Wonderful place for a day trip with a. Bunch of kids. Very clean and they didn't make a fuss about our special needs child having food restrictions and us having to bring out own food. Love this place!

This is a great waterpark for the younger set but don't expect a lot of thrills here. What is available for the under 48 inches set: lazy River, lagoon, kids splash pad and water slides. The big pool that houses a couple of water slides is also available for leisure swimming. The obstacle course is cool looking but not for shorties like mine. There's lots of seating and lockers for $5. Food prices are inexpensive although I'm not sure of the quality since we didn't eat. The lifeguards were really overzealous in the kiddie area telling babies to get off the walls-and not nicely. Once the summer camps left, it was pretty empty on a Friday afternoon. They have life jackets but you can bring your own too. My son loved it (he's three) and we will definitely be back!

Really had a fun time with my family at this place It was crazy to see that people came from miles around and from other cities to visit this place

Splashdown was amazing and always is when I visit. The lifeguards are always so nice, respectful, and professional. Sunday seems to be a great time to visit because of the crowd, its not too many people and there are still a bunch of families so get there early. The food is delicious and reasonable. They have nachos, hot dogs, fries, chicken tenders, ice cream and pizza. The food is no more than $6-$14 for separate items and entrees. There arent many vegan or vegetarian options except the garden salad. There are no food and drinks allowed in. I encourage you to try every slide there .

It is so flipping cold out (brrr) , I am hoping writing a review of this place will give me warm thoughts. Power through positive thinking, or something like that. Hubby and I hit this place every summer, with the exception of last summer because I was huuuge and pregnant. Not a cute look in a swimsuit, trust me. Bummer that they don't open until Memorial Day. This waterpark is a ton of fun, and really big so it never feels too crowd. It covers 13 acres of space, and packs lots to do. There are TWO four story water slides (which are hella fun) as well as 2 fast "cannonball" style slides. If you just want to cool off and chill out, hit the "lazy river"- they give you a tube that you can just lie in and go round and round in it.

We arrived a little after 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. When we left at 5pm there was no line at all. You can bring in food from restaurants or even receive deliveries from local establishments. There were several birthday parties and everyone seemed to be doing well. The lazy river is the most "pool" you'll get here. It's mainly a splash pad with a lazy river. The deepest water is 3' feet. It was $44 for two teenagers, one toddler and myself. They charge based on height. 43" inches or less and seniors receive a discount. All the staff are kids. It's about an hour drive from DC. I'm sure we will be back at some point because it's not as intimidating as a Six Flags or Kings Dominion. It's easy to watch the little ones here. This is not the spot for teens. They were extremely bored. We came in contact with several regulars. They gave us the scoop about everything. Like when to come, what to wear, where the nearest restrooms are (mens restroom was super nasty btw). Otherwise, it's a pretty laid back place.

Could have saved half the cost by just buying for 2 kids. You definitely don't need more than an hour either. It's really loud, so it's not great for autistic or sensory sensitive kids. My kids don't enjoy water directly in their face, and there's nowhere to go that doesn't have water landing directly in your face. There's nowhere for adults to sit, and it's a small room so there's residual splashing everywhere; wear pool shoes even if you don't go on the play structure and are just supervising the kids. During the 5-minute breaks once per hour, it would be nice if you could use the adjacent pool I but it was occupied with aquatic sports teams. Staff were very friendly, and the overall sports/rec facility looks huge and very clean. Locker rooms were very clean as well. For our family, however, it just wasn't worth the price paid nor was it the type of water park that would work for older kids or autistic kids.

The park was clean, well staffed, and lines moved quickly at rides. They had commentary life jackets but only one in adult size which was weird but it worked since only one person in our party wanted one. You don't really need a life packet since most rides have water going up to only about 3 feet My favorite ride was the last river. We spent a long time on our tubes in the lazy river. I also loved all the water slides and was amazed by the availability of 3 person tubes which made us super fun for our party of 3 to ride together. They also have surf lessons included which I wanted to try but they closed the water park 2 hours early with no disclosure of reasons. The hot tubs were great too The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the tickets cost $63 whether it's only for the indoor park or for the indoor and outdoor park admission. There is no discounted rate during the off season when the outdoor park is not in operation, or at least that's what it seemed from the online website.

I get they have an outdoor park that makes it bigger but then the park tickets should be cheaper in the off season. Waterpark food, don't even try. It was a huge hassle and really isn't worth the price. I think people in jail get better food. Kid behind the counter was good but they kept messing up our order. More than once. Wasn't the kids fault though. As far as rules go: they don't check bags, I watched many patrons with food and drinks not from the facility (including alcoholic), kids in the adult hot tub BUT the lifeguards did great and honestly it was still a good time, just not 50 dollars a person good. Seems they're adding on, I'm sure this will make a huge difference in the future.

I witnessed a ridiculous argument between the concessions staff to include the manager and another customer. The manager called the police on the customer to have her banned from the park. I was completely shocked by what I witnessed honestly. There are so many more water parks in Northern VA, I will not be returning. The way the staff treat paying customers is CRAZY. The prices may be lower but the service is trash.
