they were able to take their time creating their masterpieces. read more

KIDDIE CAMP! As I pull into the parking lot, I encounter a large bus and approx 20 kids. I quickly run inside and ask if they are leaving or coming in, they are leaving. Whew! Now I can look around and talk to the owner. I learn that they host parties, summer camps, events and casual get togethers. Initially, I was excited about coming her and having bonding time with my daughter but after thinking about it further, I realized that this studio is more appropriate for children. This is based on the size of the tables, the type of items available to paint and just the overall decor. I recently toured a different studio that had a more mature decor and looked as if it was designed with adults in mind and would be a better choice for me. However, Splatters seems to be a great place for kids or parents who are looking for bonding opportunities to share with their young children. read more

Great place for birthday parties. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. We paid an extra $25 for 30 minutes of extra party time it was well worth it. We look forward to our next event at splatters! read more

Went there to celebrate our daughter birthday and had a such a great time. Definitely a kid friendly place, but did not encounter anything negative. Only positives. Unbelievable....my kids painted pottery here a week ago (my daughter had a birthday party) and had a lovely time. Too bad picking up the pieces has been a nightmare. First, they didn't open on time, then they didn't call me back with a time they would be open. When I went later that day, they were finally open but they sent my daughters pottery home with the party mom, despite knowing full well they were supposed to set it aside for me to pick up. She was not sorry at all...she expressed no remorse for the extra work she caused me. Who treats people like that? read more

I had party for my daughter at this place in Alpharetta. The lady who manages this place is not at all friendly. We had reserved the place from 4:00 - 5:30, By the time all my friends kids showed up it was about 4:15, Even though we had few friends showed up by 4:00 she did not started the process. She waited till 4:15 before starting. She rushed us all thru the process we were done in the hall by 5:45 but she made us pay extra for 30 minutes. It is not that she had another party back to back, The whole place was empty and no one had party after us, It's just her way of making you pay more by starting late. What's also worse is we had 18 people attended it's more group than their usual instead of being happy for large group (we pay per kid) and give us few extra minutes she complains about it. My wife and me ended up helping in terms of giving paints to kids and carrying stuff for refill as she had not enough help which is fine, But instead of being happy about it she just got us in to rush. Kids had to paint, eat pizza and cake all in 1.5 hours with 15 minute late start. I would not recommend this place if you want pleasant party experience. read more

Took my boys, ages 4 and 6, to Splatters for the first time today. We arrived at 11:45AM to a sign on the door explaining that they would be closed until 1:00 for an off site event. I was a bit frustrated but we made the best of it and went to get some lunch instead. We arrived back at Splatters at 1:11PM and were surprised to find two other families waiting for the studio to open. We all waited 15 mins and then left in frustration. There was no information on their website concerning a delayed opening. After such poor customer service and communication, we won't be back. read more

we hosted my son's birthday party in Splatters recently with 20 kids and all the guests in our party mentioned about the owners behaviour which is very rude. we had a horrible experience with the owner lady who is not at all Kid friendly when kids were asking for some more paint she doesn't respond well. and doesn't give any instructions to the little ones to work on how they need to paint. not recommended!!! read more

Wow! My 5 year old just had her birthday party at Splatters and it was a blast! The shop is adorable and fun. There are so many crafts to choose from! One child at the party told her mother it was the funnest party she'd ever been too! The party room was perfect, everything was easy and my daughter had the time of her life. All the children went home with a craft that they designed and can hang in their rooms. If you have a child (of any age) go to Splatters! I've gone back myself to paint pottery. I would recommend Splatters for any age range, just to have fun or have a party. read more

If I could give it negative stars I would. I USED to come in all the time but Spallters just isnt the same family friendly place i remember. First off, if you don't like being somewhere dirty: don't bother. Dust bunnies were ALL over the floor and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for days... I get its an art studio but that doesn't mean the bathroom has to be dirty! And there are big handprints on the wall and they're smudged so they just look messy. There's a chalk board that said "summer camp sucks"... One more reason I won't sign my kids up! Secondly, the selection was beyond pitiful. I came in to paint a plate but I could not find a plate in the whole store (and asking for help was out of the question... That's next)!!!! But once I found a piece I could paint, the price as ridiculous! I looked around some more and kinda came to my own conclusion that the prices have at least doubled... I brought my kids here because it was a cheap and fun thing for them, guess I can't afford painting anymore! Thirdly, the service was not horrible, it was nonexistent. Usually I had to sit down and immediately I would be given my paints to choose from. I this case I had to walk to the front and eventually, this little boy who looks as if he's 12, gets off from his phone and says "um, can I help you?"... After he kinda figures it out I go back and fill out my paper and wait a couple minutes for the kid on his phone, again, to come get my order. How silly of me!!! I walked up and then he grudgingly got up and filled my paints. Thank goodness this wasn't my first time here because I got NO instruction on how to use the paint and tips. And of course, when I needed refills I just walked up to little boy on his phone because I wasn't going to waste my time waiting on him. It took him ways too long to remember which color I had, eventually I helped him out... Tis continued. I eventually noticed there was an older woman in the back... I assuming this lady brought in her son, who clearly wanted to be on his phone more than in a pottery studio, to help cover her shift... Basically if I were the owner I would NOT be happy that my store is being run this way. I remember young brunettes when I came last summer and they were lovely! They were the reason we came back so much even though we live far away (also for the little white dog, which I noticed a lot of other kids enjoyed and noticed wasn't there this summer). And lastly, I remember the radio station played used to be appropriate for children... Now I was listening to all kinds of music including things I defiantly would not like my kids to be listening to... Just overall, I'm going to have to find Nother place to take my kids no matter how much they love splatters because its obviously not a relaxing place to paint anymore. read more
